How long have you left it connected to AC for?
Maybe leave it for a few hours to ensure it is 100% charged first, try different USB ports on the PC to see if you have one (USB3.0) with higher power output

That's the bootloader error, you need a bootloader firmware equal to or higher than the version the phone is running (B:1 or B:2 in download mode)
And firmware shows BL version here

Apparently in rooting and such, I flashed the wrong firmware. Now the phone wont even boot up. I can get into download mode, but when I push the up arrow, it says "Downloading, Do Not Turn Off Target". It doesn't recognzie it in Odin either. What can I do to get it back working? Please help!!

I'm sure you've already thought of this but just to confirm. Did you try switching the usb port? Did you try re-installing drivers on your machine?
Yes, if you can get into download mode you're good (the screen that says downloading, do not turn off)
Make sure that you have drivers installed as above said, use the usb that came with the phone, try another computer with the Odin for SGSIII...it should work. Then just put the stock root file (taken from the no trip root thread) here in the PDA section and hit start.

1. You must be confused because you didn't brick it at all. The fact that the phone responds at all means it is recoverable.
2. You need to have drivers to get Odin to recognize it. You also need to use the rear USB ports and make sure that you are using the stock USB cable to ensure that it works. Try other USB ports if you have to, in Download mode it WILL enumerate in Odin.
3. After it registers/enumerates in Odin, flash what you need to flash. Rooted stock, whatever.
i am trying to root my phone tonight while i still have use of this computer. I have downloaded chainfire with the odin and the tar file. I have also gotten into developer mode and checked usb dsebugging. the next step in the instructions I am reading (which is 2 by the way) but when I go into security I have no option to turn off reactivation lock. is there something I am missing. Thanks

If you have an SM-N900T, you don't have reactivation lock as far as I know. I couldnt find the option in mine, so I went ahead without it. I think its in the International version.
i have downloaded odin 3.7 and CF-Auto-Root-hltetmo-hltetmo-smn900t.tar.md5 file fofor rooting. the first time tt said pass but on my phonne on the top I had 3 messages in different colors saying something about warranty, and a couple other things. Try Odin flashing the CF-AutoRoot TAR file again, it should work fine,
and welcome to the very exclusive KNOX club. LOL
After flashing with odin you need to flash custom recovery like twrp or cwm.
Good luck!

please help me!! clearly i am more of a noob than I thought I was!
I rooted my phone using Odin a few months ago. Then it just crapped out on me. Now it is stuck in a boot loop mode. I can get it to recovery mood and download mode. I have tried wiping the cache partition and done the factory rest. That isn't the issue. The issue is that when I have Odin open the phone isn't being recognized. it keeps saying "USB device not recognized. the last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it". I have tried reinstalling the drivers for my Sprint S6. I have also updated the media package for my windows 8.1. But it still isn't recognizing the phone. I also tried un instaling and reinstalling. I have smart switch but still nothing. I am not entirely sure how to fix this. Please Help!! Also, in the top left hand corner where it says "kernal is not seandriod enforcing. custom binary blocked by frp lock"
I've exhausted everything best to my knowledge. I appreciate all the help I can get from you experts. Thank all in advance from this tech noob!

Geez... that sucks, and disappointing no one has replied yet.
I hate to reply with a few of the obvious tricks- but it has happened multiple times to me that my phone won't be recognized by ODIN (or anything other than as "charging"). Usually this is solved by switching to other USB ports, and plugging-unplugging a few times, but when that fails (which it does not infrequently)- I have gotten lucky by not just restarting my computer, but actually turning it off, waiting a moment and turning it back on.
Magically sometimes that does it.
Hope that works for you, and that others more senior weigh in on this :good:
I second what spammy said.
I just spent 6 hours fixing my Sprint s6. I got it domestic unlocked and somehow near-bricked it, and then got the dreaded usb not recognized message. Shutting my laptop all the way down and letting it sit a few minutes did the trick and I was able to use Odin afterwards.
update!!
so, i got it to connect by just lifting the tongue a little. It connected to Odin. I tried to flash it using the TAR file but it keeps saying failed. Can anyone tell me why it says "custom binary blocked by frp lock" and how to fix that ? I know I have to connect it to samsung online or something but the phone is stuck in boot loop mode so I cant really do much. Like I said before I tried to flash with the 5.0.2 TAR file and ended up with the following message at the top left and corner in red and black highlight "SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 2. BINARY: 1" what does this mean? is there a fix? and how do I fix it? my phone is already factory rest and I lost everything so I am not concerned about that as long as I can get it to turn back on. Please help me.

Where you previously on 5.1.1? If so I hear downgrading causes problems. Download a more recent tar.
Mine is 5.1.1 OL1 modem.

