Samsung Internet on S9 - can those annoying website cookie messages be removed? - Samsung Galaxy S9 Questions & Answers

Hi
I have the S9. On Chrome on my desktop, I have a little bookmark icon called "Kill Sticky" that when I click it, it gets rid of the annoying cookie message that pops up on virtually every website I visit (the one about how a company uses your data, blah blah, that you either click Ok or have to look through it) - https://alisdair.mcdiarmid.org/kill-sticky-headers/.
Is there any kind of option like that that can be added to the Samsung Internet app on the S9?
Thanks

Default browser

I've read a couple threads in which the people keep getting the popup asking you to switch to a certain browser once or always. I'm trying to use Chrome always and it keeps on popping up the same message. I'm getting this primarily when using my widget from Android Pro Widgets for bookmarks. I also get the same popups when using the chrome bookmark widget. How do I set Chrome or any browser to open every time without the popup asking me if I want to use "x" browser on every link?
Also, how do I change my gmail bookmarks which are saved to my phone? I've got lots of old or auto generated bookmarks I'd like to clean out and I've deleted them from chrome but they keep popping back up.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

go to apps and select the internet app you dont want to use that is popping up and go to clear defaults. than next time you do something that triggers browsers it will give you the options you have installed. This works for any app's defaults such as launchers.

Disable Samsung Calendar

Hi guys,
If you are annoyed with samsung calendar and can't disable it within the phone like on AT&T, you can use Debloater by Gatesjunior to disable sCloudSyncCalendar and SPlanner. Now when you respond to an invite in gmail (or anything else) it'll ask to set up a new default calendar. I selected Google Calendar that I got from the play store, so I can now have them go right to the google calendar (even though previously I couldn't change the default action from taking me to S Planner.)
Awesome app! I was able to hide a lot of junk that I don't use! I wish I could find a way to get rid of the S Finder/Quick Connect in the notification shade. Disabling those in the Debloater didn't get rid of the two options in the notification shade. Maybe because I'm not rooted.
Since the notification shade is "hard wired" with s finder text, this definitely wouldn't remove it. Nonetheless, it was a great method to remove a bunch of useless Att bloatware.

If your device is rooted, you can used the app specified in the OP. Otherwise, try Package Disabler Pro (Samsung) by policedeveloper.

Twitter Client vs Other Clients (Inquiry)

When using the native Twitter app, the timeline jumps all over the place, is sprinkled with suggestions, the occasional advertisement, etc,. When launching the Fenix 2 app, however, it's clean and picture perfect when it comes to the chronological order of tweets (and ONLY TWEETS) that are shown on my screen. I can't figure out, for the life of me, how to adjust that on the native Twitter app. What suggestions and/or steps can people recommend?
Tap at the very top of the twitter app the little stars are and select Latest Tweets. This will show them in chronological order instead of "top tweets first". It does change every so often but you can easily toggle it back. If it says "Home" at the top instead of "Latest Tweets" you'll need to toggle it back. It's changed back maybe 2-3 times in the last year or so on me, maybe after the app updates, not sure.
As for the ads, you can't really do much other than top the down arrow on the top right of the tweet and pick "I don't like this ad" which will hide it from your timeline.
Fenix and other apps are using an API and don't show ads. They also don't have all features like polls, which only the official Twitter app can do.

WhatsAppWeb on W10M

WhatsApp Web works on my HP ELITE X3 running latest w10m using Monument Browser.... syncs with WhatsApp running on another phone via Bluetooth (wife’s iPhone X in my case!)... mirrors content and most functionality.
Not tidy, best in landscape So, could run your own WhatsApp on a Android or iOS device and access it on w10m as long as the phones are Bluetooth linked.
Open w10m phone’s Monument browser.
Hit 3 dots to open Monument browser controls
Adjust ZOOM; @65% (may need to tinker depending on screen real estate of other phones).
Change SETTINGS:
NAVIGATION MODE; CHROME.
JAVASCRIPT; ENABLED.
Open new Monument browser tab.
Navigate to web.whatsapp.com and scannable barcode appears.
Tick KEEP ME SIGNED IN
Open Whatsapp on other phone.
Hit 3 dots to open Whatsapp controls.
Select WHATSAPP WEB.
Hit + PLUS button to open barcode scanner
Point barcode scanner at the WhatsApp barcode.
Barcode should be accepted and a progress bar appears. GIVE IT TIME!
Whatsapp messages will appear on Monument browser if all has gone well, and you can send and receive, but notifications not working.
**PIN working Monument Whatsapp web window to Home screen for easy access**
If progress bar seems to have stalled check Whatsapp – Whatsapp web on the phone to confirm connection has been made. If it has, PIN browser window to home screen as above. Close all tabs. Restart phone. Click pinned window and hopefully that will work after page load delay - which seems inescapable.
PS clicking enable desktop notifications doesn’t seem to do anything (perhaps unsurprisingly).
Hope this helps someone ?

I did the same steps that you described, but I still have a problem apart from notifications: I can't view images, they remain with a circular spinning without possibility to download, I only view the low level preview of the image...did I miss something in the configuration ? Thanks
If still the same after restart of both devices (try that!) maybe it's a quirk of your particular phone? Fine for me.
Having said that, I've found having to carry two devices just to use Whatsapp is a burden [duh!] and I've installed Unigram (which is a Telegram client) and turns out to be better than Whatsapp. As a bonus, half my contacts were on it already and those I wanted to stay in touch with a la Whatsapp happily installed it. Available on w10m (but will not be updated further) and desktop

Hi guys, I found out that in several apps that do not have support they have the possibility to work, you just have to install an old version app, I work with the instagram app, but the only bad thing is that it does not let me send messages but yes I can receive notifications, I am trying to find the old apps like instagram and trying to revive them, PD: the facebook messenger app does not work, but the facebook app I am trying to install old versions to see if it works, the bad thing is that it is very difficult to find the xap

Question Multi tasking/window : which apps do you use?

Just curious if anyone uses the multitasking/multi window option, especially now in OneUI 4.1.1 / a12L. If so, which apps do you use together?
I must admit, excited as I was to use this when I first got the phone (and the updated version with the taskbar in the latest update) I keep forgetting to use it.
Most frequently I use email w/ contacts, email w/ calendar. In both cases I am visually transferring data or cutting and pasting. Sometimes it's a web page with contacts or calendar.
I use it occasionally, more often using the pop-up feature for the calculator and sometimes other apps like Chrome or Notes, but I've been using pop-up for years. The most recent time I used the multi-screen was two fold: Samsung Browser and Notes to make a list of good berm plants, bushes, and trees from a Web site that lists them after looking up what they each look like; and Samsung Browser, a photo app, and a share screen for saving some idea pics off the Pinterest site (not app) which you can only do by dragging the pic to the multi-screen and open it in a photo app to save it from there.
