Same here. Got bullet wireless but it's disabled
Check guys ..
You can also plug the type c earphones then connect the bt headset now open Audio tuner. It can now be enabled ?
It's now officially available with latest update.
Yes but I didn't notice any difference myself to be honest.
It definitely improves the sound
It has indeed a difference, maybe it needed a restart.
can someone provide me the current Audio_Tuner.apk for the onePlus 6? would like these as a backup
The update brought me audio tuner with Bluetooth but today it disappeared. Disappointed. And odd it just wasn't there suddenly. Anyone else that had access lose it?
On my Sennheiser Momentum Free dont work
I'm looking into getting the bullets wireless 2. What's everybody's thoughts on those? I know it's kind of the wrong thread but you were talking about getting dirac working. When the LG HBS 900 come out I bought them for like $200 and they fell apart in 8 months then I bought the tone infiniums the retractable LG's with the Harman kardon speakers and they might as well have been
A couple of family Dollar Bluetooth speakers at the bottom of the fish tank and they didn't even last year. I bought the beats wireless powerbeats 3 and then things last for 15 hours but my toggle switch for volume pause and play took a dump so I was going to give them to my wife. I plan on sticking with OnePlus, eventually upgrading to the seven here pretty soon. battery life is very important for me sound is also very important has anybody tried them on an airplane? I've got a pair of parrot Zik 2 over ear headphones but those don't go out with me everyday. I want something that's compatible with all the audio mods on my OnePlus like and viper. Sorry for the long string but I'm new to the OnePlus game someone recommends a better pair I'm all ears!

Hey fellows,
using a Galaxy s7 edge since 1.5 years with a 3.5mm Headphonejack, I have to rethink, how to hear music on my Pixel 2 XL.
Tbh i dont like to use 3.5mm headphons with the adapter because of comfort and sound quality.
Thats why I would like to have a nice wired (Type C) or / and good bluetooth in-ear headphones.
Im looking for cheap but good sounding earphones. Any hints?
Actually i guess im going to get Meizu EP51 as bluetooth earphones for running and gym. And now im searching for great wired type c phones.
Let me know, which one you'll get.

for Bluetooth go with a good aptx or aptx-hd headphones/earphones

I'm in the same market, but am waiting to see what happens in the Google Assistant space. Googles website lists a few of the newer premium models that will support Google Assistant, but only some are in stock.
Libratone Q Adapt USB-C
Libratone Q Adapt BT (over ear)
Other models from AiAiAi and Master and Dymanic are coming soon, but most of them are over ear. There's a full list here.
I have the Rowkin's for my in ear bluetooth currently. Can't get much smaller than that.
Lastly, since you asked about in ear USB-C, you can try these out from Zorloo. I had a pair of their Micro-USB Ze:ro's and loved them.
Here is another list

Is there any options for bluetooth 5.0 headphones? Is there any benefit to having BT5.0? The range on my current BT headphones is very weak especially when in my workout carrying case.
I have the Plantronics Backbeat Fit, and I love them. They sound really good (not premium, high-end I don't think), they don't move around when I'm working out, and they are super comfortable. They have a new gen out too. I think I paid $65-70 for them open box?
I checked out reviews for all of the major headphone brands, also tried out a couple cheaper ones. Most did not fair well in reviews except this set, and the others I tried were not good.

Bluetooth 5 has a range 120 to 140 feet, as apposed to 33 feet with most 4.1 bluetooth devices. But you will need a bluetooth device that matches the bluetooth accessory to get the distance. There are also other enhancements such as multiple devices can be used at the same time. I read an articel on this a few weeks ago. I hope my memory has given you some big enhancements with bluetooth 5.

Bose sound sport wireless for the win. They are awesome sound quality. 150 bucks. In my opinion the new truly wireless 250 dollar ones aren't worth it.
I bought these when I was waiting on my Essential to come, and they actually worked really well. Wasn't sure about the whole noise cancelling thing, but since they don't need to be charged separately (the phone powers the noise cancelling), I figured I would give them a shot. Really liked them, but ended up returning the Essential in favor of the 2 XL, so now I'm just hoping they're compatible, but I'm hoping that won't be an issue...they're not the most comfortable, since they have the large rubber things so they stay in place for active folks (I'm not one of them), but I got used to them. And the noise cancelling and ambient noise feature are actually pretty useful. But they've been sitting dormant since I returned the Essential and came back to good old Shamu (If only I could find a reverse 3.5mm -> USB-C adapter hahah). The fact that I got them for like $80 (down from $200 which is just ridiculous) made it a pretty good deal in my mind. The 17th can't come soon enough!
PS I wanted earbuds and didn't want wireless, or anything that needed to be charged, but the options seem to be extremely limited at this point

Yep, I love mine. They sound REALLY good for just being little earbuds. I've had very nice over-ear headphones, currently have a pair of AiAiAi's, and the fit beats are pretty good! Jump rope is the only thing I've found that makes them budge. Floor workouts, everything else they don't move.

