My Redmi 5A fell down and now it is not turning on.
when trying to power on by holding power button it is showing a low battery sign , but after charging for about 3-4 hours it is still showing the same low battery sign.
* I connected it with pc and found that fastboot commands are working (probably charging jack is not defected)
pls suggest some solutions for this
Your battery might be failing. Go to a repair shop and ask em to check your battery for any problems.

Hello!
I searched the other threads for hours, but I seems my problem isn´t covered.
When I got home today, my defy was off and it was not possible to turn it on.
Battery voltage is 3.8V, seems ok.
Phone wont´t charge when connected to charger or PC.
It does nothing when connected to PC with battery inside.
Without battery, the phone flashes one single time the white led.
When I insert the battery at that time, the windows 'usb-device-connected' sound is played, followed by the disconnect sound 2-3 seconds later.
RDS does not recognize the phone.
Pressing volume + did not change anything.
I am out of ideas now and very thankful for any advice.
Thank You!
David
Hold volume down while inserting the battery. Should say ok to program
evil mb525 assassin
Thank you very much vor your reply!
Sadly, that did not work either.
I even got an old harddrive with windows xp on it, but it´s the same - connect sound followed by the disconnect sound.
I can even see the motorola flash device in the device manager for 1 second, but RDS does not care. :-(
Can you charge your batt in another way. What about boot in boot loader or stock recovery.?

Thank you!
Since I cannot turn it on in any mode and it is not recognized by RSD, I don´t see a way to do a recovery. But I will try to charge the battery completely with a lab psu.
If it is connected to wall charger you should he getting direct voltage, I would try pulling the battery out, plug into wall charger and hold power button
for 5 sec.

Ok do this, pull the battery out and plug device into av wall charger, hold power button for 5 sec. A image should appear of a battery with "?" Insert battery at this time and it should give you a reading of 5%
Sounds like you battery completely died and it does not have enough power to boot in order to connect to usb, give it direct voltage, is its not working after that i would be worried

I connected the phone without the battery to the wall charger. The only thing that happens is that the white led flashes every 2 seconds. Pressing the power button even for a minute makes no difference.
I guess that is no good sign. Probalby time to fill out he warranty form.
Poor litte phone. ;-(
Did you try charging with the lab PSU? What resulted from that?
Yes, the battery took the charge as it should.
But it did not help.
I shipped it to the repair center an hour ago and hope whatever happened to the device is covered by warranty.
I would like to thank eveyone here for helping me with my problem!
I will post the result here when the center contacts me next week.
Greetings,
David
Hi
I have a RedMi 1S running V45 (Indian Version). I am using this mobile since last 1 month. I am facing a strage issue with the phone.
Whenever the battery drains completely and the phone get switched off, it is taking forever to switch on the phone even after charging. I atleast need to charge it for 1 or 2 hours to see something on the screen. Its like the phone is completely dead.
I tried taking of the battery and inserted it and then charged. At this stage only thing I notice is the status LED glows in RED for a couple of seconds and like dead. After one or 2 hours, I see that LED starts blinking in RED. After this I need to wait for another 30 min or 1 hour to be able to switch on the phone. It is like the phone is taking almost 2 hours to get the initial charge to switch on the phone.
Is anyone facing same kind of issue?
Thanks
No mine is fine..
It only takes about 10-15s normally to gain initial charge to boot up !
Maybe some issue with charging?
No such issue faced yet. Once mine got fully discharged , but started in few seconds of charging.
Issue with the Charger
Hi
Looks like issue/compatibility with the Charger. I was using Samsung 2.5A charger which I bought for old mobile. Today, I tested with the original MI charger and the phone immediately showing the charging status. The MI original charger is 2A one. But still I think it has some compatibility issue with other chargers.
Thanks for your replies.
Dont!!!
@mail2eswar Please Dont use any other charger except xiaomi charger!! Its Snapdragon 400 8228 and it actually supports Qualcomm Quick charge 2.0 but its not working (donno bcaz of kernel or its locked) So if u use any other charger u'll end up in SoC failures :silly: and leads Motherboard replacement!!!! :cyclops:

Don't ever use another's phone as your Charger. Different V and A are the main cause of your issue.

