Just get Vanced YouTube
Even Vanced YouTube does not work on PIP. For sure it's because I have the Chinese Version.

YouTube PIP only works for US users.
You can get it at work via Browser, otherwise with the RED subscription of Youtube otherwise... via Vanced.
I have the Chinese version and it works for me but it's kinda hit or miss sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The sound still plays but there's no picture so sometimes I use it split screen

Yup works great on original Youtube app, but not on Netflix. Don't know why, i try the custom apk later.
My Chinese Honor Note 10 is also DRM L1, but HDR and HD only worked with Vanced YouTube and custom Netflix apk.
HDR is not suported yet on original app. So that's why it doesn't work.

YouTube PIP has to do with gestures.
If you have system wide gestures enabled, it will not work. You'll need the navigation bar for PIP.

Not required.
As a work around, swipe down and choose Settings from the system drawer. PiP will work. Go back and navigate wherever you want.

Or, get rid of the garbage stock launcher, use Nova and Fluid Gestures and never have another issue again. :good:

I'm aware of that. I did that on my Moto G, but I want my phone's DPI to be 400 only. So is there any fix for MX Player ?
Because for rooting, there will be a lot of work unlocking bootloader which will wipe the whole data and then to install the apps back.
I wouldn't prefer rooting just for MX Player.

Yes, that's not the only app with this issue. Try cropping images before sending in whatsapp.
On my end I've simply learned to ignore this as it has no effect on the actual playback.

thats why u do it when u get the phone, rooting and unlocking bootloader does not void the warranty, now u r pretty much SOL, that is one the benefits of rooting, u won't be stuck when u r wanting to fix stuff. In other words, no there is prob not a fix for a non rooted user

Double tap to wake has never been on this phone, nougat or oreo, unless you run androplus kernel.
That's because it is a kernel feature rather than an OS one.
Screen video capture, not sure, never seen nor used it, but there's apps for that.

Sony used to have a built-in screen capture app but they got rid of it for some reason. Im super annoyed that theres no double tap to wake though. Thats like a step down from my Z2.

I thought id take a look through this app called privset and I noticed theres a set double tap to wake option. I wonder if it works because its current value is false. The app does require root but I know that some root apps can be used with write secure settings granted through adb on non root devices. I wonder if this could work.

So, on my jailbroken iPhone XS I have a genious tweak that I can click on when I take a screenshot, where it converts the text on the screenshot-text into actual text you can copy.
Anything that does this seamlessly on Android? (Running Galaxy S20 if it matters)

The issue with "regular" apps is that I need to do a screenshot, then open the app, find the SS and then convert to text.
Is there no way of implementing such a thing into the OneUI for example?
So another icon will pop up when I do the SS-shortcut?
Or even making a new shortcut that would "automate" this?

You'd have to ask Samsung about OneUI implementing
The way I do it is just hit the "Share" icon after taking a SS, and share it to the editing app I want to open, pretty much feels like it is part of the SS app that way

This is most likely the best way to do it by far!
Not used to Samsung, so the "share" button wasnt as obvious to me as it should be - but this works very well with Google Lens.

Yea the share feature is very handy for a lot of things, for example you can set up a shared folder on your PC, install Total Commander and the LAN plugin, connect it to the shared folder, then you can use the Share feature to copy files to the PC from the phone via WiFi, select the file > share > total commander > find the PC shared folder > done

Anyone else missing the ecg app, in the UK and its not on my phone and i cant find it on the play store to install?

I think it's part of the Fitbit app. But as Orion stated, it might just need an update (or be installed).
I'm looking for an alternative to Fitbit, though. Google Fit wasn't preinstalled, which I find weird considering this is GOOGLE hardware, but it does a lot of what Fitbit and it's free. It does not have an ECG function, though. Or a blood pressure one, either. Though that should be possible to do, right?

I'm in the same boat. I'm in Japan and ecg isn't supported here. Anyone know a workaround?

Tried cleaning the cache on mobile and watch, but it did not work. It looks like I'm in the not supported ECG countries.
There must be some other way how to manipulate the device so you can complete ECG app setup, but I'm not aware as of now.

I downloaded the free VPN app Octahide, selected a US provider, switched to English settings out of Japanese and changed my location in Fitbit to the US. Restarted the watch and it worked! I am surprised it was that easy.
I should add that I already had the app on the watch and it was visible. Vpn worked as a charm. It also continues to work even though I turned off the VPN. Thanks a million

I created a Magisk module to enables Google Location history and Nearby share on the Chinese version of ColorOS.
This also enables "游戏插帧" MEMC frame insertion (120fps) on global version of Genshin Impact and YouTube (add them as a game in Game center app).
To enable MEMC, you have to enable "游戏插帧" in game menu.
Download magisk-module-oplus-cn2global.zip, install this module from the Modules tab of the Magisk app and restart.

Not a native 120FPS but MEMC 120fps (insert simulated frame to 60fps so 60fps x 2 = 120fps).
You can feel that it's moving lukewarmly when there is scrolling or pan/tilt movement.

V07 worked although OxygenOS's game center doesn't have ulta resolution or ultra frames
