While I am waiting for my Galaxy, has anybody tried the older Wearable Widgets app for S3 on the Galaxy, and its phone companion app? Not sure why Samsung refused further store entries and hence development of this at first sight genius concept...bluetooth streaming regular Android widgets to the app face. Would open a huge number of widgets for apps not yet (or never) supported. http://wearablewidgets.com/gear/
Good news from a German forum, WearableWidgets running if fresh installation, not taken over from a S3 install. Letting you see for example the status of your smartphone battery.

Today I was surprised to find a pretty cool addition to the store in the form of Facebook For Samsung or Facebook S! Apparently Samsung's isn't too happy with the current iteration of 'Facebook for Android' and decided to offer something better for its users. I found the app on the Galaxy S and am not sure if Samsung's other Android devices have also been blessed with this update.
I already have Facebook for Android installed and did not have to sign into the Facebook S! app after I downloaded and installed it. The major draw of the application is Samsung's location integration which lets you tag your status with your location either using GPS or by picking a location on a map.
A bunch of screenshots and a run down of the other features is here.

Hey guys..the Samsung Apps just got itself an update.
new categorized apps and search option available.but still limited apps on the list.
New app is a viewfinder application that lets you control your samsung camera(SH100) by wifi. even stated that nearly all samsung camera will be equiped with this control tech as from 2011.
Great, i'll go to see that.
Excellent update, but where are photo editor ? video editor ? asphlat ... and more other ...
Apps keeps on appearing and disappearing.
sometimes i have asphalt, sometimes no.
weird.
Have a look on the updates, i am not sure why but there i found the video editor and many others again. The word updates is a little misleading there ...
Update is for the new interface of the samsung app.
I bet some paying apps will be introduce as in the apps list, its written free for free apps.

Is this a comment to my previous post? If yes, i didnt mean the update of the "Samsung Apps" app itself. In the recommended section, at the new apps it says at the beginning of the list "xx Updates available", there i found a lot of apps like the videoeditor again, which are not visible for example in the category view ... ?

sorry. My misconception.
I have tested the app with nexus 4 device and it is working fine. Wanted to test in other devices but don't have budget and resources for the same. So here i am asking XDA fourm members to test and give you valuble inputs.
Few words on new app
True launcher - A new intelligent way of grouping installed app
Google play link:
I can't post link because of forum rules.
Search for True launcher in the play
Synopsis:
Once we install apps from the Play Store, it takes way too long to find them, and once we're done, it can be bothersome trying to remember which app we installed before that one. After a couple of months, that clean app drawer can grow to become six, seven, and even eight pages long.
This is where True launcher comes in handy to users.
True launcher has a special tab called “My Play” where user can find all the applications downloaded from the play store also it automatically organise your applications based on Google play categories.
True launcher is faster, smoother and customisable home replacement application.

Any one got a chance to test or found any issues??
Hello guys!
So I've just got my tab pro 8.4 wifi. Being a previous owner of Nexus devices, the first thing that I'm about to do is delete all the Samsung crap (I do, however, want to keep the rom as it is - rooted with towelroot, KNOX still intact).
However, after searching/reading through this forum, I was unable to find a list of all the apps that can be safely (no reboots, FCs, other issues) deleted or uninstalled (using Titanium Backup). Please share your experience, suggestions, I will try to keep the list updated!

