Mine won't update to that. Still says my phone is up to date.... 9.0.0.126(C00E120R1P17)
Hopefully this update fixes the launcher problem so that we don't have to try to use a work around to use another launcher.

DRM info from play store scroll down after you run it and it will say L3 or L1

Yeah. Can also confirm L1 is working as of the latest update.
I have the update and 'widevine' is now indeed L1 but Netflix is still L3. If you go into Netflix, More, App Settings, About - you will see some device info and under ESN there is a load of stuff and it contains 'L3' - am I reading this right to indicate that Netflix is still blocked from HD content?
How do I check in Netflix as to what content I am playing ?

Not alot tbh even the launcher bug will be updated but you can still change it anyway

It is L1 but Netflix is still blocked from what I can tell

Hey all,
Got my brand new Mate 20 X yesterday with an immediate update to fix Netflix (Widevine L3), after the update DRM Info showed widevine was L1, Netflix was showing in HD. But this morning when I woke up my device looked like it restarted due to another update overnight to fix the camera filters/AI issues or something. Checking Netflix now there is no longer a HD logo next to any of the HD series and Widevine has now been reverted back to L3. Can anyone help me with this please! My model is the L29 6/128GB purchased from WondaMobile

Right after that. Try to change the phone location, maybe the update is not yet in your country.

Only at the start where you set your language and location. I don't see it in the settings.

Sounds like what I had.
Search on Netflix for "Test Patterns", pick any episode, pinch the screen so it shows ALL of the picture and at the top right you'll see the real resolution.
When I had the problem it was something like 950 x 540.
The fix for me was quite straight forward, just clear cache and data, run Netflix, sign in again and it was fine.

Never had any issues since the day i got it .i just uninstall any bloatware ..its 99% English if you know how to disable stuff ..

Got this too on my AL00. Was interested in the 'Instant Projection' feature but can't see any settings or other options regarding this. Phone still has 'Easy Projection' but I was expecting to see something new.
Does your phone show anything new on this? Have you used this feature yourself?

Not really used it but if you go setting and start typing easy projection you can set it to wireless

Does the UI still limit the amount of apps you can autostart? And you probably still have to log in to a vivo account to change launcher too?

i've logged-in to Vivo Account but for curiosity and not for other things. Still don't tried to change launcher because the stock here is pretty perfect and customizable .
I can receive notifications from all apps here and never had locked them in multitasking. Only need to grant all authorizations under settings

That's good to know about notifications, I just hate not having a app drawer lol
Thing that i don't like is that Google Pay it seems to not be supported.
I have an error when i try to finalize the registration. So no contactless options out there.
Maybe depends from Google License missed here ?

You can easily do this by uninstalling system apps as XDA guide provided.

Ive never bought anything from Giztop before. Do you recommend? Also, do they open up the phones to inspect them? I know you said it was the Chinese version and it didnt come with playstore, so I assume it was preopened. I prefer that my phones arent opened by someone else.

I just got this phone today and found out that it could not play anything in Netflix in HD. In "test patterns", it only maxes out at 540p with a really low bit rate.
I have done numurous research on different versions of Netflix, but none really worked, not even the modded ones for the Poco phone F1 originally.
The Redmi note 8 pro has widevine L1 and is supposed to play Netflix in HD with no problem, but it couldn't. Anyone has a solution to this problem? And would this problem be solved? I really don't want to wait like how the Poco phone users waited 4 months for that widevine update.

why i can't stream hd content on my Redmi note 8 pro on netflix and amazon prime as well as on hotstar.... And why it is showing widewine l1 support in drm info if it can't play hd content..... It is a software issue. Xiaomi said it would get fixed when the device receives Android 10 update.
It should be available with Android 10 update whenever time comes. Mind you, this doesn't mean Netflix HD will magically become available, but it's a start.
