[Q] Resume playback while multi-tasking?

Hello,
I am wondering if someone can please tell me how I can make it so that playback continues when I task to a different app/program? Both for youtube app and internet explorer.
I like to listen to music through youtube. If I need to write a text or do any other task, I don't like how it stops the playback.
Same thing with stock internet browser. I like to stream live sports, stream music, etc. Is there anyway to have playback continue while using a differnt program, such as sms or Gmail?

Music control from watch

Hi guys..
I'm looking for a way to control my music player.
Specifically the ability to fast forward/rewind within a song track... (or even better if it can do track-bar scrubbing) from my watch.
I've been searching around for apps and i couldn't find any with such functionality so far.. Anyone here have any ideas? maybe some tasker gurus...?

Yup. I know there are quite a number of wear apps that support skipping tracks and adjusting volume..
I'm looking for a way to "rewind" or "fast forward" to a specific part of a song..
Any ideas?

I tried boss.. Apparently the fast forwarding function works only with very specific apps like audio books.. It doesn't work with normal music players.. I even emailed them and asked about it, no luck...

Is there any app other than google play music that can play songs stored in the watch?

As far as I know, the only other player that can do that is the Xperia Music app.

If you use poweramp you could try poweramp remote 4 android wear. It let you browse your artists, albums and songs on your watch and than play them on your phone

We don't need it..
Actually i am experiencing it in lumia 535 i.e it is working in background and i think it is a bug and it is a great idea...
In android there are many apps like km player and vlc but there is no app in windows store to this specific thing..
It will be a great feature as someone don't have to convert it into mp3 and then listen video songs..
Looking forward for a solution or a suggestion..

if you want playing on background you can use some third party apps.
For example ProPlayer for Video was my app that supports video background playback , unfortunately my HDD ran into a problem and my projects fully gone and I lost my source code so no longer weren't able to upgrade it .
I think NTPlayer supports background video too .

Modded YouTube application

I would appreciate if someone knows a modified YouTube application. The features I'm looking for are;
- Playback in background.
- All ads are blocked.
- (Being able to download videos is a bonus).
EDIT: Have find one!

I would simply like to know a way to get the videos to play automatically at 1080p.
Right now, they start playing at 480p..

I'm using IYTB youtube... Playback in background and all ads are blocked...

well you choose your playlist and music. you can create your own playlist. you have access to remixes and 1h+ other people playlist. you can download the mp3.
i mean its a mp3 online player with youtube library.

I'm assuming you're avoiding YouTube Red? Now that i have it, I'll never be able to go back. $10 a month for all the features you're looking for in the OP while also supporting my favorite content creators? Yes please.
I understand not wanting to pay for yet another subscription.

Because maybe some People dont wana pay 10 $ a month for "just some additional" Features and most of the Money gets to YouTube more then the Content creators.
Also YouTube red is still not available everywhere, and last but not least, some like the normal app but only Need Background playing, Screen of playing and no ads.

I completely understand. It's ridiculous how features that should be in the base app (background play, and other) are hidden behind a pay wall. I was just making sure.

for everyone not using Magisk there is an app called OGYouTube. It has all the features mentioned I this thread and works really well, the only downside is that the dev no longer supports it so it won't get any future updates. Current base is 12.10.60

does anyone know how to make Viper4droid work with iYTBP ?
viper work well with Ymusic and poweramp, but nothing in iytbp.

I used to be subscribe for YouTube music but I no longer do and miss being able to street music while screen is off. Etc. Is there any third party apps that does this free?.

I am using that Currently. Was looking more for a dedicated music app. Is there a YouTube music version similar to YouTube vance

Google music for me

iHeartRadio works for me :good:

I personally use Spotify since it is available on more devices, like my gear s3 frontier, or my echo devices

Play music, YouTube music, and Spotify for me. I don't think there is an app that plays mucic (without advertisment) with the screen off for free.

Spotify premium for me, and then I also download some music separate from Spotify as well

Google Play Music still with the original $7.99 intro price. Have all my old music uploaded to it and enjoy commercial free YouTube Red. I watch more YouTube than regular shows if anything.

Look for Ymusic-Youtube in XDA Labs... No need to root....

Google play music. I love the playlists that are based upon time mood and location

I love Spotify

I switched from Spotify to Google Play Music for a few months but ended up going back to Spotify just recently because they do a much better job creating and updating curated playlists and stations.
I prefer the Google Play Music UI but Spotify wins out in every other category.