21. GALAXY Apps
22. Samsung Account
23. Samsung Billing
24. Samsung In-App Purchases
25. ANT HAL Service

Thanks for the list helped me greatly , I am now rooted and uninstalled most of the 42 apps in the list , fantastic device ...in addition I uninstaled all apps and services that had the word Knox in them
Sent from my SM-T320 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Great list, thanks a lot! Just rooted my TabPro 8.4 just to remove all the bloat ware. Its plain out ridiculous that Samsung puts so much crap on their devices.
Apologize for the thread drift, but why does not tripping the knox/staying stock matter to you folks?
After already having gone through the process of rooting, it's hardly any additional effort to install CM 11, for example, and that takes care of most of this garbage for you.
Because I like to keep my warranty for a while. I was denied warranty on my S4 because of Knox.
Hi. Just got my tab pro 8.4 and while I don't plan to root just yet I would like to disable a bunch of this crap that keeps trying to update and turns on with the Tablet. Was just wondering if you could put a brief explanation next to some of those so I know whether or not it's one I don't plan to use. Thanks. Things like the ant stuff, sidesync, smart card, and Samsung ones. What about ones not listed here like the flipboard and magazine widgets and such. Also, some things have the turn off button grayed out, does that mean I can't disable it until I root? Thx
Hi, I just ordered A10.1 (2019).
I was wondering if I can ADB and delete those listed bloatware?
Also, does this model still get updates for its system?
If yes, until when does it get updaets?
Can you receive updates when bootloader is unlocked or when it's rooted?
Thanks
Didn't notice this is such an old thread.. now I wonder if the list of bloatware is outdated!?
I can not wait for a working Philips Hue app. I am checking the Gear store every few days. A few have been added since but there are either issues with it working on and off or the Widget not working. I need the widget!
Also, a Samsung Multiroom speaker update for Tizen 4! I searched this up before getting the Galaxy Watch and it looks like there is one for Tizen 3 but nothing for Tizen 4 yet.... Boo
What are you waiting for?
Yeah, it's frustrating to see so many apps available for WearOS that are not available on Tizen. I have the LTE enabled Galaxy Watch and would love to be able to leave my phone behind at home sometimes and still have access to the functionality of my favorite apps. Hoping these app developers start getting us some content on Tizen! Here's my wish list: Alert360, Amazon Music, Uber, Lyft, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Skype, Skype for Business, Google Maps.

I thought I knew what I was getting in to when I bought the watch but with many devs not updating their apps, the app list for the Galaxy watch is less than the already sparse Gear S3!
The Spotify app is pretty good so my local music needs are fulfilled but apps like Skype, SfB and Uber would be an excellent addition to the watch.
WhatsApp, I can do with the replying to notifcations. I don't need to look through previous convos.
Google Maps, I paid £1 for a companion app. Works really well for turn by turn navigation. It dosn't give you the birds eye view but it guides very very well and hasn't failed me yet. Start a journey on Google Maps (On your phone) and it will auto start the compantion app on the watch. Its called "Gear Navigation". Free app for watch but paid app app on Google Play.
Having Uber on my wrist.. Might make it too easy!
I think there is an Uber app for Tizen now
Having just transferred from gear s3 to Galaxy watch, ALL my apps (and they are a lot) that were bought for the gear (tizen3) now work for Galaxy watch (tizen4). There is a Phillips hue app in the store and an Uber app too also for Galaxy watch. You may need to change your country store to USA to see them all (there is a topic for this under the gear forum). The Uber app only though works only with a Samsung phone.
I would like to get a podcast app.
Spotify don't have podcasts on the watch app.. Why, just why?..
Audible would be another app, then I can leave my phone @ home.
I believe Tizen has a bigger market share than WearOS now, surely developers will notice?
I talked with customer service at Audible.
They have an app for the apple watch.
I sugested that they make an app for the Galaxy watch too.
They thanked me and forwarded the request.
If there are more Audible customers here, it will probably help if you did the same.
Chat with them here: https://www.audible.com/contactus?n1=something_else&n2=other
Is there any application that I can use for remotely turn on or off Wi-Fi, flash light, sound... On my Samsung device from my Galaxy watch? I think there was some application on Gear S3 but I cannot remember how it calls....

That's the one I looking for. Thanks ?
Personally, I just want an app that stores notification history so that I can access old messages. There is 1 old app called NWS that does this but it drains the watch battery like MAD (5% per hour just from this app).
I am getting so frustrated by the lack of this simple feature that I will either make the app myself or return the watch.

I can't seem to find how to change my store country to US. Can you give me a link or tell me how I can do it? There are two apps which I want from the US country store: Spotify and Twitter Trends.

Hi, please see below, this is one of the several threads on the subject, basically you need a vpn app on your phone to produce a US IP address and the Sim card removed:

Thanks. I've tried it as you said without the sim card and it worked flawlessly. All that's left now is to find more apps to download
