Is anything huawei really safe?
My crystal ball says no

Looks sketchy to me. Use pro teammt ru firmware database, it's a trusted and known place to get firmware files.

Can i flash the .200 firmware from this website onto my "generic LAM" international?
I have an "international" model that i believe is the LAM (Latin American Model) and i want to downgrade from .224 to .200 (for ivoryroott to backup DRM before bootloader unlocking) The only place i can find any .200 software is from the linked site below. I want to make sure its safe for me to follow this website and flash this firmware so has anyone used this website before? What gets me concerned is that at the end of the firmware file that you download to downgrade your phone, it has "_NCB" this makes me worry its for a particular model... I have plenty of experience with android and development but this is my first sony phone. Also, ive already checked XperiFirm and it doesnt have any software for any of our models BEFORE the .224 or .254 firmwares which i thought was weird.

Thank you guys for any help!
SOLVED: yes i can lol
Oh forgot to add that it is the 6853 model

Huawei MediaPad M2-A01w Wrong ROM Installed

Hi all new to the forum, looks like a great place to get help and support for android tablets and phones.
I have Huawei MediaPad M2-A01w. Great little tablet had it for the last 11 months or so with no problems at all
Yesterday i decided to do a clean install of the firmware and accidentally flashed the chinese rom meaning I have an app call HiApp instead of google play and youtube is the chinese version.
I have tried the western europe firmware (I'm in the UK) and it says Version Check failed. Software install failed. Incompatibilty with current version. Please download the correct update package.
Is there anyway I can recover this unit or is it bricked.
Regards
Hard to look up something. There is a chance going the way I described in my thread about the stock ROM for M2-A01L LTE variant, called dload variant.
But you'd need the appropriate ROM. The current one for your specific device would be M2-A01wV100R001C100B008CUSTC100D001. Unfortunately it is only available on a payed service portal, as are many stock ROMs nowadays.

There is a way to unbrick your tablet. Let me know if still interested.

bnd-l21 firmware on bnd-al10?

Sorry for the dumb Question but can i install the bnd-l21 on the bnd-al10 version?
Firmware bnd-l21 on bnd-al10 band?
Have the same thing going here. Have you figured out what's the deal with that? Ive went on a 2 day Google hunt and kinda gave up. If you have learned anything about it, please clue me in. Thank you.
I purchased an honor 7x from geekbuying and it was the bnd al10 phone but it is running the bnd l21 firmware so it must be possible. My concern is now around getting updates for the firmware as I haven't had any OTA updates whatsoever since purchasing the phone in December. I'm in the UK by the way.
I bought it from Amazon.in, but since no update after buy, still on B101, please help , model: BND-AL10
IN my device its written BND- AL10 as model, but here why telling as L-21/L-22 /L-34 whats the relation
My config: Honor 7X, Ram 4GB, Rom: 32 GB
Has anybody tried to stuff an updated AL10 or L21 software on this from the Firmware Finder APP? I have the same thing, L21***B101 inside an AL10 device. No effin' update whatsoever since crap knows when.
Looks like you guys need to get in touch with huawei/honor website(hihonors). Let them know the software's wrong for your model. Maybe they can look up your model by serial no.

I already posted there long ago and not a single response was produced.
Also
I also purchased the BND-L21 from China (Aliexpress) (says AL10 on tag but L21 internal) and no updates. I asked Aliexpress about the difference between AL10 and L21. They said they converted my phone from the AL10, Chinese version to the L21 international version so I guess they're identical. I contacted Huawei and they said I would be getting an update over the next couple months and to check for it every few days. Even though I've only had the phone a short time, I'm very impatient to get the update. Does anyone know where to manually get it?
Full firmware is not available from my knowledge

I think that the full firmware is not still available to download for Honor 7X (I saw many guys complaining about it in the community). If the full firmware is available it will be possible to flash your device.

On the contrary, I contacted Huawei support and they told me that the seller altered the software. They said that the seller installed a custom-ROM on my phone that's why it's not getting an update. The AL-10 model is only for China. I'm finding it hard to believe though. That the seller will alter this software.
What about your phone packet?

Was the packet opened when you got the device in hand?
Yes
Yes, my phone package had been opened. I asked Aliexpress about that and they said they needed to do that to replace the A10 (chinese) version with the L21 (international) version.
I found a site online where I can get the files to do a manual update. They won't let me post the link here (yet). If I don't get an automatic update within the next week or two I may go ahead with this. I really want the gyroscope to work!

Did you tried it already?
Also, I was playing with huawei firmaware finder app. And found Oreo update there but checksum wont match. But when I changed phone version to some other AL-10 it said checksum matches phone. Is it safe to proceed? Did anyone tried that?

