[Q] Magisk on this tablet? - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Wondering if Magisk root works on this device? Don't see many threads in the search that answers this question

up until Magisk v16.x and a magisk Manager lower than 17.0 it works for me. installing v17.x or v18.x of magisk itself results in bootloops for me.
also it doesn't matter if i install a high version right away or if I upgrade the 16.x install.
also Magisk manager 17+ will not work with magisk lower than magisk v17

I run latest Magisk (18.1) on my T805 running Resurrection Remix Rom ver 5.8.5 (see [ROM][Tab S][NOUGAT]Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 [T700/T705/T800/T805][UNOFFICIAL][OTA] )
Works like a charm, everything without the fingerprint sensor (Does not work in any Nougat or above ROMS due to lack of appropriate drivers)

Note 2 help need

Need help i am using note 2 n7100
is there any user here who uses naugat 7.1.2 based custom rom. in which magisk safetynet bypass works fine ? please give me link to that rom tried viperos and xenonhd even Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 but no safetynet bypass worked
SafetyNet cannot pass using Magisk on any Nougat Rom for our device. In my testing, I've found that the problem is the kernels used do not have the necessary functionality for MagiskHide to start properly which means that the Su binary cannot be hidden. If you install Magisk and then check the Magisk log, you will find the following line: "proc_monitor: Your kernel doesn't support mount namespace". The only solution is for rom devs to backport mount namespace functionality.
If you need to pass SafetyNet, your only option at this stage is to use LineageSu + iSu.

Magisk & 9.0 GSI

Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone has had luck with successfully installing Magisk on android 9.0 gsi's?, so far what works is Magisk 16.7 on 8.1 GSI and Magisk 17.1 on stock. Magisk 17.1 seems to break Wifi & lte.
Magisk 17.1 worked on stock and 8.1 GSIs for me, but no luck with 9 although I didn't try too much as BT wasn't working on 9 either, with or without Magisk.
Peace
Did you ever manage to get this working?

Magisk 20.0

Is anyone using the latest version of Magisk on a custom rom? I just wanted to know if it has become stable.
Because the previous version (19.3) was bugged making phone unstable (basically the applications won't open)
Yes IAM using working fine.
In pixel Experience 10 ROM magisk 20 beta
How about on a custom Pie based rom? Did anyone try it?
