Hi guys,
I'm new here and was hoping one of you maybe able to help? I rooted my phone last night at work and all went fine. I thought as I was on a role I would do the camera mod too but that's when it all went wrong!
I was rebooting my phone over and over with no issue at all trying to trouble shoot. The phone was working great well apart from the camera lol But when i rebooted it it now just sticks at the LG splash screen with the top led flashing green/blue!
Now I can hold down the button config to get into recovery and it just offers a factory reset so I selected this and it just boots back into this state again!
I have had the battery out for a while and even left it just sitting but it seems knackered for some reason..PLEASE HELP. PLEASE.
Now I have only had the phone for 3 days so what are the odds of getting it replaced and stating it's faulty?
Plug it into your PC and use LG PC SUITE. Restore to factory state

Hi, As it is stuck on the boot logo the pc will not see the phone. I tried connecting it to the lg pc suite a few times when it was running but it would not find the phone.
There's a guide in the general section to restore stock firmware. Give it a whirl

Hi, Yeah i have seen that but most of it goes over my head about the F400 s/k/l models etc i have the uk version and cannot find a straight forward guide. But that's because it is so new i guess.
I may just call the provider and say it's shot! Is there any way they can prove it's been played with when it is this bricked?
Should be a guide for the D855, same model as I have. - depends who the carrier is. O2 can be pissy as can Vodafone and EE. THREE are easy to deal with tho. Because it's in your 14 days, they'll probably replace no questions asked for now.

I'm on 02, there doesn't seem to be any UK TOT files what ever they are only europe/America etc bit to early yet. I really don't see why it has failed it was working perfect then just died.
Give O2 a bell and see what they say. Within the 14 days they'll replace it for you. Unless you get a root savvy salesman who tries to be snotty lol. But tbh you'll be OK for a replacement.

By chance did you take a look at these TOT files? If you are having an issue where your device is only booting to the LG screen and then nothing else, try this. Remove the battery, put battery back in. Plug in your device via USB to your Windows computer, then hold Volume + and the Power button to launch the Download Mode. Download the files TOT file, DLL file, LG Flash Tool, LG Driver and follow the instructions in the above link and this should lead you to restoring your device.

I wasn't referring to restoring your device to the carriers specific settings, I was referring to restoring your LG D855 which that is the device you own is that correct? If so, have another look at my suggestion.

Hi Guys sorry for the late reply,
I have my phone up and running now by flashing the EUR 16GB TOT. And it's working like a charm. Now in the software it states V10a-EUR. My question is. Is this right for the UK and will it void the warranty?
I have read on here that some with the EUR software have trouble with 02/tesco 4g but I can say mine has been running great with 4G.
Thanks again for all the help.

This should appear in Stump Root ??
A.you have to talk with the Dev. on Stump Root xda page and ask them.
B.you have to use bruteforce mode.
What is bruteforce mode?
We need to know the right location to "attack", we hardcode it for models/firmwares we have encountered. When Stump hits a device it does not "know" it can bruteforce the location. This can take upwards of 2 hours, but once down (if the phone has an internet connect) it will report it to us, and future builds can include the location.
after you will do root tell them to update this DOC about your Ver. D724.

Has anyone tried to root the new G4 with the KingRoot application?
Yep
Thanks.. And what does "submit" means?
Think it sends your device information
Might want to change your thread title, you're making it look like KingRoot is a solution.
This isnt really root though. What it does is that it copies whole system and replicates it with one of root. Most of the time it doesnt stick after a reboot.

As others have stated, this method does not work on the G4 (but works on other new devices, so it leads me to believe it is something LG did and not something in Android L blocking it).
and yes, this title is VERY misleading, might want to throw a "Is it possible to" or " can you" at the start of the title......just sayin'
Getting anxious, I just tried the newest version ( 4.1.0.703) but it didn't work.

After Downloading the Kingroot APK file I tried numerous Apps to try and run it and all failed.
Install Total Commander onto your LG G3 from the Google play store.
Install Astro onto your LG G3 from the Google play store.
Run total Commander and navigate to downloads.
Hold your Finger down on the on the Kingroot apk file and hit open with when the screen list pops up
Select the Astro app.(App Info)
Then Install the app at the bottom and follow the rest of the KingRoot instructions.

Root mit KingRoot nicht möglich
Let me start by saying I APOLOGIZE, As I know this may not be the right section but I've asked there as well and couldn't find help. I feel as though I've exhausted all my resources and still can't get my Gpad to root. I've tried the one click method, kingroot, towelroot, various ADB scripts. You name it I tried them all out there. Is there anyone out there that knows how I can get this device rooted? For the past 3 weeks alone my mission had been to simply very this tablet rooted.
Sorry but I think we are lost no Root for this tablet with lollipop 5.0.2 and the bad part no exist a KDZ or TOT to back to stock.
Damn that's what I was fearing. I may just have to return it as, being NON ROOTED is not an option for me. I'll probably get a Nexus.

Excellent. Thank you!
This tablet came to me as 5.0.2 and I rooted it with LG One Click Root. Then while trying to fully enable tethering and half drunk I partially-bricked it (it would boot to a black screen and after a moment start adbd) so I flashed the 4.4.2 test-keys image and successfully rooted again with One Click Root (obviously). The trick is to change the COM port of the download mode driver from COM21 to COM17, as One Click Root expects the device to use COM17. Before starting, boot into download mode with the button combo (powered off, hold volume up while plugging in USB cord) and use Device Manager to change the port of the "LGE Mobile USB Serial Port" to COM17. It may take a few moments for the tablet to show up in Device Manager. Reboot the tablet. Now One Click Root will run through smoothly in one shot.

Helium works to restore data from device to device without root. I used it on my gs7 when transferring without root from a rooted phone. If it's not rooted, you just have to connect it to a computer to enable restore.

Helium only restores data I believe, not the app. I backed up from an m7 on lollipop to a gs7 on marshmallow. As long as the app is downloaded already the new phone data transfer should be simple.