Sounds like your USB is a bit out of wack. You need to make sure that the PC you are using is finding the device properly, loading the drivers, and allowing you to access the internal storage. Just go to "My Computer" on your PC and your device should show up and allow you to access it. Otherwise trying to use Odin will be a waste of your time.
Once you have that Odin should find it no problem. However, if your microUSB on the device is acting intermittent and you start flashing in Odin and it disconnects for a sec there will be issues. You don't want an interrupt during the flash.
If you can do all this go to this link and download Odin 3.10.6 and the OJ7 tar file: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s6/general/how-to-to-100-stock-root-t3075448
Don't use previous version of Odin as they are confirmed to have issues flashing some tar files on the S6. If it doesn't work try doing another factory reset through stock recovery and try again.
Report back your findings to continue troubleshooting if needed.
Thank you! progress/update

I have not used the 3.10.7 version yet but should not be a problem.
Download the tar file, connect the device and make sure Odin shows the device as connected/ready, hit the AP button and select your tar file, then flash and let finish. Then it will reboot automatically and boot up normally.
Try this and post your findings.

nothing wrong with rooting if you know what you're doing. ?

Samsung SM-T800 is basically a paperweight.
Out the outset, let me just say that I have already:
-voided my warranty and tripped KNOX (it was rooted before all of this happened)
-Tried different USB ports and USB cables
-Tried different USB drivers
My PC won't recognize it, and I have tried Universal Drivers, and Samsung USB drivers, which means Odin and ADB can't help
I can only boot into download mode
When I tr to boot into recovery, I get the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" message
And to add insult to injury, I can't even turn the damned thing off. Every "battery pull" (Power+Volume down) leads back to "Firmware upgrade encountered an error" message
I have been wrestling with this thing for 2 days already, scouring these forums. And every one ends with "Oh I just reloaded my stock ROM with Odin" ARGHHHHH!
Thanks in advance
OK I'm gonna start off by saying I'm trying to help you. If you get smart and angry then I'll leave you to it.
Why am I saying this? Because I've been down this road many times with people saying this that and the other doesn't work when in the end in most cases it turns out to be user error and I can tell you're frustrated.
I've read your post regarding what you've tried but you're still gonna have to bear with it if you want help.
The first thing I need to ask is, you know the difference between download mode and recovery mode? No I'm not trying to treat you like an idiot.
Sometimes the firmware error can be cleared by booting to recovery and wiping cache.
How did you end up in this scenario?
If the above doesn't work the first thing you need to do is put the tablet in download mode.
Connect the USB cable, navigate to device manager, look for something along the lines of Samsung mobile USB composite device under USB devices.
If you see an exclamation mark instead then you will have to manually install the USB composite driver.
Once you see that device listed you are ready to use odin in download mode.

First of all, thanx for the reply. I appreciate, and i probably shouldn't have written the post after being up all night and bieng pissed...probably came off a little snarky...
Having said all of that, yeah, I'm definitely in download mode:
(on screen right now)
ODIN MODE
Product Name: SM-T800
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Official
Secure Download: Enabled
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 1 (0x0000)
AP SWREV: A1
[Picture of Android icon]
Downloading...Do not turn off target
So, that bit is sorted out
UPDATE: I did not have my SD card in the tablet before...now I put it in and I got the "USB devices not recognized"
I go to Device Manager, find the device with the yellow exclamation, right click,
"Update driver software"
"Browse computer for driver software:
Navigate to "Program Files/Samsung/USB Drivers"
The best software for your device is already installed
Any suggestions?
And again, apologies for sounding like a jerk before
"
UPDATE 2
OK, so I took another swig at it..
downloaded "Samsung USB Driver V1..5.59"
Rebooted
Opened ODIN
[Added]
Started reinstaling firmware
[Removed]
ODIN lost connection and I got the "USB device not recognized message" again
Used a cpl different ports, no change
I am wondering if maybe it is a battery issue at this point? Because as I stated before, I havent been able to turn the tablet off...
Either it is in download mode, or it is in "FIrmware upgrade encountered an issue" on screen
Thanks in advance

OK this looks like you have the driver installed so you shouldn't have the exclamation mark in device manager.
You can however install the driver manually.
Right click the device with exclamation mark, choose browse my computer, let me pick from a list of drivers. Look for Samsung Mobile CDC composite device, click next.
Driver should now install.
There are several reasons for the USB not recognized error. Most common is a bad USB cable, bad USB port or driver conflicts.
Ensure the ports are native and not an add-on card.
I suggest a completely different cable first.
Whatever happens don't move the device or cable when flashing.
Also get some charge in the device with the stock charger.
If you still get issues installing the stock Firmware then I suggest trying to install my latest build of TWRP.
With this we have more options and can install the stock Firmware with it.
Thanks for response
Ok, I used a totally different laptop and ODIN worked fine, I dunno what the deal was...but now i have a different problem...
I seem to be stuck in a "Wifi Turning on..." loop
The Wifi never comes on though
I have seen other posts about this, but they all seems to come back to " factory reset" (which I did two more times today) or verify the date on the device (which I have also done)
Is it possible to download a radio image ONLY? Because I am wondering if that is the problem....

