I wanted to go back to miui 9 or 10 beta without bricking my device. How can I do that? I was thinking about downloading recovery rom and flashing them thru' twrp. But, i read some threads here and there saying that devices can get bricked this way. Right now I am on havoc os oreo and dragon twrp.

Hi guys, I'm currently on the Experience ROM and for some odd reason, I cannot get back to stock OS. Either the Beta or the official releases. I tried sideloading through ADB with stock and twpr but both fail to do so, I get an error saying cannot load then the zip name. If I flash stock OS via team win, it just constantly reboots into recovery and never actually loads the OS. As of right now, I can only get experience ROM to run. Not sure what to do at this point or what I'm doing wrong. Pls halp.
Use the mega unbrick guide thats in the forum.
If you need help with that we can do some kind of remote session.
You might have a problem with the adb version. Get latest version from android developer's website
Wipe System, Data, all the crapp then flash it if it still boots into recovery then flash the stock one. If it boots fine u can flash back twrp.
Also did u change to f2fs and what version of twrp r u on
Hi all, I updated to the latest firmware to install Lineage 15.1. But after installing it I wanted to go back to MIUI so I restored a previous made backup with TRP. It is stuck in a loop it never gets out. I can install Lineage 15.i again so m phone isn't bricked, but i just want to go back to MIUI which I can't. Even a fresh installed MIUI rom will not load anymore, and so wont my backup as I mentioned. What is the case here. There must be something I am missing.
Save that backup on you HDD and try with older TWRP e.g. 3.2.1.0, since I don't know if flashing diff TWRP will damage that backup.

Maybe MIUI wont flash using latest TWRP 3.2.1.1
P.S. Fastbook method always works but you lose twrp and get stuck with clean MIUI, so whole process with custom bootloaders needs to be done from the start.
With my Redmi 3 I had the same problem. Putting it into Fastboot mode and running the MI Unlock again made it boot like normal again. Literally with the new firmware and no issues whatsoever afterwards.
thanks all. ill try!
Hello everyone,
I tried to change the ROM of my phone for Lineage OS but since I flash it with twrp I'm stuck on fastboot.
I tried to do the
fastboot devices then reboot it's still stuck and twrp freeze when I'm trying to boot with the .img
I'm out of solution can someone help me please ?
:crying:
PS : my bootloader is unlocked
Flash stock rom via miflasher and stay on stock. Twrp doesnt stable for pie, I had to go to stock last week - RR twrp update destroy everything.
I have no power to install custom rom again and again. Stock rom and magisk are enough.

Totaly agree with you magisk and stock, is so customisable you dont really need a custom rom, although pixel experience sounds nice, i went and got an upgrade with a second carrier to pixel 3a, not impressed at all, and cant customise it cause of carrier locked for 6 months
Hey everyone! I'm sort of new to the whole custom recovery thing and while I know that there is a whole post concerning TWRP and Pixel 2XL, I would love if someone could take the time to explain, and maybe help me get it working on my phone.
BTW the reason I want to get a custom recovery is so I can flash a custom rom as Pixel OS just isn't cutting it for me anymore.
Here's what I know:
I am currently on an unlocked phone that is rooted on android 10. I heard that android 10 totally screwed up TWRP and makes it impossible to install after updating. Is that true? If so, is it possible for me to factory reset my phone to android 9 and then install TWRP after the fact? Or, have I totally screwed myself by updating to android 10? I know that I could just ask these questions on the other thread but it confuses me a lot and it would help if I could just get some clear answers.
TWRP works fine on Android 10. I would update to the latest update of Android(which is the August update for right now). Then copy any files( TWRP.zip and what ever Rom.zip) to your phone. Boot into bootloader and run the fastboot commands to boot into TWRP. Wipe data on your phone within TWRP and then proceed to flash the rim followed by TWRP.
Make sure you add the installer zip to the flashing queue when flashing a ROM or you'll get stock recovery again.
Hi, I'm not very experienced when it comes to this stuff, and seeing the threads here left me confused as to what is the best course of action to install an android 12 rom.
I already have my bootloader unlocked, and I have the twrp 3.4 img as well as the AospExtended 9.0 zip, but some users advise against TWRP. Should I just install this rom by booting into twrp (and how exactly would i do that)? I'm on stock android 10.
