Go to Setting, Find kernel version in About.
Tap it seven times, at which point you should see the message, "You are now a developer!" With that done, tap Settings, About Phone, Developer Options, and then tick USB debugging." Then tap OK to approve the setting change.
Now turn it ON in fastboot mode and unlock the bootloader.
Install a recovery to help you with flashing.
Flash a supporting custom ROM and gapps.
XDA Developers is a great site to help you with the process, support and Custom ROMs.

Dear everyone,
Since a couple of months I got a Sony Ericsson Jolie, it's a prototype WP7 device from Sony Ericsson.
It has a beta version of WP7, and is a bit buggy.
I can enter some menu's though, Factory Test Mode from Foxconn, a BLDR boot mode from USB (pc recognizes it as a Qualcomm CDMA Tegnologies MSM, and the WP7 recovery mode (black and white phone and pc connection image) and when I connect to my pc it recognizes it as a QSD8x50, there's an ADIAG mode UART, FTM Mode, USB KITL and SLDR mode.
Now I'm curious what can I do to work on this?
I've got programming skills in C/C++ and more languages, but I would like to know if there's someone who got some best practices and where to start from here?
I would love to make it work with a newer version of WP7
Anyone with some more information?
Regards,
Lars Stolwijk
when you can get in nand from pc side (same as on early nokia lumias ) you could dump the rom , then post it here so that the devs can look at it , maybe you could copy a new rom on phone then.

Been trying to do so, with the lumia's they had an unlocked bootloader which enabled them to see the nand as usb storage device. I assume I have a unlocked bootloader too, but in every mode connected to the pc, it asks for drivers that I don't know where to find.
But the search goes on It's such an awesome device
Hey, did you get any further on this? Have 2 Jolies here as well, which show exactly the same symptoms - they hang at the boot logo...
not that it is really interesting but it looks like this is a first gen phone (QSD8x50)
second gens are 8x30 , so it has the same hardware as all htc first gens and omnia first gens
OK - and is this good or bad?

I have a Nexus 7 , 2013 that for some reason when using the OTA updates, it stops working if rebooted (or dies from battery running out). On restart, I get the flashing orbs and it states optimizing apps and its stuck in the loop permanently.
I am able to reformat and get it working again and its fine with Android 5. Only when it updates to 6.01 does this issue begin.
As such, someone suggested I download the google factory image for 6.01 and flash it to the device, thereby bypassing OTA updates.
I found the google site with the packages but there are 9 different ones listed for the Nexus 7 2013 Wifi. It states be sure to download the correct image but how exactly do I know which one?
Thanks

Last=latest
If you want to stay stable and up to date flash lineageos.
Ok thanks, these are in some kind of order, is the top or the bottom the latest?
Ok figured it out, was able to unlock bootloader (didn't know I needed to do that first ) and load the latest factory image.
It's a very complex process for something that should be very simple. Hopefully this resolves the issue with the device or it goes into the dumpster....

OEM unlock in Dev options just allows the bootloader to be unlocked.
Now follow this

Yes, Magisk works fine on A13.
Just make sure you boot the patched boot.img file and direct install. To avoid possible issues
@Rifle003 Welcome to XDA! You can also click the yellow How To Guide quick filter located at the top of the list of threads in this section, and you'll find several helpful threads about rooting this phone - at least some of which include information about rooting Android 13 - which that itself is no different than rooting Android 12.

That actually increases your chance of issues. If it successfully boots the "fastboot boot"'d one, but messes up the "direct installed" one, then you've incremented the antirollback counter, but now will fail to boot, which could lead to a brick if you messed something up like forgot to install the bootloader to the second slot.
The best way to install is to "select and patch a file" from magisk, then "fastboot flash" it to both slots. Of course also make sure that you "fastboot flash" the bootloader to both slots as well (prior to installing A13).