Did you get any solution for this issue I'm facing the same the same problem. I'm unable to restart my redmi 1s
Eaxct same problem on my Redmi 1S
Exactly the same issue with mu Redmi 1S. Initially everything was fine. Then one day I lost my original Charger (1 Amp) , and I started looking for a replacement charger. I got one 2 Amp Fast charger from a local store and initially everything was fine and the Phone used to charge fine but then it wont hold the charge for too long. So I started using my Redmi Note4 charger which again is a 2 Amp charger.
But as I see is that if my phone is once drained fully, it is not easy to start back. 2 Amp charger connected for 3 hours straight did'nt help, apart from the intermittent flicker of the LED once a while. No battery charging animation on the screen.
Then I took 1.2 Amp Nexus Charger and behold the full screen battery charging animation pops up immediately. I could start my phone while charging.
My inference is that get an original Xiaomi Redmi 1S (1 Amp) charger if you can. Or else suffer like me
i have the same problem . did you fix it
exactly same problem here. Difference is that I'm using Redmi 1s for more than 3 yrs and suddenly out of nowhere these happened ( after battery discharged its not starting and a red led is blinking, even removing battery and connecting to the charger didn't work). Someone mentioned here not to use different charger, probably they r right bcz I used samsung charger while this happened. Went to Mi Authorized Servicing Centre they told Motherboard is damaged and will cost Rs. 4800/-. No way man! my Mi was of 5999/- not gonna fix it with 4800/-. I'll rather go for a new one.
can i solve this problem by changing another os
Yes You are right. Today after complete battery drain, I have connected phone to another charger that time LED on mobile start blinking so I assume that it started charging while it was not. After another one hr I tried to switched on but it was not switching on so I was worried and I started searching solution, Strangly when I connected Orignal Charger , it immediately shows battery symbol which was showing 0% charge. Thanks to this thread which help me to find solution.
Hello everyone. My Lenovo Zuk Z2 battery have died and it won't recharge.
When I plug in the charger the bottom of the phone get really hot. at the top of the phone there is a white light that just blinks. the phone does not turn on.
I tried connecting it to my laptop but i only get the message that the usb does not recognize the device.
I would really like to get my data off the phone if it cannot be fixed.
Please help!
Hi there this happened to me to. On its first day so I am sending back the phone.
Any possibility you used quickcharge 2.0 charger? I read this is a problem for the phone and the dedicated chip is broken in the phone what needs to be replaced.
Something similar happened to me too. My phone had switched off after the battery got low and when I tried to charge it, the white LED would blink, the charge symbol would show up at 0%, then the phone would vibrate and the cycle would repeat. I realized the problem was I was using not using the original USB-C charging cable. I had bought an additional usb-c "fast-charging' cable and I was charging using that. Once I switched back to my original cable, all was good.
Might be some hardware failure. Hardware Repairs will probably be necessary
Same problem guys tried using the original cable please helpppp

I followed the advice from this:
SOLVED: Phone won't accept charge/turn on - Lenovo Phone
FIX YOUR PHONE Remove the cover and then disconnect the battery and hold on power key then charge the phone without battery for 7 sec and then clean the battery plugs not with water dry cloth and then connect your phone this is because of a minor power failure in motherboard and keep the...

different phone, but it worked.
Basically:
disconnect battery
hold power button down for 7 seconds
reconnect battery
charge like normal
I don't know how long this fix works, but hopefully long enough for you to rescue your important stuff.
Good luck.
my nexus 7 2013 wont turn on its just blinks the while light 4-5 times on pressing the power button.
i am using wireless charging which works well as the micro charging port failed a year ago.
I did try to turn it on by keeping pressing the power button form 30 seconds and it turned on yesterday, the battery was 97% full ,and the tablet was almost out of space and i tried to delete some apps/ videos to free up some space.
After the battery died i put it back on the wireless charger overnight, but now when i try to turn it on it only shows 5 white lights and does not turn on ,
do you guys with such experience please tell me how to fix this.
many thanks.

The blinks typically indicate a faulty battery. Sometimes it can continuously blink which can be fixed by re-plugging the battery. If the battery measures >3.5V under load then the blinks indicate eMMC chip fault - more info here http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7-2013/nexus-7-2013-qa/fix-nexus-7-2013-bricked-stuck-t3310608
As you can see there is no simple answer but there is 90% chance that it is the battery fault - just measure it with a voltmeter.
Incidentally, re your broken USB port, try to squeeze it, and it may start working again.
:fingers-crossed:
my phone stops working while charging. my unit is Mi 11 lite... I charge it in the morning and I did see the charging animation before leaving, it says "33.16%", after i charge the phone, i left if and do some house works and when I came back it wont turn on even I charged it for 1 hour and doing things like volume down+power button. I checked it if it is charging using a power bank that has a percent indicator but it came out that it wasnt charging because the battery of power bank after an hour is still the same. Your battery or your USB port is fried, and the battery drains until stone dead. You may contact a xiaomi service center.
