Can't get into my phone after enabling quick PIN unlock - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

After updating my phone to OOS 5.1.5 and enabling their new quick unlock feature that's supposed to unlock the phone as soon as the pin has been entered correctly, I can no longer access my phone.
My PIN is 5 digits long, but the feature tries to submit the PIN after the 4th digit and fails.
Any ideas on how to solve this? I've tried rebooting and wiping cache/dalvik with no luck.

Only way that I know of is to use the TWRP file manager function, navigate to /data/system and delete the gatekeeper.password.key file and any other gatekeeper.key files there.

Bypass lockscreen?

Greetings dellow xda dev's, I am currently running a Tmobile galaxy note 3, with the newest stock odexed FOL1 firmware, rooted, running twrp 2.8.5.0, I hav been installing apps and setting things up all day as a recent problem has forced me to factory reset my phone. Due to the way I use tasker to lock my phone (using secure settings to set a password) and restoring the old tasker profiles, my password appears to have been corrupted in some form or another as I have entered it a bunch of times and it won't unlock, claiming that the password is wrong. I have spent most of the evening looking at exploits and bypasses but none seem to work with my phone, there is no password.key file in the data/system folder, and deleting the gesture.key doesn't help. Using android device manager I can send a message to my phone and 'lock' it, but there is no unlock option anywhere on the screen; until I hit the home button and it simply sends me back to the normal lockscreen, and whatever new password I punched in with the manager doesn't work. I have tried several flashable zip files (lockscreen security bypass and pattern password disable), I have also tried everything mentioned in :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2620456 that article, as well as poking around in adb and in twrp's file manager, as well as some old lockscreen vulnerabilities (sadly copy and paste do not appear on the emergency dialer or the password field).
I am rather desperate to get my phone unlocked without a factory reset, as I just barely recovered from one recently, and need my phone for work tomorrow morning. I do have some tasker and autoremote profiles running that will tell my phone to setoff an alarm through tasker, and that will alert my phone to when my tablets battery life is low, but I don't know if either of those will help. I do not have any trusted bluetooth devices that can unlock the phone, nor do I ever seem to find a password reset/forgot your password option after typing in my password.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated and tried come morning before work.

Urgent, bypass pincode possible?

My father in law died last weekend and we don't know the pincode of his stock Nexus 5X. We can access his Google account and we know the pincode of his sim card. I hope someone can help us out to get access to his phone. Things we've tried:
- The vingerprint reader was setup but we've tried a lot of possible pins. We've tried his vinger yesterday but because of the attempts the pin is also required now.
- With a pattern lock you'll get a possibility to unlock through the Google account password after some attempts but his phone was secured with a vingerprint and/or pincode. Only the delay between attempts get increased, currently 16 minutes between them.
- The lock option from https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager, but because there is already a pin lock it doesn't work. The pin doesn't change.
- I've tried to access the phone through ADB, booted into the recovery but "adb devices" doesn't see the phone. When I choose to "install update through adb" I see the devices with "adb devices" but I can't use "adb shell", only sideloading works.
- Installing a custom recovery could work but the bootloader is locked, when I unlock it a full wipe will be performed so we still can't access the data.
- From the Play store in the browser on my Mac I've installed the androidlost.com app on the phone, but the app needs to be opened once before it can be used.
- A rubber ducky could help us out, but I don't have one and the time between attempts get increased and increased... it would take weeks, months or years to unlock.
What other possibilities do I have?
First sorry for your lost!
Second, i don´t know for sure, but maybe get the phone to the store where you bought it and explain the situation, maybe they will give a correct advice or like you said the phone is registed in google ( device manager) maybe if you contact them they will help you with that ( the problem is they probably will take a long time to reply or don´t reply at all) or wait for a more expert user than me here in xda,
again, sorry for your lost and hope you solve this problem,
cheers
If the phone was rooted with a recovery installed, YES, you could delete the passcode files and get into it, without root/recovery, you cannot get into it without the password, that is the point of encryption and passwords and all that jazz.... Yes there is probably a way for some high level hacker to do it but good luck finding that.... If you just want to be able to USE the phone, do a factory reset from recovery....

[SOLVED] Encrypted but no need to enter password

Hey guys,
I have always had my op3 encrypted and I've become used to always entering the pin when booting up, accessing twrp etc. but today when I rebooted into twrp I didn't have to enter any pin to use twrp. When booting up the system I didn't have to enter a pin either.
When I check the settings under Security & Fingerprint it looks as in the attached screenshot, I don't have any options to decrypt or anything either
I'm running OOS 4.1.3, FrancoKernel #23 , Magisk 12, twrp-3.1.0-x_blu_spark_v27.
Is this something that anyone has experienced and know how to fix?
I want to keep my encryption but then, of course, you should have to use the pin.
Cheers!
Then the pin is defaulted and thus you don't need any. I don't need one, too and never did, but all is encrypted (Even locked down with a pin on bootup and fingerprint otherwise)
I believe this is an option you need to setup during the wizard when you initially set up the device. It asks you whether you want to require a pin on startup or not.
But, you can also turn this on by going to settings>security>screen lock.
From there, you click on the area where it says PIN. Confirm your pin, then click PIN again, and there should be an option to require pin for startup. Other than that, you are still encrypted, but it is all bypassed in order for quicker startup.

Ah that was it! it had somehow disabled itself, simply going in and enabling "require pin to start device" solved it.
Thanks!
Try removing the lock screen password and setting it up again and it will be back again in twrp.?

PIN incorrect & no fingerprint

booted TWRP
then flashed magisk and removed AVB and force encryption (running decrypted now)
i set up a pin and that works fine at unlocking my screen however - when i go in settings to change the pin it says incorrect pin
also the option to add a fingerprint is gone...
whats going on?.
Same issue here but also on lockscreen.
Did you find a way to fix it?

Mount system and delete locksettings.db from /system/data via twrp.
This will reset locksreen pin. Restoring Twrp backups and other modifications are known for causing this issue.

This is not the issue as it was the first thing I tried of course. But thanks. It must be some issue with decryption/dm-verity/forceencrypt/magisk...
Once I set a new PIN, it is wrong. But actually, it detects that it is correct when entered since I can enter it as often as I want without being locked out. When I enter a truly incorrect PIN it locks me out.
Logcat says that the GatekeeperHalDevice returns the response code -30 or -24.
Did you resolve the problem? I have something similar. No lockscreen PIN and no fingerprints. I tried to set a PIN but it didn't seem to take.
Now I am in some in-between land. Still no lockscreen PIN still but when I try to set one, it asks for a PIN. I enter the usual number but it says invalid.
It doesn't help that I am on a non-rooted beta for Q so I don't know how to delete the locksettings.db either.

Forgotten Pattern issue PLEASE HELP!

Month ago I decided to put passcode for my RedMagic 5G device. I couldn't find any other option but (pattern) So i place it, after that i got the (finger print) option so i tried to place it but in order to do so i would have to put the pattern. I put the pattern it gave me (wrong password) message i tried couple of times it didn't work.
Searched in Google and i read "if its locked, after few fail attempts it will give me to recover password using google account"
So i locked it kept trying but it never show me the "google option" it just kept adding more cool down time for the next attempt.
I deleted the device from my google acct. I format it (wipe data) all my data gone and it still require the pattern.
i format it multiple times and pattern still require.
to the point it got in loop mood and got stuck on retrieve data ,I flashed it with ROM. the problem solved but still require the pattern.
i format it after the new ROM but still require pattern.
PLEASE help what i should do now?
and would root fix the problem?
