Is there anyway I can do this without root? I changed my DPI and gboard is too small I can't get used to any other keyboard and I want to hold off on root for now.

Is there an adb cmd that can allow me to get to the file to edit it or something?

Hello
It is possible to uninstall apk such as Friend Stream and consoles like the adb. We know that if we have permission to interact with the system it would be nice as could be to remove unnecessary applications even on phones with s-on. He asked me a little guide on how to do it.
Can you explain that little further?
I would like to remove the garbage from the system that buried me but HTC does not want to do s-off. apk not I use such as Facebook Friend Stream. I know that the adb console allows you to interact with the system like I had a root. The question of what commands to get the sytem to remove unwanted apps to me.
Use temp root method, and then remove them.
They will come back after a reboot though.
That would return after a reboot I do not mind I'd removed them again.
Could you describe exactly how to do it, give the command.
Someone explain how the apk with adb to remove the system
Hello,
There is only one thing I want root for - to enable the modification suggested here http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/help/miracast-t3232833 to enable miracast.
Is there a way to obtain root without any custom recovery or flashing anything? Like in some way use adb to simply modify the build.prop file on the device?
Thank you for your thoughts.

You're on the right track!
You absolutely can edit the build.prop by using ADB. Just google how and you do not need root in order to edit build.prop. I've done it with my work phone to change the density.
Hi There. Thanks for replying. I see that the concept is pretty simple -- use adb to pull the build.prop file, edit it, and then use adb to push the build.prop file back.
This page has an example: https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-edit-the-build-prop-file-in-Android-without-Rooting-it
What I can't figure out is how to actually push the file back without rooting. I think I have to mount the system partition in read/write. To do that I think I need root. I try running adb as root, to then mount the partition, but I get "adbd cannot run as root in production builds." Any suggestions on how to get around that?
Hi,
Is there a ADB command line that would revert the recent menu in a card style menu? Instead of the limited 8 apps only?
I tried looking for it but i might not be searching correctly. I have change this in the past (I think) but i can't remember if it was a custom ROM feature or a ADB command line...
Thanks for any feedback
To answer my own question...
In the build.prop, the line we need to change in order to have the recent apps in a card style instead of the 8 only recent apps.
ro.recents.grid=true
Change true to false
Is there a way to edit that line through an Adb command without Root permissions?
I've often used twrp to allow rootless (no SuperSU/magisk) edits via adb push/pull in the past. I tried doing this on my pixel 2 Xl on 8.1 and there are a few abnormalities:
1. Build.prop is under /system/system/build.prop
2. Changes I make there seem to be persisting across reboots, but the setting itself isn't having an impact.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? I know I can just root it, but I hate the idea of running some guys code and having potential safety net and app issues on an ongoing basis as things get upgraded. Just to enable making one change to build.prop.
Bumping this. After using Magisk to root, I used a file explorer to edit my build.prop and added a command to disable the nav bar. This method works perfectly fine. However, with Magisk causing random reboots on a daily basis, I'm looking to get rid of Magisk, for the time being.
After removing Magisk (root) my phone boots up just fine but the command in the build.prop to disable the nav bar no longer works, so the Nav bar shows up. When I ADB Pull my build.prop, I'm seeing that the command line I added is there. But without root the system won't apply the command.
As soon as I re-install Magisk and reboot, the nav bar is gone again. So I essentially need to figure out how to get the build.prop edit to continue being used by the system without Magisk.
I tried editing the build.prop permissions by using ADB Shell and setting the appropriate permission with "chmod 644 /system/system/build.prop but it just keeps erroring out.
Any ideas?
I know there are some apps that can be granted permission with out root to achieve root like access for example FNG I used the command below.
Is there anything out there that will allow changing the emojis using something like this I don't want to root my phone just yet.
adb shell pm grant com.fb.fluid android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS

I did see this the other day but haven't tried it. I use several apps that you have to use adb commands to use instead of root.

Try the Galaxy Store. Search it.
I don't use them but Samsung allows for a lot of stock customization...
Zfont added a new way to install fonts on oneui. Work for me but half of the emojis with genders options doesn't see correctly, I don't know why
