Ok. How to find the firmware that I need to flash for my model XT-1710-09? It's a lot of firmwares in URL.
Do I need unlocked bootloader and root? or maybe something else?
Maybe there is a step-by-step instruction somewhere?

Skvalex call recorder works great on 8.0 update. Direct line recording (not mic)

Wth. I suppose the next step is using LGUP. Try flashing 20d firmware or so. I have that firmware on mine, since mine is WW version h815
Who is your ISP, this will determine whether or not you will get an official update to MM. As far as i am aware EE is theconly UK ISP who has so far made the MM update available.

My sim is on EE but the phone is unlocked. How can i find out if the handset is ww? Just to be sure.

My H815 is unlocked and is a UK phone but SIM unlocked also and it updated OTA to MM. Currently V20D-EUR-XX.
So unless EE has something against unlocked bootloader phones you should get the MM update if they have released it.

How do I downgrade From 7.0 to 6.0.1??

I need to root me S& active and it does not look like 7.0 will be able to be rooted anytime soon.... so is there anyway I can revert back to 6.0.1 my phone is new and has 7.0 on it (just purchased 2 weeks ago) So I am assuming I need to flash the whole PK2 firmware... does anyone know where a link is to the full download to it?
Edit, heres the mirror to get from 7.0 back to 6.0.1
Confirmed working, and was able to switch from 7.0 back to 6.0.1 then back to 7.0 and then back to 6.0.1
Found this one G891AUCS2API2_CL8737252_QB10881022_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.rar here

The password is below.
well, that was a no go...
Anyone no a better mirror for a stock 6.0.1 firmware flash?
Well found the password for the file....
password: G891AUCS2API2_FULL_FSFD
trying this again.
edit: Correct password above, file now working correctly
edit: Correct password above, file now working correctly
Its 7.0 not 6.0
this isnt 6.0.1
Has anyone found the 6.0.1 firmware for this phone? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I also really need this firmware as i'm bricked, Every link I can find has failed me. It seems to have either expired or been removed.

Do you know if it will brick if I downgrade the firmware? Its on Nougat and dont want to risk having a paper weight.
I'm currently testing this one. Got S7 Active on 7.0 trying to downgrade to 6.0.1 to root. Link I have posted above was pointing to 6.0.1 firmware. First attempt to downgrade failed so far. S7 Active survived so far.
I'll be testing further after work.

Hi. I'm back. Took me a while, like 3 hours to get this one right, but I have managed to root S7 Active on Android 7.0 by following guide from the Russian site. I'd help if anyone is willing to root on 7.0
i had already put up tutorial, and links for Root on 7 here...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-active/development/rom-mod-release-t3635879
also a nice script to debloat, and add s8 mods too ...
(its also where your QD4 odin file originated, look in the root of the rar file )

Need to know if I can downgrade Sprint Galaxy S9

Hi,
I have a Sprint Galaxy S9 running One UI Version 1.0, Android 9, Basebase G960USQS4CSC8.
I need to downgrade this phone to Android 8 in order to successfully record audio calls from both parties.
I tried flashing G960USQU3BRK1_G960UOYN3BRK1_SPR & G960USQU3BRJ5_G960UOYN3BRJ5_SPR but they fail.
I need to know if downgrading is at all possible and if so, what file I need to use to successfully boot this S9 into Android 8.0?
Thanks!

You cannot downgrade the bootloader
G960USQS4CSC8 << Version 4
Flash an equal or higher BL version firmware
Thank you for the reply.
So I cant downgrade the S9 I have to Android 8 due to its Baseband version being 4...
Looks like I'll only be able to downgrade/upgrade the firmware using an Android 9 Firmware version, Not Android 8.
That really sucks.
Does anyone know what Android 9 version works with Call Recording applications?
Is this something that will eventually be fixed or this is how it is/deal with it?
Thanks!

Downgrade Samsung Galaxy s7 G930F (oreo 8.0 to Marshmallow 6.0.1)

Hi,is there any way to revert my samsung s7 back to the stock version 6.0.1? it currently mounts 8.0. THANK YOU
I would be interested too.
I think it is not possible atleast not with odin because of updated bootloader. You can try with twrp and an 6.0.1 based rom if you find any. But i cannot guarantee everything will function
i tried the rom "the galaxy project" with twrp everything works, but i would like to go back to the original samsung stock,i had read about the bootloader problem,i was hoping someone had found the solution
is there a method? does anyone know a method?
Unfortunately there is no other way do to the bootloader
Mixing firmwares is generally not recommended, but it has worked for me in the past. You can try to downgrade only the parts that aren't version locked.
For that, you will need to extract the tar.md5 and resulting lz4 files to get to the raw images and use heimdall to flash them individually. Good luck!
...thank you
how is it going?

Downgrade to Android 12, One UI 4 - because of broken ANT+ Support?

Is there a possibility to downgrade to the last Stock ROM?
How to do this?
It's because of the broken ANT+ Support. Custom ROM with ANT+ would be great too, but I can't find one with working ANT+. Any recommendations?

You can flash Android 12 Firmware using odin.
Just download firmware files from Frija by typing your phones model number.
As for the CSC, the only one I know of with Android 12 as of now is KSA.
Once you get all the firmware files, place them in odin and flash while your phone is in download mode.

Thanks for your swift and helpful reply!
Is the wrong CSC a problem? I would need DBT for Germany unbranded.
Dispite of this, I can't find a Android 12 Firmware for my SM-G980F with Frija - not even with KSA.

Wrong CSC shouldn't be a problem as long as you have a sim card installed, but then again, it doesn't matter anyways since you want to stay on Android 12.
The S20 got updated into Android 13 in most countries.
Second way to do this is via those websites either Sammobile or samfrew where you just input your Phones model, CSC, and select what Android version you want.
