Can someone share how to voice type.

You need the Google search app and Gboard (both preinstalled and working, if you didn't disable them).
In Gboard there should be the Mic button, near the spacebar (if not present, go to Gboard settings and enable the Mic button). When you press that button you can talk and Google will write your words.

It's not that difficult learning to use Google to do some research on your own...
Settings app > System > Languages & input > Virtual keyboard > Gboard > Preferences > enable "Voice input key"

Hey all,
ICS has a built in spelling correction that looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
On my xperia arc with official ICS there is an option in the menu to turn the spelling correction on, but it seems like it lacks dictionaries - the result is that it's not working. Any idea how to fix this? I know CM9 has this working properly.
Play around with the settings... in keyboard etc. and if not just download another keyboard.apk or something
That keyboard is from the store I believe, I've got the same one that I took from CM.

This spell checking is an ICS feature that has nothing to do with keyboard. On cm9 I was using swiftkey and had this spellcheck, yet swiftkey itself does not include this feature. Even the option in the menu to enable this spellchecking is outside of keyboard options.

I have this issue too. I've tried changing the spelling correction to various system languages as well as the custom list of languages and none work. It is completely separate to the keyboard in a setting called "spelling correction". But there's only one choice "android correction" and i can find a way to install other options to choose instead of this broken version.

I can't find option to enable vibration in settings for samsung keyboard.
At first photo i only have system sounds, dont have system sounds and vibration like previous sam mobile.

yeah it's weird that native keyboard doesn't have vibration. if you use swiftkey or google keyboard then vibration works.
Even more weird thing is there is no haptic feedback for OS action. Not even long press.
There is no such option, but you can install another keyboard like the Google one and set the haptic feedback in there. It will only work with that keyboard though, and not the default Samsung keyboard.
Yea, i know but sam keyboard is for me better than google.

i think vibration is disabled because of the camera rattling issue. camera rattles ever so slightly whenever the phone vibrates. you can really tell with keyboard vibration enabled.
Just use Google Keyboard.

Google Keyboard does not solve it. You can set vibration on and set a length, but it will still not do it when using the keyboard.
Very weird since the phone does have vibrator though that goes off with notifications and calls.
In the Google keyboard settings do the following:
Settings->preferences->vibration strength on key press. You wanna set this to like 42/50 to match what it normally is/was like. But you can always set it higher or lower as you prefer. If this doesn't work, hate to tell you but your phone is broken.
The Text is appearing for 2 seconds and disappearing.
Here is a picure:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It is probably a setting from developer option, but they are all turned off.
I'm unable to factory reset after this text started appearing, neither does the TV have hard reset button.
Help would be appreciated.
It's sita P mode from service menu. You have to stand on contrast in advanced bright settings and type 9735 to get there.

It worked!
Thank you.
Just curious, what toggled it on? I don't think I did that.

Hi. I've been using the tablet for about 9 months, and bought it with the smart pen when I bought it. I've found it quite useful for note taking. However, something that annoys me is that the buttons' function can't be changed in the settings, and only do soemthing different in the Xiaomi Notes app. Is there any third party app/rom/way to change the buttons function?
Key Mapper, you can find it on Google Play Store.

Record a trigger, press one of the buttons and set a new action afterwards.

Hello, there are times when I am writing (with the xiaomi smart pen) and I go to the bottom line (on the left side of the screen - approximately in the space of about 3 to 4 cm on the left side), it does not work. It is expected to touch somewhere on the screen more in the middle of the screen, so that it recognizes the writing, and I can go back to writing at the beginning of the line. How can I solve?
