Goodmorning everyone?
Which is the ROM that offers the best relationship between speed and stability?
Thanks for the answers
PS: Excuse me for my bad english?
LineageOS 15.1 is in my opinion the most stable rom.

But... is Lineage OS faster than stock 8.1.0 ?
The main issue is that this device has only 2 GB of RAM... so if Lineage OS takes less, that would be amazing! (maybe you can post a screenshot of the average memory usage?)
I prefer ABC, since I stepped over from stock 1y ago. Pure AOSP +some usefull extra's, no bugs, fast. Latest build. But:
1. best-ROM-threads are unwanted here, because everyone has his own best ROM. Use search function and read earlier threads.
2. Bullhead has BLOD-problem and BLOD is hot up by CPU. So don't prioritize speed.
None, stock 7.1.2
Best one so far

Yes, but it's not updated
In my opinion Slim Rom 6.0.1 is the best ROM you can get for this phone. It is the fastest, quickest, and most reliable.
I personally went back to stock ROM after Pure Nexus stopped updates. For my basic use, stock runs fine, updates regularly (just updated to 9/5 update), and has been totally reliable. But it's not my main phone, so I don't want to spend time screwing around with it.

I was using CM 13 which has so many bugs..
Suggest me a stable ROM that has no Ram Leak Issue and provides good battery backup
First of all, this list is poor. Second, there's no use I or someone else vote or say a ROM is better than another because it varies from user to user.
Use the ROMs for at least 1 day and draw your own conclusions.
But if you want to my humble opinion.
Because of the rich resources I would be between RR, CARBOM and BLISSPOP.
Prism Barebone. Stable as gold.
If you're not satisfied with custom roms because of their "instability" (as they are all based on CM/AOSP, which are young on this device, but i'm much satisfied with CM13 nightly 01012016 & nano gapps) :
As with a lot of android smartphones: Stock with root, xposed, greenify, amplify, powernap...
Alternativelly, is CM12.1 more stable than CM13?

It's been developed for a longer period of time. That would most likely be the case.
I bought this phone and it's really great, I have nothing to complain about it....it's really too perfect
but....I was used to flash all the day, try stuff ecc....things are getting boring, my addiction is healing
I'm a stock guy because I feel stock rom+kernel performance more reliable and consistent, but maybe your experience could inspire me, and maybe others to try different things
Show your stuff!!
Thank you
For AOSP, best setup worked for me was ResurrectionRemix + mini gapps + tabp0le kernel coming with the rom, however in the last builds i got some performance issues are reverted back to sense based ROM. many people say Dirty Unicorns + Nebula kernel is a killer setup. but i didn't really like it because it didn't have pixel launcher and i don't know how to setup it tbh.
the best sense based ROM setup for me is Stock ROM + ElementalX + PnP mod by ivicask on balanced. i am using LeeDroid now + Stock kernel and sometimes i experience some lag not sure why but after a reboot it works perfectly. will try it with custom kernel.
trying ROMs on HTC 10 is good because most if not all of them work perfectly with phone and all of the issues you may face can be solved. just try many roms and see what's perfect for you.
here a sheet i made with all custom roms available for the 10
here
ICE and Leedroid to me feel more stable than stock ROMs on other phones. The 10 is extremely stable
Viper10
It's the most popular HTC ROM on XDA for a reason.
You can stay as close to stock as you want, tons of customization options if you want that instead, timely updates, and a strong community on the thread to help with any issues you may have.

Leedroid and ICE do not use stock kernel, they're including cleanSlate kernel with their builds (I think for mod reasons), so performance/stability issues should not be ROM faults IMO....Thank you anyway, I was thinking about trying ICE, it was my daily driver on M8, I'm just not sure about the kernel

yes.....viper10.....you know, I always had this feeling.....the more mods you include, more the rom will be potentially unstable....and viper has damn tons of mods
The curious thing about viper ROM is that everytime I try it, it's damn smooth. don't know why. but again, it doesn't feel stable....I will try it anyway
thank you anyone
I use lineage os, I like frequent updates, I like the fact that's it's a WIP. It is good and gets better by the week. I like that is very up to date.

the lag i get is in notification panel and i am pretty sure it's not a kernel thing because other than that the ROM is so smooth with 5hours SOT battery. i never tried ICE maybe i'll give it a try this week.
I use lineage, I only switched off stock because they were not releasing a security patch update every month, nor upgrading to the most recent version of android. I like keeping everything updated and its frustrating that you have to wait for them to do it rather than just getting it from google.
I used to be a flashing guy, the htc 10 maked me stop flashing by now, I gonna wait for U11 ports, I think stock rom is stable and wonderful.

Totally agree. Thankfully HTC 10 has massive support in terms of AOSP ROMS. I recommend you to try crDroid. It's so clean and simple with perfect performance and battery life
Resurrection remix with the custom kernel that comes with the ROM. I've tried mostly everything as my DD but I always come back to AOSP. I've tried lineage but it started to stutter.
Edit- I'm back on lineage and it's amazing.

