Just read this before you ask questions..

Hi all xda members, i just like to help you to solve your problems as fast as possible. Being answered correctly and being solved fastly and accurately.
I am putting this because i had found large number of posts in which people got in trouble, just because they havent asked their doubts correctly. Also not all phones have same specifications so that a common answer may not be applicable for every one to solve problems.
So its all about the way of asking a question in the forum. Please read and follow these whether you are posting a new thread or just in middle of a discussion.
Always read stickies before you post. They are put on top because they can solve most of your doubts, and they can help you to understand what you should/ shouldn't do.
Before asking a question please mention your wildfire specifications including.
Rom
Kernal
Radio
Hboot
S-on / s- off
Tweaks / coustomizations you installed.
Memory card partitions info.
Then you must explain what happened, when you try what.
Eg. My phone got boot loop error when i installed "xxxx script"
If you are trying to learn some thing never ask in parts, ask fully.
Eg. I want to flash a new custom rom, so from where i should start. And never ask like this ; "i cant instal xxxx rom in my phone. Pls help".
Just make intentions clearely.
Dont blame those who helped you for the reason that they asked you to do a thing and you have done some thing else, which may caused you some problems.
Always remember that a straight and clear question will always give you a staight and clear answer.
If you follow these ways of asking questions , i assure that you may not get into trouble.so folow these simple rules. Be happy.
Regards
Shah.

Where did you find Jikantru on the Wildfire Forums? ROMs are device specific so simply lifting a ROM for another device and expecting it to work or "make it work", in your words, is foolish.
Again.. thiz is not q/a thread. Pls dnt ask questions here. And those who wish to replay, pls dnt do it here..

Hi, firstly wrong thread, you should have openend up a new post in the Q&A section. Secondly you will need to go to your manufactures website here and find a way to make an acount, then you will need to go to support/service software and then download your stock rom, extract it and take the music app. then push the app to system/app on the phone, set the permissions to the same as everywhere else and then reboot. according to here post #7.
Also i would recommend asking for support on that thread, after reading it, as people here do not own your device

How to unlock MTS
I am having a MTS MTAG, its locked to support MTS sim cards only, when i bought the phone i took it to my brothers place ( In another city )
for unlocking that phone, he took me to the nearby shop for unlocking the phone, but now the phone (by mistake) got a hard reset and now its again asking for MTS only sim card, no one knows in my towwn how to unlock mobiles ( small town) and the person in my brothers town closed his shop and left, I would have simply used an MTS card but MTS stopped his service in my state, so please tell me how to unlock it ( i think i will be able to do it on my own if i know the procedure). AND if it helps its a CDMA device. When i turn on the phone its asks me to insert mts sim and without it can cant operate it. PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!!

To do this, go to galaxynote2root website and look at the tutorials. It takes you step by step and is basically a can't miss process. You can even reverse it later on if you don't like the results, but I found it great to fine tune your device to exactly what you want out of it.

1. This is the Galaxy Note 2 forum. Putting "Galaxy Note 2" in your thread title is ridiculous.
2. You also specifically create a "Help" topic but then for some odd reason decide to put it in "General" instead of the dedicated "Help" section???
3. No spoon feeding is allowed on XDA, if you want to root your device start reading instead of creating threads that already exist. Stop been lazy and use search, read and learn.

I will have a try.
Try looking in phils recovery thread. I'm pretty sure there is an all in one package to root and install recovery that is flashed with odin. Just make sure you always flash the correct version, don't flash anything for the n7100 just the n7105 and you'll be fine

You also have the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 toolkit... That's what I used the first time I unlocked/rooted/changed recovery of my phone... It's quite complete and basically does all the hard work for you... After rooted you have lots of ways of doing the same thing...

Here's a pearl of wisdom...don't take the advice of a guy with 8 posts.
Oh yeah, read this thread, it might help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/help/to-event-soft-brick-disaster-t2838473
Deleting some key componets can soft brick your tab. Try to only debloat knox and apps you dont use such as sidesync, evernote, flipboard ect. Greenify works well too. Or nextime dont delete them freeze then first. I would wait till battery dies or follow the thread above and rebbot into odin and flash ur rom.
download stock firmware and reflash with odin.
next time. make a backup when you want to do something crazy like that... hehehe...
oh anyway... you can force power down your device. just push vol down button+power button together. it will shutdown.
and don't panic...that makes you do really bad things also...sometimes walk away from it ,and come back fresh(coming from a guy who has a low post count)

And this is why, ladies and gentleman, OEMs go through great lengths to lock down their devices and we can't have nice things.
OP, you need to flash a stock image through Odin. Make sure you find the EXACT model number for your Tab so you can get the correct image file.
Download Odin here.
I agree with the others flash Stock Firmware via odin and yor good to go it will be as if you just bought your tablet. Do more research before you start tinkering with your own device. Or just flash a well established Developers rom

Just Bought Op3

I would've posted links but it's not so simple on app, also if you can't be bothered to search and read on complex topics, which might result in you destroying your expensive phone, maybe you shouldn't be undertaking them.
What's wrong with today's society is people expect everything handed to them on a plate, with little or Jo effort on their part.

+1. I agree. People can't be expected to be spoon fed all the time. Just search it! It's that simple.
What else could we expect from a user (OP) whose nickname seems mispelled?

Could an installed firmware contain a malware/spyware?

Hello guys, I just bought a used samsung galaxy s9 device.
Everything was good until I checked the IMEI, it showed a different device. I tried to do a software update, but it said "Your phone's operating system has been modified in an unauthorized wa. Try updating using smart switch on your computer.
My guess is that they installed a custom firmware and changed the IMEI so that sim card can work in the country I am at.
My concern now is can this installed firmware contain a virus or a spyware of some sort? I need to put my main gmail into this phone and install google authenticator. I am afraid people could have access to my privacy and information.
Please let me know if thats possible and if I can check if its safe or not.
Thanks
