I've unlocked bootloader of my chinese redmi note 5 pro and flashed a global rom on it then updated to global v9.6.3.0, after that I installed twrp thru adb and root with magisk. Now, will I be able to update this to a new global version thru ota?

Is there a workaround to do so?
You can comeback to recovery stock or download update file to storage , boot to twrp then flash update zip. After update , masgik will not work

So the official update zip will work on twrp? I thought it's not possible on a custom recovery. Anyway I'll try that, thanks.
Work fine. But if you flash full rom , not update pack, all data will be earse , mi recovery comeback.

I actually have the same question. Cannot B118 recovery brick your phone?
Can you any one help me?
On my P6 i have instaled TWRP 2.3.6.5 and custom rom from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2631444 in version 2.1
1. I want install stock twrp from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49978337&postcount=249 it is a right source? it is possible install this stock twrp on version 2.3.6.5
2. Then i want install KK beta how can i do it? it is posible via dload method (local update) or how?
3. Then i want install back B125 international rom how can i do it? it is posible via dload method when KK beta will be installed. or how
Thanks
Looks like your goal is to go back to B125?
Just flash recovery only from the link you posted:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407568599
You don't need to flash KK beta, flash B125 immediately.
Place UPDATE.APP from B125 in dload folder on your external SD card. Turn off the phone.
Turn it back on while holding volume down+volume up+power. Hold for at least 3 seconds. Update should start by itself.
Hope it works for you.

As I understand surdu_petru stated that you can flash TWRP 2.6.3.7 only on KK Beta, and 2.6.3.3 only on B118 unlocked firmware.
For flashing any custom ROM you have to read what ROM developer says. If developer of the custom ROM says "you can only flash it on B118", then you must be on B118. I would not try to flash it on B125 unless I was brave/dumb!

Well i flashed the stock boot, stock recovery and stock vbmeta, after that the notification of phone being rooted has gone. *Place your rom folder in c:/ and mi flash will probably succeed without antirollback error.
*Yes you can flash the zip that is meant for recovery flashing through TWRP. Simply flash it and don't forget to afterwards delete /system/recovery-fromboot.p in order that your TWRP will not be replaced by the stock recovery.

you can update it via update center. Go to check for updates in setting and tap to the MIUI logo 3 times. After that click 3 dots on right top select custom update package.

is that possible to use stock recovery from indian device for Indonesian device?
.
First of all i'm running official global rom on global variant. 11.0.6.0(PGGMIXM)
I have TWRP installed from the following post https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-8-pro/how-to/recovery-twrp-recovery-redmi-note-8-pro-t4033695.
Now there's a system update 11.0.4.0QGGMIXM | STABLE 2.0G.
If i aply this update will this brick my phone or not ?
Edit:
1* The update 11.0.4.0QGGMIXM | STABLE 2.0G. did not brick the phone. But you will need to flash the TWRP file again from the post "v1210 for Android 10". Follow directions from post when flashing. You will then have Magisk en Root again.
2* For the update 11.0.5.0QGGMIXM | STABLE 2.0G. I did the same in edit *1
I came here to ask the same question as I am in the same condition as you. I would ask one more question:
I downloaded the OTA as a zip file. Could I flash it on TWRP? Wouldn't it case a soft brick or bootloop?
No it wont,i just did an update with twrp and its working perfectly,
if the update fails ( mine did) after restart it will ask you to download the full rom its 2gb,download that and update it

thanks
just as a rule of thumb any modification to the device will leade to problems via OTA. always manually update when you have a modified phone.

I'll go like this if I were you:
1. Unroot, uninstall magisk. Better search first if you dont know how.
2. Flash android 9 via fastboot then OTA.
Or
Flash android 9 via fastboot, restart then flash android 10 via fastboot too.
Remember: NEVER RELOCK YOUR BOOT LOADER when flashing via fastboot
Then twrp, root, etc..
i got it already on a10
