This could be because of whether greenify or underclocking the lower frequency :good:

TouchControl alternative

Since TC has stopped developing is there any good alternative?
I know, that some kernels support tap to wake, but I'm looking for a solution in both cases, wake and lock.
Especially I miss slide to wake and slide to lock.
Thanks for help.
Hellscore + hellscore kernel manager works like touch control
For locking the screen I use a navbar shortcut

What? When did that happen (and why)?
edit: The app page is still up and running (for now) but I just noticed it wasn't there when searching the play store.

edit2: Seems like it's only available if you bought the app.

Ok, maybe works with 4.4 on franco, but not with other kernels...

Doze motion sensor requirement?

So a lot of the day I have my 5X in my pocket, which is moving around slightly. Is there a way to force the phone to go into Doze pretty much whenever the screen has been off for more than lets say 10 minutes?
My battery life has been pretty good with Elemental X kernel, but if I could force the phone to go into Doze more often it would probably be even better.
No but it would be nice.

Assuming you are rooted, it can be done. Look for Doze or Naptime editor on PlayStore.

Unfortunately that is not correct, you can play with various doze timer values but the motion sensor will still wake up the phone if it moves.

I second that. You could even set doze aggressively at lets say 30 seconds, but it still will not doze entirely if you keep moving. No way to turn the motion sensor dependancy off yet sadly.
I hope we will see kernel hacks, xposed modules etc. to disable/tweak the motion sensor soon. The concept is so promising!
What worked for me, on stock, was -> settings -> screen -> since I am on a different language than english, its the 7 row from top, below daydream I guess. Try turning that off.

No, that's the setting that wakes up your screen when you pick up the phone.
It has nothing to do with doze. It does keep your phone awake longer though.
Hey guys, look at this http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/root-doze-settings-editor-android-t3235130 also in this thread its mentioned that aggressive doze in greenify makes doze kick in even if the device is in motion.

HELP! Massive battery drain on OnePlus 3!

Guys, my OnePlus 3 (running OxygenOS 3.2.7 no root) battery is HORRIBLE! I can only get a maximum of 3 hours SOT from 100% to ~5%!
I've tried every method i found. I don't keep location ON, set my wi-fi off during night, i only charge it until full (NOT overnight!). Wiped my cache yesterday and still NO RESULT!
You can see in the screenshots below that #1 app that eats battery is "Android System" that has CPU total 2h 13m. (today)
Please help me on what to do!!!
>i'm a new user and can't post links to screenshots
Same problem here
Android system is supposed to do that. It's quite normal it really depends on usage. What are you doing in the meantime? What is your usage pattern?

Whoa! I downloaded wakelock detector lite now and i see that i can make it work even without root. This wasn't possible an year ago when i tried :victory:
I'm gonna come back with the results! Thank you!!!
I had the same problem with my OP³ running stock OOS 3.2.7 locked bootloader and unrooted. The battery used to drain by 15-20% overnight and also got similar results while using the phone during the day.
Yesterday night i installed google now launcher. The drain came down to just 2% overnight. For the first time i could see "phone idle" in the battery stats instead of android system.
Will use the phone during the day and report back today.
I figured from wakelock detector that the oneplus launcher was keeping the system awake by creating a wakelock for its weather service in shelf even when the option was turned off. Hope this helps you too.

Yeah, i also have Oneplus launcher keeping CPU awake and last night i installed nova launcher. Now the oneplus launcher is not keeping the system awake anymore but in phone's battery stats there is still "Android System" consuming 7% (the most) with "CPU total - 1h 20m" and this process never stops!
I will keep it 1-2 more days to see if something happens and if not, i'm gonna wipe it.

You can try turning off most of the gestures just to try and isolate the problem. Also are you using any of the navigation buttons to turn off screen? Because that turns of the screen but the phone doesnt sleep properly like its locked. Try and let us know about your observation.

The problem persists even though i switched to Nova Launcher. There is still "OnePlus Launcher" in Wakeup triggers (woke up 70 times from 100% to 77%) but on the first place is "Google Play Services" with 88 times until now. Btw, "OnePlus Launcher" is #1 consumer in CPU wakelock.

Double Tap To Sleep Only Works in Lockscreen For Me

I just got my brand new HTC 10 today. Double Tap to Wake works fine, but why does DT to Sleep ONLY work on the lockscreen and not from the Home screen?
Can someone help? I already did a Gravity Test/Calibration Check btw.
Thanks!
It would not work because probably the first tap would open the app from the shortcut on your home screen if you would have any. This is why this is not working on home screen or any other screen. Just in lock screen mode.

I have Pro Nova, but still couldn't get it to work. Well, I mean I did, but the problem is, while it's "working", all the security stuff on my phone gets disabled as a result. I DO NOT have this issue with LG, Samsung, and Sony phones, only HTC. This is unacceptable. HTC should know better.
Nova Launcher does it fine, however, when unlocking, if you use fingerprint security, it forces you to use the password. This is probably an Android security issue, and not an HTC issue, since it behaves this way on all devices. I'll let someone with more knowledge on the subject explain why it is so.

Yeah but on LG, Sony, and Samsung phones, their systems DO NOT force you to put the password/PIN in again. That's why I wish HTC would take note of what those 3 are doing and implement those processes on their own phones.

Hi jimm2,
I'm actually VERY familiar with that app and had been using it for years until recently. I also have family that still use it.
I DID actually try that one out too, and it DID work...........however, the sacrifice I have to make in order for it to work is that I can no longer have the security settings of my phone enabled.......it completely bypasses them. And I am not willing to give that up, so unfortunately I can't use it.
Thank you though anyway!
I have fingerprint security to unlock the HTC 10.
Now I cannot wake the phone with double tap to wake. Is this a bug or a security issue which is normal?
thank you

At the moment that isn't a feature/option... Huawei didn't put it in the rom. Either they add it in an official update or when/if this phone gets rooted a custom rom is made with it, but even then I believe the kernel need to support it too.