Another agreed, they are excellent for my HIIT cardio workouts and reasonable price!
I love my PowerBeats 2. I previously tested a bunch of different Bluetooth headphones for the gym and these are the only ones that stay in my ears consistently and have excellent sound. Battery life is around 8 hours and the Bluetooth connection distance is quite good. I can put my phone on a ledge and work my way through a ~100ft area for the weights and never lose signal.
If I decide to go with the Pixel 2 XL (still debating) I'll be getting the PowerBeats 3 for the gym and leave my PowerBeats 2 at my office desk. One area of contention with the loss of the headphone jack is that I work from home full time and have various clients calling me multiple times a day. So I usually have a set of wired headphones sitting on my desk that I can quickly plug in before answering the phone. With the 2 XL I won't have that option so I'll resort to the PowerBeats 2 to always be ready to quickly turn on and pair.
For those wondering, the PowerBeats 3 are essentially the same as the previous generation but with an even greater Bluetooth signal range and longer battery life.
I have been using the Samsung Gear Circle for years. They sounds great, stay in my ear while at the gym and the battery seems to last forever.

These headphones have lasted through 2 washes for me. They sound great if you squeeze them into your ear canal, but I can't think of a way to keepnthem in like that. Otherwise they are great because they hang on and don't fall out.

Sony 1000xm2 just got delivered today!
So, i saw lots of discussions around for a usb-c headphones that actually works with pixel 2 (mine is pixel 2xl)..
I ordered long time ago this usb-c headset from AliExpress, and forgot about it, then i received it today.. And it wooooorks.. Its actually really good (not saying high end headset good) but high volume, definitely noticeable bass, and very cheap (about 10$)..
So the secret was when i was searching for something that works with pixel 2 is to have CDLA (maybe a dax feature or a driver in it)..
Below you can see its picture and a link.. but also you can just search for usb c with CDLA on AliExpress..
The link:
Original Letv CDLA Earphone Letv 2Pro HiFi Chip Inbedded Continual Digital Lossless Audio Type-C for Xiaomi 6 Gold Galved Mic
http://s.aliexpress.com/z2aAjyMf
(from AliExpress Android)
What i don't like (but can live with it since its that cheap) is that its not in ear, its more like the shape of apple's one's.. And the mic is on the wire of the left ear (strange given that am used to the mic being on the right ear wire)
Honestly, the main reason for me to use it is that am on the phone a lot, and i want a quick plug and play mono headset, so am going to cut off one of the ears speakers (mono conversion).. And with it being that cheap, i don't mind the cutting (at least not a 50$ plus for an earset that i will end up cutting)
BAHAHA Looks like they took their iPhone headphones and put a USB C on instead of a Lightning. But having used the apple ones I might be interested in a pair since I kinda like em.

Louder than any normal 3.5 with an adapter, clear enough (but not high end clear), with a very noticeable bass (which i like, but again not high end bass)..

Hahahaha.. But mmmmm should google pay me then ?
Back at low price, I'm going to buy it!
Music worked but microphone didn't. Anyone else have a similar experience?
Yeah..mic don't work properly during a phonecall. The other party I called said that there was a loud annoying buzzing electrical noise when I use this headphone. I bought 2 pieces and both had the same issue. Disappointed
This will change my idea... Damn
wanted to buy this until i saw the price.........
Yaaaa noticed that too.. Sometimes the mic doesn't work.. Agree with most here..
Other suggestion for type c earphones working with mic?
Can't get these to work on my phone. Is there an option I haven't enabled, or is Flash Kernel interfering in someway maybe?
Can confirm they work on my computer so its not the headphones themselves
EDIT: so interestingly I flipped around the usb cord and it works haha. Weird how it works one way and not the other.
Mine arrived yesterday and the microphone works perfectly.

Hi, I thought y'all might be interested; the product is a Bluetooth HIFI Headphone amplifier. I found this after searching for a pair of Bluetooth ear buds that could hopefully come close to my wired Sony MDR-XB90EX earbuds. I haven't found a pair yet after three pairs, but discovered this little device which allows me to plug my wired headphones into and connect w/ Bluetooth. This little device supports APTxHD and uses Bluetooth 5. It is pretty impressive and is definitely the best solution I found so far. Here is the link & a pic if anybody is interested.

Did you try any of the less expensive units as found on Amazon (~$20 and up.) I'm not looking for audiophile quality but I'd like something to use with my Etymotics earphones.
Thanks!

