Is it justified to have two separate forums for rom dev?
What else besides the notch/screen/battery separates these phones? ?
nothing else.

Rhetorical question.. So why 2 different forums to confuse things?
I've no idea why XDA does things that way. It's cleaner I guess but it's a pain when you want to look at both.

I imagine that it has to do more with the customization options because they do use different firmware for each. The Pixel 2 XL had additional steps to unlock the bootloader in spite of the fact that the hardware in the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL was pretty much the same.

I just upgraded my TMobile line to a 2 XL, and I want to use my old XL for my Verizon line. In the old 6P days, I would have to change the image due to them being carrier specific. Is that true for the Pixel XLs? It appears that Verizon is using OPR3.170623.013 now, and there is no specific Verizon image. Can someone just confirm that I should be able to reset the phone, pop the Verizon SIM in, and be off to the races? Thanks!
My understanding is just pop in the sim and you are good to go. It may tell you there is an update available and it may wait until the December update is ready. The Verizon specific firmware really just deals with some reception/radio type stuff from what I have read. When I got my Pixel XL I just dumped the sim in it from my old phone and it took care of itself, I have a Google Store version with a Verizon SIM.

With the 6p, I had horrid coverage problems until I put the Vz specific OS on it...

I can't speak to that, I would just pop the sim in and see what happens, it will take a Verizon firmware, I just don't know when. When you put the sim in give it a few minutes to see if it does it on its own, if not check for updates in settings and see if that pulls it in. No harm in just giving it a shot.

Is reception an issue, or did it take the Verizon update?

Would any of you mind sharing the installer?
It's not hard to find. You get it directly from Epic Games

The phone can't handle it. It requires more RAM. Also the game needs to be optimized for better performance. Also Pixel 2 XL isn't the best at gaming. There are other phones out there which do a fsr better job at this
It would be much easier to reach for me if it was on the right side instead of the left. Thanks.

I'm not seeing the "Live Caption" function in Android 10 on my Pixel 2 XL. Do we know which phones this is available on? And do we know if it's coming to the Pixel 2 line as well?
Thanks, Alan

Well ... that doesn't answer my question. I'm asking about a Pixel device.
Does anyone know if and when Live Caption is coming to Pixel 2?

Yes it does answer your question. Reread the answer and it's "Later this fall".
