Which Rom and Kernel

Hey guys,
I've decided I am going to grab one of these, and am looking at preparing which Rom and Kernel. I am mainly after battery life and smoothness. What do you recommend?

Faux kernel without a doubt.
As for roms, try them out yourself. HOX has a lot well known devs and their super cool roms. If I was to recommend, give leedroid a try, try aosp, cm9 and paranoidandroid for sure.

Wait few hours and charmeleon v5 will be upgraded in few hours. And then flash it you don't need any other Rom.

As far as kernel.. Eternity is pretty awsome..... with kernel v3.4 and OTG working ..i thinks thats pretty awesome.....

A few suggestions from my own experience:
1. InsertCoin 7.3.0 with Bricked Kernel 0.3
2. Charmeleon v5.0.0 with Faux Kernel
3. Android Revolution HD 7.1.0 with Franco's Kernel or stay with Stock Kernel..both are great in terms of battery life and performance..

OP here is a good combo for you mate and proof how good both rom and kernel are

[Q] best rom for the samsun gio?

Good afternoon,
What is the best rom for the samsun gio with Portuguese language.
Did the most stable and fast. I appreciate your opinions.

I have tried almost all Gio roms available on xda but DroidGio V3.2 is the best and most smooth and stable rom for me. I hope you will also like it as it has portugese language also.

ive been using that rom for almost 3 months and i must say, better battery life and fast. although the ADWlauncher is slow.

M'Rage by MatZ69. Although I've grown rather tired of the Orange pseudo-MIUI look, it's the fastest ROM with the best battery life you can find on this site for Gio. Battery on display is mostly between 5 - 6h. No less than that.

that is the 1st rom ive flashed after my phone is rooted. its good too and the orange theme, but for me its a bit laggy.. and CM7.2 unofficial battery on display for me is almost 12hrs.. with fly-on mod..

Are you being serious? O__O' You barely get 6 hours on stock, from what I remember. Can you please provide the link for fly-on mod and did you have any difficulties while installing it? I've tried a few mods here and there but they never worked.

but my last use of phone is form 7am 100% charged to 11pm with 13% battery.. and im using it all day txting, calling and surfing a bit.

follow the guide carefully because not every phone and ROM are the same, some says it worst and others say they
give them better outcome.. try it, because for me it works fine.

So with cm 7.2 + fly on mod. You're getting better stats even more then stock 2.3.6!?

Well, it depends on the battery itself. Original or not. and usage too. Hehehe. I dont have gio anymore, i switch to grand duos so i cant test anymore. Hehe

Which ROM is better for Xiaomi Mi Max 32 GB, CM 13 or Resurrection Remix 5.7.3? Both are unofficial and available in this forum.

RR is based on CM and has a lot more customizations. I always use it over CM.

There's no point to this thread. Everybody has there own preferences. Comparing 2great Roms does not help anyone.

Best Oreo rom AEX VS Pixel Experience??

What do you think is the best Oreo rom, Aex or pixel experience. Is any of them good or should I stick with nougat Viper os.

I have been using pixel experience ROM from a week and I didn't any problem with it
Almost all bugs have gone.

I feel Jaguar rocks ?

Viper naugat is better .

Pixel Experience
I am using pixel Experience rom from about 2 months and it is awesome and simple rom. Pixel 2 camera working, Google lens working, and call bubble 2 working.

I use stock kernel,i get 4-5h sot with wifi/4g always on depends if I'm home or no.I'm happy with that

Yes bro... But Stock Pixel-2 like experience and Stabler. I am going to try AEX and Jaguar Rom Soon.

worse battery life since 10.0.6

Hey all,
I think it has been since the 10.0.6 or 10.0.7 update that my battery has almost 2 hours less runtime in everyday life. After I described the current situation to the support and sent them screenshots from Better Battery Stats, I have received no response until today.
Resetting via the settings or via recovery did not help.
I'm currently on Beta 2, but nothing has really changed since all the updates. I also reset my cell phone in between or just deleted the cache.
It is striking that WLAN uses a lot of battery
Maybe someone can help me or had the same situation.

Yes, I was getting tremendous battery life in Stable version but after coming to Beta my phone's battery life worsened. I think i have to wait for the next beta to come.

I'm using Beta 2 with Arters Kernel and I'm happy with the result.
