Hi.
I'm trying some new ROM's with Topaz/Rhodium stuff.
I have a big doubt/question: the new notification manager!!! It got's a big problem...
When I've got a new notification the "snooze" is standard: 5 min.
I whant back the possible to "snooze" for 5 min - 10 min - 30 min etc... How it was before... no suggest???
I tried to watch in the registry but I don't find no key...

Try this: when you receive a notification, open the notification manager and click on it! It should then close the Notification manager, open up a small window with the notification on the bottom of the screen and here, when you click on snooze I believe a pop-up menu will show up with more snooze options.
Are you sure??? It doesn't look, for me, that it works like that... I've already got the "notification" on the bottom of my screen... and when I tap on "snooze" I don't get no popup menù...

You want to stay with it or you want the old notification screens?
I want to snooze how I say!!...if to do that I have to reverse to the old notification version: ok. If it's possible have it on the new notification: it's ok too...
also really missing this option...
stupid thing is , that the new notification manager can do it.
i got a reminder that my (testbuild 6.5) was about to expire in a month..that one stated reminder on top ...and i could snooze it for 5,10,30,60,1day..
in the new manager style and all......
Hey mate,to fix your snooze options you can try the cab cRaCKwHoRe made in this link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3716251&postcount=2280
Beware though it will mess up with the popup windows from the notifications though(nothing really important, they will just change looks to the old windows style instead of manila)
Cheers
thanks!!!!!
That really helps a lot......
Thanks for this trick
it works fine
Hi,
Is it possible to display alarm and meeting (from calendar) notifications on a desktop and not in the Notifications window?
Why I'm asking is: to turn off the alarm I need to tap a small area on the top to access the Notifications Window and only then to stop the alarm. This operation takes time and wakes up all my family. Because it's hard to tap a small bar on the top then you just woke up.
Maybe I'm wrong, but in the stock ROM all the notifications pops up on the main screen. Is it so or not?
What are my options??
- Is it possible to customize the way alarms pop up in Topaz/Rhodium based ROMs (in my case Dutty's)?
- Or should I search for a third party Alarm Clock which would display huge SNOOZE and DISMISS buttons on the main screen?
Thanks
I use Galarm. It integrates into TF3D so your next alarm is displayed on the home screen. When the alarm goes off it's a full screen alarm, no little notifications in the task bar.

Wow.. greate application!
Thanks!
Glad I could help!
Btw.
v2.0 was just released and it's not free anymore!!! It requires registration code. Otherwise - trial will end by the end of this month
5€ is not that much.
Anyway.. I have half a month to test the app and make sure that it really satisfies my needs.
Thanks for the info! This app has been working perfectly for me so I haven't even looked for any updates. I'll be upgrading to 2.0 as soon as possible to help support this great app!
Regards
When I set the alarm there are two icons in the notification bar, one far left and another next to the wifi wedge. Why is this? It upsets my OCD!

Are you using the stock clock app? If so how far out is the alarm? On the stock alarm app if you are within 2 hours of a set alarm you will get a notification so that you can dismiss it early if you wish.
It was both of those, to remind me to watch a TV show later that evening. Maybe that's why I've not noticed it before. Cheers for the explanation.
Title says it all, I am using the default alarm app (clock). I have toggled alarm on and off, issue remains. It is strange because as a test, I turned off alarm from default app and set alarm with a 3rd party app (timely, which stopped working after pie update) and it shows 1 alarm icon on the right as it was before December update. Anyone else on Dec update using clock as their alarm see same behavior?
Edit: Forgot to mention, I am on stock rooted rom with substratum pitch black theme by Altan krk, this has been my setup for a very long time.
Edit 2: After swiping down status bar and clearing notifications, the alarm icon on the left disappeared!?!? ?
Edit 3: As the time approaches close to the alarm, a upcoming alarm shows up in notifications (see post below), the 2nd alarm icon appears as long as the notification is active, annoying but not as much as a constant 2nd alarm icon.
Upcoming alarm notification.
Perhaps I should open a new post instead, but I have a similar issue and the same steps do not resolve my issue.
Whenever I have any alarm at all turned on, I am getting an icon in the upper right near the network signal. This one does not matter whether it's set to go off in 5 minutes or 6 days, it's always there as long as I have an alarm enabled. I have cleared notifications but it still remains. The only thing I have been able to find to clear it is turning off the alarm/s.
When I have an alarm coming up soon, I get the icon on the left side of the notification bar. This one I am used to and is how I expect things to work, and I'm fine with this icon.
I just want the always-there-icon on the right hand side to be gone! So frustrating! I feel like this has just started showing up in the last 2-3 weeks.
I am on a completely stock Pixel 2XL from Verizon. Anyone else with the same thing?

All of my android phones have always displayed the alarm icon on right, as far as I know that is the correct behavior. What you want (alarm set with no icon at all) was able to be done on Oreo with system UI tuner, that is not available in Pie. Unless you root, which isn't possible since you have a Verizon Pixel, I don't think there's much you can do.
AFAIK,
Left hand side: The alarm notification will pop up when the time gets close to when the alarm is set for.
To hide: Long press on the notification itself, it should give you the option to hide it.
Right hand side: On Pie, I had to install a 3rd party launcher to access the System Tuner UI. This will allow you to chose what system icons appear on the notification bar.
To hide: A quick google search will provide the steps necessary. Basically, you use a 3rd party launcher to create a shortcut to System Tuner UI.
These are the steps I found on reddit:
"1. Download QuickShortCutMaker
2. In the search bar (in the app) type in "Demo Mode"
3. Click on the "System UI" option
4. Click on the "System UI demo mode" option that appears after clicking on "System UI"
5. Click the "Try" button
6. There you go, you can now access the system UI tuner again, without having to install nova launcher"
Hope that helps!

Glad to hear it! Not bad for my first informational post :highfive:
Notification icons just flash for 2 seconds in top left corner then disappear. I've turned off all battery optimization but problem persists. I'm referring to top left corner of the screen where notification icons are visible in other phones.
I think it ist the Same Problem that the Mi 9 and Note 7 Had too.

Thanks. They've disabled notification for all apps by default. Under notification settings there's 'app settings' and one has to enable notification for each app individually including message app. Notification Led working now but icons still don't stay on top left corner for long. On further reading most Mi phones with notch & running Miui 10 have/had this issue.

Heard that this issue should be fixed in MIUI 11 so they persist in the top left like stock Android.

Use Nots in Notch app for persistent notification icons. Have been using since note 7.