Question Flashing ROM on Fold 3 - chinese to australian

One of our Chineese suppliers has gifted me a New Fold 3. The issue is the stock Chinese Rom, or rather the restrictions that come with it (nerfing most google based services, and apps i use all the time.). The device is great but restrictions applied give you a feeling of a second class android user, with core sevices absent: Play store, youtube, gmail, maps, chrome, android auto., can't even apporve family link download requests from kids. etc. etc.
I have made the choice i would rather go back to my S21 if i can't resovle this issue, as phone is useless like this.
Advice required on Loading Australian Rom via odin.
The phone model is: SM-F9260 which only seems to have overseas Rom available for download. Can i successfully load a ROM made for model SM-F926B (Australian) on a SM-F9260?
All the how to guides specifically say jou must select the same model number, and i don't want a brick it. Will have mud on my face next time i see the supplier if i have bricked their gift to me.
Any feedback/advice from users with more experience with odin and flashing would be appreciated.
Both are on Snapdragon CPU so shouldn't be any problem to flash it with PIT over the Odin.
But I never done it so I can't give you 100% answer.

Update: The AU version gave me an Auth Failed in Odin. Chances i could have resovled by unlocking the Bootloader which i didn't want to risk tripping the e-fuse. I ended up just using the Taiwan version which had the identical model number, and falls in the same region as China. Odin flashed without complaint. The taiwan version has no restrictions on google services, and once you set the language its hard to tell it from a regular AU one; unless you know what you are looking for that is.

Technically there are ways, just it is very grey as to when/how you trip the e-fuse. Some say if you simply unlock the bootloader and restart, others say when you load a bootloader that doesn't match model numbers, or is older than your current, or isn't offical samsung one. I personally don't know exactly. I do however know that i didn't trip the e-fuse when i loaded the taiwan version, and i didn't have to unlock the bootloader in developer options to achevie this.

oh. Good to know. Just wondering..Did you trip your e-fuse? If so when did it happen? Did you try extracting the PIT file from the CSC and using the PIT tab in odin? with the re-parition option selected?

you won't have the chance to trip. there is some check before the boot image is integrated. so it failed showing some error, auth or secure check failed etc etc.
if you flash variant home csc you will trip
TBH, I consider the Chinese version is the best version above all other region. The dual sim is enable on Chinese version, 512GB is the only available option.
As for google service. You don't need to change the Chinese firmware to Australian to enable it, the GMS is pre-installed. All you need to do is to find a way to install the google series apps as apk by yourself, it would work just fine.

BTW, the only version that Chinese region Fold 3 can change is the HongKong firmware, all other regions are not available. If you use Chinese region Fold 3 in Australia, the only thing you need to concern is the Samsung Pay, but Samsung Pay is fixed by the region and cannot be changed by switching the regional firmware.

Each to their own, if you like the chinese version great. I hated it, restrictions in every aspect of the firmware. I personally am unsure how you rate the chinese version better, when it is loaded with restrictions and hard coded settings that can't be changed, or if they can it is really a sub par workaround. Settings that are not present in standard android builds. What exactly does it have extra that makes it better? If you like it thou that is all that matters.
I loaded the taiwan version which yes is really just the hong kong version. No restrictions, no issues. Now it works just like any other standard samsung android build, you get in AU. Yes samsung pay that use the firmware version doesn't work great, but i prefer google pay anyway. No need to stuff around with downloading apk files from third party sites, for core functions. No need to even enable developer tools.
The chinese version sounds like driving a ferrari on a go karting track.....
Can you flash the Chinese or any international dual sim version to work in the US ?

i need help with my huawei mediapad m6 10.8

Hello all, I have a problem with my tablet Huawei MediaPad M6 10.8,
I cannot update the tablet to Harmony OS, I have tried literally all the methods on the Internet, and no method worked for me.
Finally, I formatted it, it may be the solution, but unfortunately, even formatting was not the solution.
The device model is (SCM-AL09) and it works with the latest version (11.0.0.185),
What frustrated me the most is the lack of a device section in the forum haha, please help
Me too ,,if you know any way or if we can grab the update file and update manually

It's bad, I didn't expect to regret my purchase of the device compared to its price at the time with the features it offers, and now, I started to feel very disappointed and knew that whatever the specifications and whatever the price, I would not buy anything except from a popular brand and a wide community.
It's not what you get for the price, it's what you get after you buy it, which is support, whether from the community or otherwise.
Still! No way to update it or I'f anyone can grab update file and annually update it
