Anyone else have issue with "Ok Google" detection not working.
was working some weeks ago so maybe update issue
Having problems myself. It's kind of sporadic. I can never get it to work in the car like it used to, which for me is a big pain I tested it a moment ago and the only way it would work is when I put my mouth right up to the microphone. Is there a way to increase the microphone sensitivity for this?

My in call mic, as well a google now hot word, is not working after installing the latest firmware for lollipop.
It is recording at an extremely low volume. People say I sound muffled and far away.
To get "OK google" to respond I have to put the mic right next to my mouth.
Every thing is fine when using speakerphone .
Are there two mics in the phone? Why would it not work in normal call mode and be fine on speaker?
Also after a google search. I found people in the nexus 5 community with the same problem.
Tried flashing older lollipop firmware to no avail. I haven't tried going back to sense yet, as I want to keep lollipop.
Any help or ideas are appreciated.
Strange. Try reflashing it. Make sure to wipe.
Anyone? If there is two mics is there a way to switch when they work. I'm mean to say have the speaker phone mic work as a regular in call mic
This is making me crazy. I can't send the phone to HTC, they want $400 because I used HTC DEV to unlock my phone.
Sometimes it works fine, like 5% of the time. Speaker phone mic works perfectly. I have to put the phone right near my mouth to get "ok Google" commands to work.
Does anyone know how I can get the other mic to act as the primary one?
Searching the interwebs. There are rumors of the noise cancellation causing the issue. Idk?
Can't buy a new device. I'm stuck with this one. It is beyond frustrating.
I've flashed, RUU'D everything under the sun to try and fix this. Nothing.
Anyone?
Hi,
Any ideas on what i can try to get the MIC working on my W1 watch? Just updated to AW 2.0, done a full reset, still the MIC doesn't work. I made a call and the speaker is working fine but other end hears nothing. Using google assistant doesn't pickup anything. I did notice "ok google" stopped working before i updated it, but never bothered investing.
Sorry just noticed posted in wrong section, can't seem to delete this?
TIA

sounds like a hardware problem to me. Not sure where it is located, maybe some dirt got into it. If still under warranty I'd contact Huawei to look into it. Everything working here after going to Settings/Connectivity/Bluetooth/Play phone voice call on watch
good luck
Wanted to see if anyone else is having the same issue as I am recently with the Pixel. I know Google admitted to a Mic problem with certain build, but I don't know if that is my issue or not.
So randomly my voice commands will just stop working. If I try to use voice text in the stock Messenger I will get "Initializing" instead of "listening". "Ok Google" will not work either. Further, if I hold the Home button to prompt the Assistant, it does not show that it hears anything at all. I do NOT have any issues with phone calls at all, which is why it is confusing me. Don't know if its hardware or software.
Is there any way to test the microphones to see if one or more are failing? Anyone else experiencing these issues?
I would think the Pixel uses the same mic for voice commands and phone calls. Have you considered trying the Pixel support option? That's supposed to be one of the perks of owning a Pixel so you might as well take advantage of it.
My experience with Pixel support was not good. Further, there are 3 mics on the phone. The major hardware issue that Google admitted to kills all 3 mics and does not allow for anyone to hear you talking via phone call, which mine does work.
Got the A50 just a few works ago, has been working fine so far, but a couple of days ago the mic stopped working.
No one could hear me during calls.
Found out that people can hear me just fine when i put on the speakerphone or whatever its called, during a call.
Any solution to this?
Many thanks in advance
Yeah, bring it back for warranty check
Anybody having issues with hey Google? When I say it my phone hears it and the little assistant pops up at the bottom.. but then I have to press the microphone picture to use it instead of just talking like I have with every other phone I've had since that feature came out. IDK what I can do to fix it.
