ive got my Mate 20X AL00 and i would like to use HiBoard but i shows only Chinese News.
Is it possible to show News from Germany?
Could someone uploaded from L29 the HiBoard Apk?
I disable it so i don't know, but here is the HiBoard apk from EVR-L29. You can try it yourself.

I disabled Hiboard made my default screen my second screen and put Google news and Google's search widget on my first screen similar to the Pixel's or OnePlus launchers. You could try something similar to this since Hiboard might pull their news from Chinese websites.

I did basically the same thing ??
That apk comes back failed due to certificates. How did you extract that apk? Did you use HiSuite to export the apk?

I tried to use this, but for some odd reason as soon as I turn debug on it crashes.

As I have the app open, connect the phone, tick usb debugging on the phone, 5 seconds later the app crashes with an exception error.

Windows 10. I'll try it again, but the only thing is when I ran it the first time it said there was an update and downloaded it, Is yours with the update or the original.

Already installed, used that to uninstall the 3rd party apps and sync contacts from outlook.
Any other ideas?

Well it doesnt crash anymore, but it doesnt pick it up when I hit check device, and when I hit uninstall it tells me the phone isnt in adb mode, which I presume adb bugging which it is, so I give up, I uninstalled all the Chinese apps using adb shell so if thats all this does, I already removed everything Chinese off the phone.
Plss can you put a new link with hiboard apk?

Hi guys, i tried some apps like Parallel space and others, but usually they make a copy of app, but not work properlly. Any tips to make it work?
I'm trying to make dual apps from my games, like pokemon go and Clash, but none of them was able to work like should it be. In my Mi8 it was easy to do it. .

When i try to use it, they ask me to create another profile, and after create, the app close.
Do you have some tutorial to follow? I tried one in youtube, but i got not so far.

You dont need to.
You just need for uab debug to be on and then go to modification in huawei multi tool.

I'm on 195 on both my devices and i can remove launcher by ADB... Have you tried to factory reset ? Your best bet will be Root if you have your Bootloader Unlocked... Get the System App Remover and debloat everything on your device... I always use this app to remove junk...

Well well, something strange has happend to me as well. Both of my Mate 20 X units were running 195, i was able to remove the stock launcher without any problems on both of them.. however, i might have remove some system apps because i screw one of my devices and i had to Factory Reset it to get it working again.
After i have Factory Reset it and tried to remove again the Stock launcher : FAILURE ... just like you said...
Is it strange right ? I was able to remove it first time, now ERROR... (( Dangg, i spend so much money on these ,, piece of ..sh..t '' devices and i'm not able to Get a Bootloader Unlocked Code, not able to Root, not even to remove the stock launcher... Dang Huawei... I'm gonna have to sell these and stick to Xiaomi or Samsung...
PS : HUAWEI, is this some kind of a joke ?! I am so disappointing about this... If i would have known, i would't throw my money on you... Learn from Samsung and Xiaomi...

I found app calls
Full screen gestures form app store
I can use swipe up from bottom to other launcher option
Not force me to back to the ugly stock one

Gave it all permissions
Go to swipe from the bottom option
Then choose center swipe
Choose the launcher you wanna use from app shortcut
Now when you swipe back to home it will directly go to the launcher home not the stock one
It's happened to me after small update for the AI, look like they block launcher disabled or uninstall, now I'm stuck with the most stupid launcher forever I hope someone find another way to disable it again.

my Mate 20x came up that there was an update to EMUI 10 so I updated, all went well from what I saw, except now I cant install apks from dropbox, it comes up saying: "please download an app that can open this file". I cant download files from the play store and install, and I have made sure that install from unknown sources was enabled. I also made sure "files" app was set to allowed also. The update version is: 10.0.0.176, and no newer version is coming up. This is the Chinese version AL-00
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Update, seems the only way I can install apps is by using HiSuite at the moment.

I'm using Chinese version and have no single problems with apks. You should try to reset factory your phone and try again

hm, interesting. have u tried downloading the apk files from dropbox to your local storage first, then try and open them with the huawei files app? for me that is the only app that is able to install other apps, es file explorer pro is not able to do so.
btw, new update got pushed for AL00, going from 176 to 185 havent installed it yet though.

No I cant do anything with Dropbox, but I was able to use HiSuite to install apks. And i just got the update you were talking about, installing it now, maybe this will fix the issue with the apks installing from dropbox, cause as the prior user said, I dont want to factory reset and have to put everything back if its not going to work. There is another issue I noticed with the update also, If I go out of Wifi range I lose access to the internet, in other words the cell data doesnt kick in unless I turn off the mobile data and then turn it back on. So far very annoying update. Maybe this 185 can fix these. Here's hoping and trying.

Well the update didnt fix the dropbox issue, tapping on the file prompts the error. so the update didnt fix the problem. I guess when it gets to be a pain either I fix it, install through HiSuite, or factory reset.

thats what u was trying to tell you from the start! use the files app!
im guessing it has to do with system rights to install apk files. even es file explorer pro is not allowed to do it with all permissions given.

Hi guys,
I'm getting a problem related to the chinese variant.
-Google assistant won't stay the default assist app.
-Access with voice match is greyed out.
-when i make google the default assist app, google is greyed out as seen in the third screenshot.
-weirdly enough i don't have default assist app anywhere in settings, I can only access it from google (first screeshot)
I already have disabled breeno stuff and some chinese stuff except breeno space.
I tried some solutions online from deleting cache to re-installing google, but the issue is rom related.
What i haven't tried is unlocking bootloader and rooting then making the assistant a system app. So what I'm trying to say is did anyone have it working like a charm, and how??

I had Inshot app in my s20+ for 1+ years. Yesterday I have uninstalled to update to new version (mod apk). After uninstalling , I cant install new version as it says signature doesnt match with existing application.
This is really frucked up situation as the same happened to zedge and vanced youtube with me. But these 2 apps was gone when I upgraded the firmware to Android 11 3.1 one UI.
Any help guys???

I have exactly the same problem with inshot. I uninstalled it to update a new version, but after install a new version, it says "signature doesnt match with existing application."
What do you mean with adb? Is it an uninstaller, like "Revo Uninstaller" software?
Please can anybody help me?
My problem is solved. I have a better solution then the ADB:
Go to: internal sdcard > android > data > then find the package: com.camerasideas.instashot and just delete this package. After that, you must restart your Smartphone and then you can install the new version of Inshot.
one thing I would like to say here is that whenever you want to install any update of an application you should simply goto the update panel in playstore and simply update from there. You don't need to install the app first and then reinstall to get its updated version. I hope you would get it.
Having this problem myself now. Phone does not have the com.camerasideas.instashot folder. Can't install any version of the app
Did anyone find the fix. I deleted the folder with com.camerasidea... but it didn't help. Please let me know if anyone solved the issue.

Can anyone help to to delete that file when I uninstalled the app it gave me the option to keep the file I clicked on it and now I can not install the app anymore. Does anyone to know to delete that folder or file manually.