Most likely a baseband issue.
You need to use the correct firmware for your device and region.
Did you flash the whole firmware?
Yeah, downloaded the whole firmware
Couldn't find version for USA proper...ended up using XEF (which is France I think)
Build number LRX22G.T800XXU1BOCC (Lollipop)

USA is XAR(Cellular South)

Ah, I didn't think I should use that one since my tablet is the WiFi model, not the LTE model
But I will give it a shot!
Thanks!

Ah. The "Cellular South" part threw me off
Unfortunately, still didn't work as far as getting the WiFi and Bluetooth working.
I refrlashed the firmware
Did a cpl factory resets
Still nothing
I'm thinking I should root it and see if some file permissions are screwed up or something. ..
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using XDA-Developers mobile app
UPDATE: I rooted with CF AutoRoot and installed Custom recovery TWRP
did another factory reset
and still no Wifi/Bluetooth
I'm out of ideas at this point....

Did the wifi work before you obtained this device?
If all partitions flashed successfully then the wifi should be working.
What is your baseband build number reported as in settings?
Also check your IMEI no.
If that is the default IMEI instead of the original then someone may have trashed the EFS partition.
By the way are you certain this is a t800 and not a t805 or t807?
The Wifi went out a few days ago, tried a factory reset first
Then I remembered the last time this happened I did a firmware re-flash to fix it
It was during the re-flash where I ran into problems and I came to the forum.
I attached a screenshot. Model definitely SM-T800, but no IMEI and no Baseband build...
Thanks!

Baseband probably doesn't show because it's wifi only model.
However it's strange there is no Status page.
You can get this info using an app called Samsung phone info on play.

Ironically, with no WIfi access...hahahahaa....
I will try to find the apk and sideload it
I sideloaded the Samsung phone info app...
Attached screenshots of the tablet info
What's immediately apparent is no IMEI number. This is a problem.
Is your EFS folder accessible?
After looking online for solutions, I cannot get my device to boot up. It started when I tried to flash CM when it failed (BTW I used flashboot since my recovery couldn't work) Then I tried flashing the stock rom again but it did not work so I factory reset and my device couldn't boot and it would boot into recovery. I used adb to try to reflash firmware but it would always say remote permission denied I tried AFT but that screwed up everything. I couldn't use recovery and I only had access to bootloader. I then tried to reflash recovery, fastboot, and boot img and now my phone cannot access bootloader!:crying: I also tried xFSTK but it always returned with a fail. I deleted my only backup as it couldn't restore in CWM flashboot so now I'm stuck with a phone that cannot boot and would always loop the ASUS logo. My device model is ZE551ML. It was rooted prior to this.
UPDATE: My phone cannot turn on after flashing again with xFSTK. It only has a black screen even with hours of charging.
UPDATE 2:xFSTK has installed FW...... used wrong gp override value with 5 zeros instead of 4...
UPDATE 3: Used ADB to flash files onto phone and the phone is erasing with Android bot and reboots. Phone now works!
Did you try this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3452785

xFSTK what error it gives? does it give storage programmer error?
I have tried every method. As I said above, xFSTK and ASUS Flash Tools do not work since I cannot access bootloader and xFSTK does not work

Where are the logs located? Also, Since I do not have the hanging wire (had one but solved it), it does not install the os since it keeps trying to connect to the device.

try using ifwi from latest stock MM firmware if fails then charge your device for few hours. then open back cover and remove battery connector. place some small paper connector so it does not make any connection. now keep it like this for few days. after 5 days try again you will solve continue to os waiting for device issue

Could you provide a link to the MM bin files? Also, my model is the ZE551ML so I cannot get into the battery. I can stop it from looping but it just turns off.

Thanks for the link So how do I flash the bin files? xFSTK disconnect from my phone when it tries to flash the OS.
EDIT: After flashing, the phone cannot turn on. I don't know if it is because of the firmware flash. I will charge the phone for a couple of hours.

if you are disconnected at os download even with above fwimage file. then charge it for few hours and then remove the battery connector and leave it for few days as long as you have patience 5 to 7 days. and then try again

Actually, it turns on again after disconnecting from xFSTK not because of battery. Im starting to believe that it is dead.

Not dead yet I used the wrong value by an extra zero. Now charging up my device to make sure it will boot into bootloader!