Yes, thanks for asking, it is clearly labeled with the product I received, and by the way it's a pretty nice product, and exactly what I needed, although I haven't had the chance to try any other brands to be honest though.

Hello I have a US TA-1045 version of the Nokia 6.1 that I am returning for a replacement. The reason is that my sound will cut out every single time I am using headphones through the 3.5mm plug. The only thing I can do to remedy the problem is removing the headphones and plugging them back in and resuming playback.
Has anybody had this problem? I am really hoping my replacement does not have this same issue.
I have this same issue with my Nokia 6.1 . Let me know how it goes.
Seems the plug is fussy
Two questions:
1. Have you tried a different pair of headphones?
2. Do you have a case on the phone?
If you are using inexpensive headphones the impedance could be less than expected and might cause a problem.
Some cases may not let the headphone plug seat completely in the jack.
This happens to me with the headphones that came with the phone, my other earbuds, and another aux cable.
Haven't had issues with these in other devices

I havnt used other headphones yet. But I dont have 'any' issues when I use the same headphones on several other devices. I do use a case but its small and I dont think it impedes with plug. I can try with the case off but Im sure it wont help. The way the sound goes out is not like it goes in and out. It just cuts out completely and the music keeps playing. Not through the headphones or the speaker, just nothing.
Anyways my replacement does the exact same thing. Im looking at hopefully getting a different phone.

It's Android not the phone from my experience, get a USB C adapter. Alternatively try turning off automatic USB audio routing in developer settings. (Didn't work for me on Oreo but apparently it used to work great in Nougat)This will probably be a slow bug fix as the 3.5 mm jack is dying out. I borrowed someone's pixel 2 xl adapter and it worked great so I ordered one along those lines in standards with reviews backing it up on Amazon.

I used Pandora (paid version) regularly with my Nokia 6.1 (TA-1068), Oreo 8.1.
I have never had a problem using headphones. YMMV.
Does anyone have a link to the spotify / google play issue?

Link to what? Who knows if Nokia is even aware of the issue. It also happens with other music players unfortunately. I did see some mention of the problem on Nokia 6.1 official forums, but no mention of solutions. Still waiting to hear if a usb C adapter fixes the problem. But I doubt it as this seems to be a software issue.

Sorry for not getting back to you. I only had it for a day and lost it but I do not recommend the adapter. It would randomly have loud static that I did not have with the pixel 2 xl adapter I borrowed. However I have been using the jack and it seems to cut out less frequently now. I am probably going to just use Bluetooth from now on.

Ok thank you!
Ok I think I accidentally fixed the issue. It's caused by the setting option that allows you to raise your phone to your face and the screen comes on allowing you to see notifications. It's called "Lift to check your phone" option in settings. Turn this feature off. Haven't had the issue since.

Ok I think I accidentally fixed the issue. It's caused by the setting option that allows you to raise your phone to your face and the screen comes on allowing you to see notifications. It's called "Lift to check your phone" option in settings. Turn this feature off. Haven't had the issue since.

Thanks - I just disabled "lift to check phone" and will see if i run into this problem again. That being said, I haven't noticed this problem since the July update but that may just be a coincidence and I have used heaphones less
I already have the bullet wireless v1. But i don't no if I should update to the v2 or should i get the skullcandy indy. Qnd suggestions would be appreciated.
For $99, how good can they really be?! SkullCandy is the better choice, if you feel the need to buy new headphones. Just remember though, the device does not come with a USB-C to headphone adapter in the box, in case you are interested in using wired headphones. Personally, I still prefer to use my Sennheiser HD598C's.
I can't stand earphones that completely plug your ears. So... I use airpods with my android phone. Shhh. Don't tell anyone.
Go with bluetooth head phones
If you already have wired earphones, instead of a dongle, I highly recommend this: https://www.fiio.com/btr3
I bought a Set of Massdrop X Nuforce EDC and very happy with them, so I have pre-ordered https://drop.com/buy/drop-nuforce-move-wireless-in-ear-monitors

At what price
Can someone confirm that I can get any headphones that are USB-C?
I see headsets on Amazon listed that show specific "compatibility" requirements, so I'm wondering if this would be something I need to worry about.
Or is just any headset with USB-C ok?
Instead of wearing down the USB C port with constant connects and disconnects of a dongle, get a good bluetooth DAC and you are set. I myself use a combination of Fiio FH1 in-ear monitors and Fiio BTR3, planning to upgrade to BTR5 when it launches
Buy a pair of redmi airdots for just 20$ that's very good

If you've already got the V1 Bullets Wireless, don't bother upgrading. I lost my V1s so I bought the V2s, they sound awesome, but it doesn't matter because they keep falling out of my ears. I miss the fins on the V1s because then I didn't have to keep adjusting them and putting them back in my ears.
Are there any bluetooth earphones with low pubg audio latency?
