Hi Capu81 !
I own a Peugeot 308 (2009) too, and I bought the Belsee BP3 one.
I clearly do not advise you to buy this unit as it has several issues :
- the fascia doesn't match the 308 color and round radius. The grey color is a bit darker and flatter than the original as you can see on the picture :
- the CANBUS adapter that Belsee provide is a bit messy. It seems to be made for the Peugeot 2008 and doesn't fit 100% (the trip and service km counters have issues). It is also not pre configured to fit the 308, you will have to play in the advanced settings to find the CANBUS profile that suits your car.
- the unit is delivered without external buzzer wich means that your rear parking sensors won't beep anymore
I don't know the other devices you mention.
Please let us know wich one you've chosen and how the installation is going.
I will be pleased to share my experience with yours and know what CANBUS settings fit your 308 the best.
Bye
Damien

Hi Capu81,
You can view my model in youtube clip.
I recommend buying the unit with the volume button at the bottom, it fits much better than my model. My unit works very well, bluetooth ok, Radio ok, gps great (Waze, Maps, Here Maps)

I'll buy this

It looks really cool.
Please let us know when you receive and install it

Audi A3 - Dynavin WIN-CE vs Android ? Feedback wanted

Hi guys,
right now i am using a dynavin d99 which works ok.
seeing all these great android head units i am actually thinking about selling my dynavin and buying one of these.
I have 3 head units i am interested in:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/XTRONS-Autor...465112?hash=item2a605f0018:g:LgYAAOSw--1WqcHn
http://www.ebay.de/itm/2015-Neu-And...578113?hash=item4885ed7941:g:cS0AAOSwLzdWRDB8
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7-Android...del:A3&hash=item4af03f2cc2:g:fz0AAOSwf-VWapiR
the last one has a resolution of 1024x600 the other ones 800x480.
should i take the high resolution one or due to speed issues the low one?
Do the Android head units work without issues? Will they still be good use in 2-3 years or do i have to upgrade (because of newer android versions coming out every year)?
Can I somehow save the radio station names? I don't like to have the frequencies there I don't want to learn the frequencies
I read about a mic mod - will plugging an external mic be sufficient or do i have to do this mod? (looks a bit dangerous)
Do steering wheel buttons work?
Do they have DSP Chips?
which one of these 3 should I buy? the first two i guess are hui fei the last one i don't know but it also looks like hui fei
thanks for your help in advance

Same here. I have to unlearn decades of everything I thought I knew about car stereo HU's.
I've read through many forum threads and I'm confused on which one to buy. Lol.
can you guys please help me
Rule of thumb would be best CPU, most RAM, most storage space that is in your budget. Most units are just rebadged so there is very little difference between badge a or b.
here's a place to start:

Dasaita units have good eom support.
The hot new feature everyone is going to want in Android Auto is the new "wireless Android Auto" feature, so i would recommend getting a head unit that has the new wireless AA built in already. Even if your phone is not currently supported for wireless AA, your next phone might be and you will be glad you got a head unit with that feature in it.
I just got the JVC KW-M845BT unit myself and i am pysched to get wireless AA working at some point in the near future.
thanks a lot guys

You can have AA wireless right now on pretty much any Android HU:

Even on OEM HUs with no WiFi support:

Will a Chinese Android Head Unit ever work as expected...?

Hi everyone,
In 2017 I bought a Witson Android 6 quad-core PX3 unit from an European reseller. I was quite happy with the unit but after about one year it suddenly stopped at bootlogo. After several months of receiving nonworking advices on how to install new firmware I requested to get a new unit under warranty. Thereafter the whole discussion started to get ugly so I had to contact Witson directly in order to get the thing settled. Witson was kind enough to send a new unit.
The new unit is an Android 8 octa-core PX5 unit so I assumed it would have better performance than the old unit. After using it now for several months now I must say that it is worse than the old one,
- when installing additional software I could not get a stable connection to my wifi router 5m away, the wifi range is so poor that the only way to use it was to have my mobile phone as a hot-spot on the dashboard
- the radio reception is poor, only very strong stations work, all others suffer from frequent drop-outs
- the GPS is loosing the connection all the time and the navigation often goes completely nuts
The unit display info is,
Model px5(1024x600)
Android Version 8.0.0
Kernel version 4.4.93+ [email protected] #46
Build number px5-userdebug 8.0.0 OPR5.170623.007 eng.hct.20190219.093540 test-keys
MCU version MTCE_MX2_V3.13_1
CPU 8 core 64-bit CPU Cortex-A53 @ 1.5G
Memory 3891 MB
And here is finally my question - from your experience/knowledge - are all the problems hardware related or can any of them be corrected by upgrading the firmware/software?
I have now got so frustrated and used so much time with these cheap Chinese Head Units that if no-one comes up with any positive information about what could be done I will rip the unit out of the dashboard and replace it wit a branded Alpine/Sony/Pioneer/Kenwood unit.
Thank you in advance for any comments.
Go for the branded head unit.
Weak wifi is not uncommon. Read the forum. Did you try an external antenna?
Bad radio reception. Does your car have a powered antenna and if so, did you apply power?
You may want to try 3rd party fimware, e.g. Malaysk. They tend to be more stable.
I have had a GS unit, sold by XTrons, for more than2 years without.significant prpblems. Using Malayak firmware.

Thank you for your reply.
No I do not have an external antenna because there is no connector for it so I would have to open the unit and assemble one. I did not want to do that when I received the replacement unit in case the unit would have been faulty at arrival. Now I suppose I have to look for info about the issue.
Yes the antenna is powered and the power is connected. I missed the antenna power connection when I installed the first unit and had to remove it and connect the antenna power so I know for sure that it is connected now.
Does the Malaysk or Hal9k firmwares have modifications that make the units work technically better or are the modifications only in the user interface? Anyone have information on this?

Buying advice/review site?

Hey folks,
I'm planning to replace my headunit - currently using a Pumpkin headunit (MTCE, KLD, 4GB RAM, octacore, Hal9k mod).
Before flipping through thousands of threads in the forum (as the search won't work for me too look for any existing threads, always something about "security error occured") I'd like to know if there are any good sites where current models are being evaluated/compared?
I don't give much care fore OEM function support (my car doesn't even have CAN-/LIN-Bus) however I'd like a headunit with "good" sound quality and the "standard" stuff (GPS, WiFi or built-in 4G module, bluetooth/hands free, steering wheel button support) and maybe a volume knob instead of 2 buttons.
Oh - definetly looking for universal 2din unit without an oversized screen or stuff as I like to keep it rather flush form-wise. (see pic)
As far as I understand the newer headunits with a PX6 board are superior to the px5 ones, despite having a hexacore only?
Anything else I should watch out for? Any "bad" manufactureres? Anything that stands out?
Best regards and thanks in advance!

Mini Cooper F56 with NBT Evo nav - what Android solutions available?

Looking to upgrade my 8.8 non-touch NBT Evo ID4 unit. With recent BMW units, it's been possible to replace just the screen, leaving the OEM functionality intact (so just click the BMW button on the Android navi to switch to the OEM interface).
Does anyone know if any of the Mini F56 units on the market do the same? None of the vendors explicitly mention it so I'm a little confused whether that is the case or not.
What are some trusted brands? I had good experience with Ownice, Mekede and Joying, but neither seems to make units for the F56.
Thanks!
