Hello my friends! How are you!!
Just made a clean( full wipe, restore, etc..) update to android Pie 9 (52.0.A.3.27).
But something still bother me a LOT!
The Dialpad.
When you have to manually dial a number, or even use for find a name using the T9 function( old name), its very sloooooow... You press a number and after almost 1 sec you have the number at the screen. Horrible.
I'm not talking about the keyboard( swiftkey in my situation).
I already tried clean the cache and memory from the contacts and dialer applications, but still slow..
I use google accounts, to sync my contacts, but I dont think that this is the problem.
I dont want to use another dialer apk, but......

Hi fellows,
First-of-all appologies if I am asking this question again.
I have recently upgraded the OS in my Orbit and now its WM-2006 from O2, I have clearly remember that I have used ""Voice activation"" or ""Voice Tag"" software to link my few contacts to voices, on that day once I was tagging the contacts in that same software there was also the option to voice tag the software or commands to setup, and just for trial I have tagged TomTom to run through the voice command. Since after couple of days I am trying to search that facility but no-way I can find that software. That voice Tagging software is completely gone missing.
Can anyone help, I dont wanna install third party software for voice tagging.

The Dopod SEA Rom doesn't feature the Cyberon voice dialler software, which I personally hate anyway - Microsoft Voice Command (v1.6) is SO much better, though I do realise you said you don't want 3rd party apps.
I know that the official O2 WM6 ROM does have what you're after, but that's OS v3.4 compared to the Dopod which is v3.7, if that bothers you...

It works perfectly. After installation you only have the speelddial settings icon added in your settings menu. You have to manually make a shortcut to the activate file: \windows\sddialer.exe.

Thanks for the replies, anyway I found the software came by default in 2006, basically this software seems like to works with all the option only once (first time) when there is no Voice trained for anything, and later-on if you want to add another voice command for any other APPLICATION then it doesn't start in that specific mode (or may be I couldn't figure-out), This software is from a company called ""Cyberon"" ( http://www.cyberon.com.tw/speeddial.htm ), Attached picture tabbed screen doesn't appear again after you tag 1st voice command (doesn't matter for contacts or application).
I have also tried Microsoft Voice Command software but according to their reputation I personally feel that that software is the most crapiest software for voice recognition.
So according to my experiment use the default software, write a list of your daily use software and then voice tag them on the first time, otherwise you have to delete all the voice tags including contacts, or may be you have to hard-rest your Orbit to tag your softwares. e.g TomTom

1st time u can use the normal activation tag (sddialer.exe). If nothing is stored (1st time) u can add contacts of software. If u want 2 add anything later, u go 2 setttings and then personal, there u can find a icon to the screen you want.

install the cab.
Then you look ok the ppc "start, settings, personal", you will see a icon named Voice Speed dial. The you can set your contacts and voicecommand.
To execute voice speed dial, you have to make a shortcut to the file sddialer.exe. This file is in the \windows directory on your ppc.

I will tell you what limited, in regular prog you cant delete individual msg, you dont see how many symbols you type and etc. SMS SUCKS at TP2.

cant delete individual msg? Turn off Threading (try reading the Tips and Tweaks thread)
Dont know how many symbols?? mine counts fine, ^ counts as 2 characters.. hmm.. IF by "regular prog" you mean in the TF3D reply window, then yah that doesnt have a counter.
Why do you need it to count text for?? If you need to type any more than 160chars, it will be sent as 2 messages.
anything else that you wanna consider as SUCK?

I personally don't like the TF3D SMS interface so I use good ol WM interface when I have a threaded message open. It shows in the taskbar how many characters you've typed & if you want to delete an individual message you just use the arrow keys & move to thw one you want to delete & choose the option in the menu.
Very oftently you dont see sent msg in TF3D, but you can see them in wm msg. IT sucks and very slow.
I have a deep and unabiding hatred for the TF3D SMS application, and I hope someone figures out a way to make clicking a message in TF3D go directly to the WM SMS app at some point.

i have an issue with hitting back (used to it being send) and i hate the send button because for me it is very laggy usually .. when i need to fire off a bunch of messages real quick the system almost freezes up ... not very productive and alot of times i cant tell if its sent or not because it takes to long to load my reply on the thread..
touch pro 2 sucks, most sluggish phone i ever worked with, i think i will sell it.
Seems the TP2 (stock roms, touch flo enabled) uses some new contact manager app?
So is there a way to make manila use the gold old WM6 contacts instead of the one it uses by default?

PS this is for us people who use this more business setting I guess. (or are old like me and dont like change?) Anyway, I have contacts grouped by Company, which is handy as hell & I dont need facebook. Please help us.
My solution would be that you start to make a call, hit green call button, hit the "contacts" soft button or whatever at the bottom, which would open the older type contacts, just like you had clicked on Start-All programs-contacts.

I have a real problem with the contact manager that this phone offers, i had to remap the button to bring the up other version , but still sucks for business use..so i loaded Pocket informant which helps but with out aD pad it is not as easy to use...got to find a solution for this, love the phone but one handed usage is very important and may drive me back to my old Tilt

Installed via update.zip but still BlurContacts. Calling-Button, too.
If I rename (RootExplorer) it from Contacts.apk to BlurContacts.apk... it don't want to start, if I tap on a Contact, I'm getting back to Homescreen.
How I must install/use it ?
E: I'm using OperaMobile, for Flashvideos the stock Browser.
when i got my htc legend before getting the motorola defy i had something similar like Wysie Contacts and it was perfect, this dialer is a **** compared to that.

I tried a few dialers, most of them got stuck (slowed down) after dialing in the first 4 digits/alphabets. Guess the searching part mess up. Yesterday I read up magazine and got Angel Dialer. That's the best so far I've tried. It's ad supported, but the key is the speed. Great job for them.

most ppl i know use ray dialer or dialer one. i would say these 2 are good, and go dialer is not bad as well, as it includes go contact as well
as for browser, i personally use Miren Browser. fits my usage the best

I just got a neo 3, and well.... it is big hehe. also I understand that having to use both hands is a giving for many things but come on, also the dialer?.
I activated the one handed operation and it does help, but the issue that doesn't remember the most dialer contacts (so it can prioritize when start dialing) and that you have to go to the top of the phone to change between keypad, Logs, favorites and contacts (you can't even swipe to change between them) is a pain!.
so, what do you do? do you install another dialer software?
any comments will be appreciated!
