I have rooted Razer Phone oreo 8.1 with TWRP/MAGISk17. I can pair the phone to the head-unit but i cannot get any sound when playing video or anything.
Please any idea how to fix this?

I noticed this M8 post regarding bluetooth in call volume with a Hyundai i30 (same stable as Kia Sportage)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/low-volume-via-car-bluetooth-audio-t2913015
Interestingly I have exactly the same issue with my new M9 with Kia Sportage Sat Nav unit which is probably the same as (or similar) to the i30 unit in the first post. Have latest firmware installed in the car sat nav.
As stated, both streaming of radio/music is fine! As for the end of call beep, very loud!
Sony Xperia Z2 and Samsung Note 4 was fine in same car.
Very annoying indeed
Anyone else had this issue, found a fix or can suggest something to try?
Thank you

I have the same problem. Have bluetooth volume up max on the phone and the car system up max too but it's too quiet to hear anyone in the car if i'm moving at speed.
I imagine the fix will involve rooting and installing a volume fix / mod but never had much luck with BT volume on mod's personally in the past.
I too suffer from a really low in-call volume while using BT.
1. I've now re-updated my head unit with latest firmware
2. Remove my device from the head unit
3. In addition, removed "Sportage" from the phone BT devices
4. Rebooted the phone
5. Turned off the ignition and waited for the head unit to power down
Re-did the whole BT pairing exercise and touch wood, audio is louder ....... but the end call beep is still way too loud!
Hi. I have a Nexus 5x with the latset Android O preview image.
Since I started to test this preview I have noticed that there is a problem with audio to my Kenwood car audio.
With Android 7.1.2 there was no problem. When i start my car the phone connects to the car audio via bluetooth and when I try for exempel Spotify there will come sound with no problem.
Now, when I try this with android O there will come no audio. The only fix for this is if I open up developer-settings and change soundcodec for bluetooth to SBC. Then the there will be sound from the car audio.
Ok, so now I have the fix for the problem. But this is only temporary. Everytime I leave the car and come back I will have to do the same change in the settings.
So, is there a way for me to change this for good? Like change a configfile or similar?
Do anyone know where the info is saved? If so I geuss I could try to change it that way and save the info.
Hope you have understood the problem and that my Swedish SchoolEnglish was understandable...

This is know issue on Android O. Google has already mentioned this in Bugs list or the release.
If you need Bluetooth audio, you should go back to Nougat.
Well. I know it's an known issue. Thats not the question. The question was if anyone knows how to make the settings permanent for the bluetooth audio codec.

I have a similar problem with my Moto 360 Gen 2 running Android wear 2.0
I do the initial setup and everything works great, but if the watch disconnects from the phone because of distance or whatever, it will start prompting for the PIN to re-pair, but it rarely works. I usually have to factory reset the watch, forget the watch in the Android Wear app and start over.
Hi everyone,
i tried to search this here and in another websites but i didn't managed to solve. As i make an update on my MI 9 SE i can't use bluetooth with my car radio. in particular bluetooth pair with the car bluetooth system(VW Tiguan MY2012, BT premium) but i can't make any call from the radio. i can listen music via bluetooth. One month ago i temporary solved this by making a factory reset of the phone but after le last update the situation became the same. Before the reset i tried using developer options changing the BT audio LDAC codec from VBR to best quality and it was ok but after a while all returned back.
Can anyone help me?
thanks
Hi everyone!
When connect my phone to car radio pioneer mvh-s300bt via Bluetooth phone set automatically sbc codec. I have latest radio firmware, so AAC worked correctly on android 8.1. After update to 9.0 work only with SBC. When i try change it in developer options, setting are constantly return to SBC codec. I feel different between this codec and it is little annoying for my ears.
Please, help how can i fix it.
Of course, xiaomi developers doesn't read any notification from users, so i must do it on one's own.
Thanks for help.
No solution so far, afaik.
Facing the same problem, Mercedes 2019 and Volvo 2019 both default to SBC.
YouTube is out of sync when streaming via A2DP, video is lagging, audio working fine.
Stock MIUI 8.1 was even worse, playback was slow and distorted.
Hi guys, hoping you can assist...I've had an Xtrons unit installed in my Audi TT for about a year now. One day as I was driving, I was listening to music from my phone via A2DP. Midway I switched my phone to my bluetooth headphones so I could listen on those in one ear. It seems the phone stayed paired to the head unit but the music was coming through the earpiece fine, no sound off the headunit.
Ever since that day, I've had no sound coming out of the head unit at all. I've done a factory reset, unpaired any bluetooth devices, and just tried listening to radio, but no sound comes out at all. I thought maybe the amp fuse was blown so checked that and it isnt that. I've pulled the unit forward and no cables are loose
I've contacted Xtrons to try and see if there's a new firmware in the hope that will fix it. My current build is shown below.
px5-userdebug 8.0.0 OPR5.170623.007 eng.hct.20181206.171300 test-keys
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm hoping its a software issue and something didnt blow inside the unit itself. Everything else works fine, just no sound
