I am considering buying a brand new unlocked Samsung Galaxy S9 and using it on Total Wireless, which is a Verizon MVNO. I started reading about dual SIM adapters. What deal-SIM adapters work well with the Samsung Galaxy S9? What are the shortcomings of using these? Do you lose the ability to have a micro SD card? I assume only one SIM card can work at a time or is there a way to have dual receive, but switch to the other SIM cars, as needed?

I currently own a HTC Rezound, but (hopefully) will trade someone tom. for a G Nex. Since these phones use different sized sim cards, what do I need to do to get everything working properly on the Nexus as far as sim card is concerned?
the best thing is go to vzw (assuming you're on vzw) after you have your nexus and ask for a new sim. they should give you one.
Yes, I am on VZ. Any idea if they would charge for one?
I don't think they will but I'm not sure

Most carriers don't charge you but if they do then if you have a micro sim card just get an adapter off of eBay so you can convert it to a normal sim card (Galaxy Nexus only takes normal sized sim card)

Make sure the vzw galaxy nexus is legit and not blacklisted (guy doesn't pay his bill and vzw blocks the ESN)

I recently switched over to AT&T and picked up a Moto X and a Nexus 5. After getting all of my accessories in the mail for the N5 I decided to switch over to it to use it as my daily phone. But after removing the sim card tray for the Moto X I realized its a nano sim. I was going to buy a sim card adapter to switch between the two until I seen all the bad reviews. So, should I just take a lose and just spend $25 on a new sim, or does anyone know of a sim apapter that will not mess up my N5?
i got a question about this weird phone i got abroad from my mother....it's a Galaxy S III Tracphone, it doesn't have a sim card slot only a micro sd card slot
how would i be able to use this here at the philippines? this is the first time i've seen a smartphone without a simcard slot
So I'm planning on pre-ordering the gs6. My question is, does the phone come with a sim card or will I have to take it to att. I'm on a gs4 and I'm pretty sure the gs6 takes a different size sim.

S6 uses a nano SIM, S4 uses micro SIM. So yeah, it's different. But the chip itself is the same, and only needs cutting down. If you take to an AT&T store, they can probably cut it down for you. Or you can go on eBay and pick up a cutter for a mere few bucks (including an adapter that lets you use the nano SIM in a micro SIM phone).
any way to use 2 sims with micro sd card ?
From my understanding not on newer Samsung dual SIM phones.
You might be able to use one SIM and the e-SIM.
You can use eSIM plus nanoSIM on s20 ultra and that will leave the microSD available. A guy on you tube showing the eSIM setup details sort of confirmed this.
I will update when I get an Ultra.
But that seems to be one of the biggest features on s20 Ultra this eSIM support and microSD with two numbers
From what I've read it may depend on the carrier software/CSC, as to whether you can use another SIM card along with the eSIM? But I can't see anything confirming that so far besides user posts at some places which seem to be more speculation than anything.
All that I can confirm for sure is, that it is possible. My carrier (Telstra, Australia) offered me both a standard SIM or eSIM when ordering, in which they said I could use another SIM freely along with the eSIM (eSIM is what I chose) I hope that's applicable for all.
They talked about this on the Samsung Forums. The international version has a hybrid slot allowing 2 nano Sims or one nano sim and MicroSD. In the US version one nano sim and MicroSD. If you use the ESim and nano sim only one can be used at a time not both. Like you can't be calling on one and texting on another. At same time.
The ability to use only one line at a time is not particular to the eSIM. My Note 8 has two nanoSIM cards and same limitation applies. When I talk on one of the cards the other is disconnected. Data comes only on one of the cards. Indeed only one has 4g connection.
I suppose s20 have similar limitations. I think this is limit as there is only one radio.
The gain is that both SIM are registered in the network and both can receive calls or be used to make calls at a given point of time but not simultaneously.
In my case both cards go to the same operator. One is from work the other is my personal number.
It works on the EU model SM-988B/DS
One nanoSIM + eSIM + MicroSD works.
I got my S20 Ultra last night and now have 256GB storage 128 built-in and 128GB SD card.
Now I have to figure if UHS-II benefits me or I stay with slow big cheap UHS-I card. Perhaps I will go to 400GB card.
