Hi,
I recently picked up an Samsung Galaxy S9 that I was attempting to flash but got in trouble with the RMM state. In which I needed to download and flash the stock Samsung ROM; unfortunately I found it very difficult to find the stock ROM with a good download speed (less than 15 hours for one image - aka SamMobile - a 3rd party site). Is it ok to post a torrent file on XDA of a particular stock images to help others who get stuck?
Thanks

Yes , it's possible with proper credits and thread presentation. And make sure the file isn't harmful for the device .
But next time don't ask questions here , ask there :

Hi all
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 (GT-I8160) PDA:LD8 PHONE:LD8 CSC:LD3 (XEO).
I rooted it some weeks ago with this method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2006183
Kies ask me to update my phone for this version : PDA:LK6 / PHONE:LK6 / CSC:LK1 (XEO)
If I update my phone, should I root again my phone ? With the same method, or an other because of the different version (was LDA8, will be a LK6) ?
Thanks for your help.
Sorry for my bad english
Unroot it first... Then root..

Alright, first of all.. please learn to search the forums. This is to avoid spam and repetition of questions. There's a Q and A thread for Ace 2, which is found here.
You might ask, "why will I post there?" Most users are subscribed to that thread, waiting to see if someone posted a new question thus, increasing the chance that your question will be seen since most users are accessing the forums from their smartphones, they tend to overlook the other parts of the forums.
If you have time, PC with Odin, and common sense then try this method. Flashing a pre-rooted stock rom (Note: This method will not increase your counter). As for the LK6 firmware, see this
For the latest firmwares (pre-rooted), see the thread here
I have a Korean version of Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T210L and lots of korean language bothers me very much....
May I flash it with firmwares for SM-T210 but avoiding bricking it?
Or maybe there are working CWM or TWRP for this device at least?
I have the same Korean SM-T210L version and tried the firmware available for SM-T210. It didn't work, it hangs upon booting, showing the Samsung brand. I'm still looking for a solution.

I second that. We could really use a working 4.2 build!
#3 and #4: Since my SM-T210L is no longer working (after installing the SM-T210 firmware), I guess it would be of little use if I upload a system dump from my device. Please advice, I am lacking of experience.

Tried to ask samsung support here in germany today for a factory image, but they dont have any... They redirected me to a company, that repairs these devices for them, so I ll contact them tomorrow.

hmmm. another dirty trick by samsung. They fail to provide stock firmware to lots of devices. If the other guy responds I could help get the tab up and running. If it's partitions as I imagine stock would just be system and boot . My Galaxy Exhibit t599 was the same way without factory images

Doesn't KIES provide an "emergency" restore? If not all the more reason for you to try and get a system dump . Maybe you know someone who has a working tab? (Korean tab models aren't very common here in Berlin... )

No, unfortunately KIES is not capable of updating the firmware. It seems the SM-T210L model is not supported, too bad. Thank you anyway for the suggestion!

New Tab update
Hi all,
My kid was given a korean SM-T210L version Galaxy Tab 3, the android version installed on the tab is 4.1.2; unfortunately it does not allow me to upgrade any further. is there a root version that will allow me to update the operating software.
I have never rooted a phone or a tab before therefore will really appreciate any assistance.
Thanks,
Zach

To restore original version 4.1.2, I used below link.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1zwvavvfWEMvzSMMc970N_uIsgrdn1bag
I tried twice with Odin 3.09, my tab was restore. For first fail, I don't know why to fail. But in second try I was working.
I wish that it will be helpful for you.
Also I am looking for upgrade version 4.2.
Solved - Rooted SM-T210L
(sorry to new to the forum to post actual links - reply if you need them)
I was able to root my SM-T210L using the same method that everyone else is posting, Odin (version 3.12.3 in my case) and using this compressed file T210.TWRP.2.8.0.0.tar.md5 You also have to copy SuperSU to your tablet (either on a SD Card or through a USB cable onto the device memory directly) search for SuperSU
Here are the instructions (most complete in my view) that seemed to be able to work for me. Go to droidviews site and search on the model to find the instructions.
Even though the image file does not have the model SM-T210L specifically, I did not have any problems with it and was able to root it successfully. I then was able to delete all of the bloatware that came with the tablet, especially all of the Korean based applications that I can't use.
Is there anyone who still have the SM-T210L firmware? Please give links for download.

Hi, welcome to Grand community
Samsung is a little different from HTC in terms of reverting back to warranty status
For a while now Samsung implemented a BIN status in it's phone which tracks if an how many times your phone has had it's download mode used to flash firmwares or recoveries. This is the primary means of checking for your warranty.
When you are unrooting, there are specific steps you will have to follow to make 100% certain that there is no trace of your phone ever being rooted.
Please check this post for step-by-step process : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46309944&postcount=31

You can download it for free from the dev's original thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114
The play store payment is a way of thanking him for this app, but the dev has been generous enough to provide a full version for free.
A detailed step by step explanation for Odin can be found here : http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...e-guide-using-odin-de-bloat-root-recover.html
It's a guide for flashing firmware in S3 but it's same process.

Please someone provide direct download link of the Stock ROM of Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos GT-I9082 with the Indian Product Code - INU along with the required/recommended version of ODIN and proper step by step guidance to flash it from Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean (Build XXUBNB2).
My device is running too slow and sometimes it's becoming crazy (like Display, looking and behaving quite oppositely. Suppose, you're looking at the reflection of your Smartphone's display in a mirror. Though, rarely it's happening, but it's happening at least!).
Please help. Thanks.

You will need 3 things. It's a bit late and I'm sorry but I'm too tired to actually link them. They should be easy to find Google you can also find links on this forum. You can also watch a video on how to administer them on YouTube.
You will need to download one application and 2 files.
First you'll need an application called Odin 3.8. I believe that's the latest one.
You will need two files: 1. Philztouch recovery in an md5 file. It is no longer being updated finding it may require a little work. I personally I like it but others prefer the alternative called TWRP, also in md5 file. You will use Odin to flash one of these two files. You only need one.
Next you will need an md5 file from Chainfire. This file will unlock the device. Once it is completely rooted you will be free to load on Android 5.1. 1 and a copy of gapps.
Here is the link to Android 5.1.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal.../sm-t31x-cyanogenmod-12-1-unofficial-t3094681
Good luck. - PC
PS I'm assuming this is your first modding a Samsung device. far as I know Odin is only used for Samsung devices. YouTube has plenty of videos on how to use it. Once you get the hang of it you can mod multiple Samsung devices with it.

Gah!! I just wrote all that out for no reason. Lol I just realized you were asking for a totally different ROM. What I link is actually cm. It is late and I need to go to bed.
Disregard the last post. I am tired.
