Does anyone know if there is a way to change the default AOD position? Maybe with some adb command or a custom app otherwise?

Wondered same thing, AOD is always in the same spot, i like it but is there going to be a burn in?
Samsungs switch the position all the time
@OkayGK
Google's AOD also changes position, but only a few pixels.

As the title says, I'm not able to turn on blue light filter from settings or quick tiles. Nothing happens when I toggle the feature.

To fix go to Settings, Accessibility, Vision, and turn off Color adjustment.

I find it useful that's it's built into the device and I use it. I had to use a program called twilight to achieve the same results on my previous note 4. I'm one of those people that blue light affects at night so it's win for me.

Is there a way to activate Google Assistant via holding the fingerprint reader?
I don't think so...but i know while the phone is off you can say "OK, Google" to launch assistant.
Long pressing the home button activates it as well...
OK Google on screen off only works if you don't have a lock screen password though (which makes sense).

I have a pattern and it works.

I'm sure this can be done over time here at XDA. I'm more interested in seeing page scrolling with fingerprint reader.

I would have assumed it would just answer your questions without unlocking the phone fully.

Some how on my pixel 2 xl, the active edge settings only has squeeze for silence. It is missing the Squeeze for assistant and allow when screen is off. I have read you have to turn this on when you are setting up the phone and must have missed it. Does anyone know where to resolve this at?

Go in Google app/Settings/Google Assistant/Settings/Phone/Squeeze for your Assistant/Active Edge Settings. Everything is in there.

Just recently got a Pixel 2 XL and neither of these features are working. I've turned them off and back on with no luck. I read a few threads that were older about proximity sensor issues. Any ideas?

You can test the proximity sensor by installing the Sensor test app and you will see, if it's working.
Another simple way to test it is that you place a call, put the phone to your ear (screen should turn off) and remove it (screen should turn on again).
I had to RMA'd it because of this issue, which btw does not happen on all devices after updating to 8.1.
With new device I never had this issue again.
I had this problem after Google's "accidental experiment/phone takeover" last week, and even after they corrected it, I had to clear 'Google Play Services' cache before it worked properly.

Is there a way to disable the sound of the notification for a screen shot? It's kind of annoying. I understand the notification in case I would like to edit, but I think the sound is unnecessary.
Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
You can find and set it under apps and notifications > show all > show system processes > System-UI > (app info >) notifications.
edit: There is no way to disable the shutter sound except to disable the notification sounds.

I toggled the check mark for screen shot and tested. No sound, just a notification. Maybe mine was just bugged and toggling fixed it? Thanks for the help though.

Who knows. The main thing is that it works as desired.
