How to tell which firmware to select for your Pixel XL? - Google Pixel XL Questions & Answers

Hey guys!
Okay, so, I own a Pixel XL and was quick to update to Pie as soon as I saw the notification to update. Now, I want to downgrade back to Oreo 8.1 but I forgot to check which build of 8.1 was already on my phone before I updated to Pie. Now I need to know when I go to select a firmware from https://developers.google.com/android/images which 8.1 firmware is for my device?
If it helps any my current Pie build is PPR1.180610.009 and that in development setting I am able to select the option to "Unlock OEM".
Any help would be much appreciated.
Again, thanks.

Downgrade to older Stock ROM - How do I know which one?

So if I want to flash an older ROM (I am familiar with all the guides and how-tos's), how exactly do I know which older ROM fits my phone? There are tons of 6.0.1 version but I don't know which one I had before upgrading to Nougat. Is there a way to know which one to use?
Thanks.

Go by the upload date. Download the version of the rom that was released in the same month or even two to three weeks into the month as the Marshmallow security update you are using. If the rom was released in August 2016, then it would use the vendor image from the August 2016 Marshmallow factory image. You must make sure the vendor image you flash matches the rom security patch, even when downgrading.

But how do I know what the date is? My phone is currently on Oreo.
Edit: OK, I see Android Security Patch Level October 5, 2017. Does this help?

Not at all. Let me explain this again. You can either search within that custom rom's thread or follow my post. The last version of Marshmallow on this device was released in August 2016. You can read the version build on the Google factory image page:
https://developers.google.com/android/images?hl=en
That's why I wrote you should look at the upload date of the Marshmallow custom rom as you are downloading it. Match that 2016 upload date with your device's Marshmallow factory image from the link above. Download the respective factory image and flash the vendor image it contains. You need to wipe then flash Marshmallow vendor image, Marshmallow custom rom, and gapps to properly downgrade. Make sense?

if you want tou use stock, use the latest 6.0.1. Download the factory image and flash it.
6.0.1 (MTC20K) is the latest marshmallow for Nexus 5x.

As far as I understand, not every release matches all devices, and I knot that there are several versions of 5x. Aren't factory images match specific version of 5x?

Every Factory image is competible with every 5X as far as i know. But i think that can change if the device is an operator device or maybe Fi devices. i am not sure.

Is there anyone running Pie on a Pixel phone who could upload the Pixel Overlay APK? On Oreo it used to be located in System/Vendor/Overlay/Pixel.

Yeah I have same question. Right now I'm on Pie FW just because of Pixel Experience ROM. I want to try Havoc OS but it's using Oreo FW. Is it possible to flash Oreo FW safely? And which variant? Just asking because I have ARB no. 4 and I'm little bit scared of brick. So anyone? Thanks

Can anyone chime in on which version of Magisk you used to rool 12L Beta 3? When I go through the process it won't boot bast the G logo. I have to go back and flash the stock boot.img to get it to start.

I'm using Canary 24201. The latest Beta will also work. Do you have any mods enabled that may be causing a bootloop?
Can you guys please share the link on how to root p6p..thanks in advance
