How does it perform? Worthwhile?
It actually runs pretty well, but it's very touchy when it comes to what it will run on. I have only been able to get it to work on the stock rom, I have stock rooted with magisk manager hidden and magisk hide on for both firtnite installer and firtnite. If you use substratum then it boots you, and certain magisk module cause issues too.
You guys use gamepad on fortnite?

Hello fellow OP3 owners;
I recently rooted my OP3 and am a noob when it comes to Layers. I've only ever used CM theme engine. I'd like to stay on Oxygen until the binaries for dash charging are released.
My question is, does Oxygen support Layers? Now that I am rooted is there anything special I might need to do to get it working?
Anybody with expertise to discuss is appreciated. Hope everyone is enjoying their new device as I am
Cheers!
Just installed layers manager and layers showcase from the play store and it worked. Sweet. It also doesn't trigger the safetynet check so if you are using systemless root, Android pay should still work. The downside though is that many layers on the play store don't list compatibility with the OP3 so many of them are harder to get from the showcase app.
Edit: Should mention I'm on OOS 3.1.2 with systemless SuperSU.

Every theme *should* work but I've noticed most ones that theme the "Framework" have issues such as not booting or rebooting when you get power menu style popups.

Hi z5 premium users, there is a guide for installing xposed on nougat 7.1 .1
There are some z5 users who used this method and it's working for them.
Any one tested this on z5 premium ?
Working or not?

I Have Z5p E6853 and Android N 7.1.1 32.4.A.0.160 stock rooted kernel and Xposed(SDK25 ARM64 ) does work on my device and a lot of modules work great and even Amplify works great, but only after i moved it to system partition and changed permissions to 777, not all modules work though (Greenify doesn't work) - but i moved it to system/priv-app folder and i use it as "Root + Privileged (Rom-integrated)" working mode .
So i Suggest to try your best with Xposed too!

Thanks for your feedback ?
I always use some modules like : fsbi, lolistat, hide navbar, xposed edge, battery notification mode, are these working on nougat too? Could you test them if it's possible for you? However I'm on e6833.
And is there any unistall patch for nougat xposed to flash through twrp?

You are very welcome!
As for "Xposed edge pro", I use it all the time and it works great but you need to restart after every change to see the affect.
Here is the link to the Uninstaller(System-less and system mode): http://main.purifyos.it/xposed/
It literally saved me many times after boot-loops or sony logo freeze and etc...
All taken from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-nougat-sdk-25-arm64-t3639221
As for other modules, i'm currently testing another rom(LineageOS) so i haven't installed Xposed there yet, but i'll keep you posted for when i install Xposed if you wish.
Hope it helps!
Did you ran into an issue where the Xposed is installed but not active? If so how did you resolve it?

Make sure you install the latest Xposed Installer,
Always pick the latest("XposedInstaller_by_dvdandroid_04_08_17.apk" in this case ):

I have tested it myself, it partly worked for me too, z5 premium dual e6833 7.1.1 build. 160, fsbi and lolistat worked partly again, I needed fsbi for changing the size of notifications, but it isn't working for notifications (
Hide navbar is not working too. I'm waiting for stable and fully work framework
I have tested. Working (7.1.1-Z5)

Hi my friend,
how did you root this version of android?
My phone is the same as you but E6833,could you please help me and show me the way?
thanks in advance
Hey just a thought, I found Magisk was great in managing all of this kind of stuff, where it takes the questions out of it. Just root your phone with magisk and install the Xposed module, download and install the magisk supported Xposed app and there you have it, fully working Xposed framework, systemlessley!
Official Xposed Framework for Android Nougat is Here – Download your Favorite Modules Now!
Announcement by rovo89 in XDA thread
Anyone tried it yet? Please give your feedback here.
He also says Xposed for Oreo won't be a long wait!
Tried it on a stock build, rooted, BL unlocked, etc. Installs great. The Youtube adaway works well, greenify doesnt work yet. the others I use arnt supporting N yet. only a matter of time
either way, its safe to install, make sure you install the correct version, and wipe cache on boot, or else stuff breaks
I mainly used (on my Moto X Pure running MM): GravityBox (which is supposed to be ready), Youtube adaway, and Youtube background play. Greenify and Amplify too but not nearly as important on this phone. OG Youtube has given me pretty much the same capability using custom ROMs, though, along with some of the customization you get in Gravitybox. I do wonder about a potential performance hit running the Xposed framework, but it'd sure be nice having the full stock camera functionality again.

Can you please share the direct download link of what needs to be flashed/installed first? It would be great if you can mention the order of flash/install as well? This is for users like me who would be requiring some help.
Also, I have magisk 14 installed on my rooted g5 Plus and am seeing Xposed Installer in the Downloads section? Can you please confirm if this is the official one?

I'm using the GB beta. It's working well for me. No need to flash AOSP anymore
GB has all the things I like to flash LOS for and I don't have to deal with any bugs :good:
I've got it running too, thanks to the favorable feedback getting me to take the plunge after not being on stock for several months. Am using the Youtube Adaway that appears under Installer/Download, then found a Youtube Background Playback module apk that seems to work fine, and the GravityBox/Nougat also as an apk (says it's alpha, not beta). No errors or problems so far and settings are holding after reboots.
I'm really not a big camera user but the stock camera is noticeably brighter and just works way better than those on the custom roms. Viper4Arise (flashed as a zip in TWRP) works on everything but SoundCloud, which I think is a nougat thing because it works on all the oreo roms I tried, but also didn't on most nougat roms.
I'd say it's definitely a go for those wanting to try it, just do some research to see if your preferred modules are working or not, and don't expect it to be perfect yet since it just came out.

Does not work on moto g5plus for me . get architecture error
update :after reinstalling apk it stated framework was active
Anyone gotten gpay to work on rooted Q5?
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Yeah, with the database changes mentioned here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/magisk-google-pay-gms-17-1-22-pie-t3929950
The thread has quite a few options for running the commands including a magisk module.
Haven't gotten it to work even with those database tweaks (and yes, I did make it read only too, magisk hide activated and even trying to switch it off and back on on boot doesn't help, and magisk manager is hidden as random app name). It did work fine in P, but no luck in Q on my side.
For me it's not working neither....
I managed to get it working using the database changes and using the magiskhide props config to change the fingerprint to the latest pie build for the 3 XL.
Rooted with Magisk Canary, using EdXposed YAHFA, since Sandhook causes bootloop (hanging at G eternally). xPrivacyLua says "Module Not Installed Or Updated" Same installing from inside EdXposed and as .apk.
Other modules work if I install them, so EdXposed is generally working, but the only one I really care about is xPrivacy.
Is anyone using EdXposed, and are there any tricks or known gotchas with Q or the XL / Bonita that I am overlooking? I would really love to get xPrivacyLua running.
Edited to add:
Fixed by using EdXposed-YAHFA-v0.4.6.0_beta-release.zip