Hi guys!
Im going to buy xiaomi mi6 soon, so i want you to share with me your opinions about custom roms you used. Could you tell me what rom is the least bugged and gives me the most comfortable work with this device? Maybe the global stable is? Generally im looking for the best rom, and them futures.
If you are keeping bootloader locked then go for global beta most likely.
If you will unlock then the stable ROMs are based on 7.1.2.
AOSPA has a good reputation but LineageOS 14 is about to go official for Sagit.
The 8.1 ROMs are stable enough for most uses and so far I had no issues. Just waiting for Oreo kernel sources from Xiaomi for more stability.
There is no overall best ROM. Just the best for you.
Most people here don't like MIUI though.
Its alright but for anyone who's used to AOSP style ROMs they will not feel at home using it.
Its like an iOS splice of Android leaning more heavily to Android.

MIUI gives the best experience for me, most of time I flash weekly ROM's from Xiaomi.eu. They have stable too, if you don't want to flash every week and you don't mind trying new features. Xiaomi.eu team do a great job and sometimes fix some issues with official ROM's.
You have more MIUI based ROM's like Globe Rom, you can customize before downloading and Epic Rom I'm using this week.
If you like AOSP 'flavour' you can try Resurrection Remix (RR) very customizable via settings, and the classic Lineage OS (the old Cyanogen Mod).
Give a try some of them an tell us you experience

MIUI Global Stable - Stock ROM back in May, pretty okay, except battery drain was pretty bad. About 80-100mA drain during standby
Xiaomi.eu - the first non-official ROM I use, but still a MIUI-based. At least they give consistent weekly update and improvement. Battery drain problem was fixed here. But alas, I still hate MIUI's notification handling. The moment AOSP-based ROM pop, I made a switch, which is
LineageOS 14 by Xiaobai - first AOSP based ROM for Mi6. It was pretty good. I used LOS14 on my LG G2 back then, so it was pretty much as good as it can get
Lineage 15.0 by NisseCool/UnknownDev420 - Probably one of the first Oreo/non-MIUI ROM available here. Still lots of bugs, but usable. But phone gets really hot (up to 47c during load). Project is getting less update since December. Then finally I made a jump to
crDroid (Android 8.1) by Verevka - It has all the bugs in LOS15.0 fixed and have the goodness of MIUI camera. The downside right now is that QC3.0 isn't working. You're capped at 1500mA charging instead of 3000mA, which is pretty okay considering it'll get fixed and the ROM is still getting updated regularly.
Thanks guys, you are really helpfull. The roms you described have OTA update future? I like to enjoy with installing custom roms etc. but i dont want to manually update os after all updates.
I think Epic ROM from MrRaines is the only custom ROM we have here that has OTA. Though I've never tried it before.
Which rom do you guys think has the best battery performance?? I am using RR now and getting a SoT of around 7 hrs to %20

Did anyone try the flymeOS that is new for mi6
rn im using MIUI global beta with android 8.0.0 and very smooth here. However, as soon as official Lineage OS is out im installing it. Ive already tested other custom roms such as AEX and another one based on android 8 (not miui) and i was very happy although i left due to poor camera and some bug which didnt allow me to update one app precisely which i used, so had to go back
for now im on miui eu stable.Bugs free battery is very good and ofc is fast.

I have a N7 2013 (flo) running Android 4.3 and I want to upgrade its software to something more recent. Suggestions?

Please!
I would be keen to know this as well.. I don't really need latest Android, I don't use the tablet that much and all the apps I need are still compatible with the Stock Android Version
Having said that, I always like having the latest so I firstly installed the latest Lineage 16.0 with Pie and found the device to be too laggy.. It wasn't unusable but enough to be annoying.
So I tried Resurrection Remix and found the performance to be a lot better but still some small lag. I went back to Stock to compare and it was smooth like butter
I guess the small lag is to be expected installing a PIe ROM? If this is the case, I will stay with stock but still with TWRP and rooted with Magisk.
However, if anyone can advise that maybe another custom or original ROM with an earlier version of Android is still smooth like butter eg Oreo or Nougat then I would happily give them a try.
Cheers

My version is Lollipop
As far as I know Nougat, 14.1 is still the most stable.
Here is a link to 14.1: It was official but is now being periodically updated by JT1510365 in an unofficial release.....

I've been happiest with this one thus far: [ROM][9][Pie][Flo][Deb[UNOFFICIAL] AICP P 14.0
Pretty snappy, excellent battery life, standby lasts days, lots of extras, and SElinux can be set to enforcing without breaking anything serious (imo). I haven't had any crashes either, that's a plus.
Stock marshmallow + elemental x kernel works well for me.
I put validus on my lads nexus, it works really well, but I've recently discovered it does not allow install of unknown apps, so I am looking for something else on Oreo or above which is fast, stable, and has good battery life.
I will try the ones mentioned above and post an update.

Just go into settings and click "allow apps from unknown sources (or sth. like that)
Sent from my whyred using XDA Labs
It doesn't work, installing unknown apps is blocked by the validus developer, hence why I need a other rom, lol
I´m use stock mod for me<+ Elemental X... is most stable... and battery
Hi guys i used to be a active here on xda but since i got my one plus i kind of left all this behind. Im now looking to bring some life back to my 5t but i want something as stable as possible as it is a work device. Thanks!
This is a hard question because most people didn't try all custom roms. I suggest you check each Android 10 rom status here, if it's mentioned "stable", it should be good enough for daily use.
Any rom which doesn't use h2os firmware.

Buggy
i tried pixel experience and OOS 10 beta , pixel experience is a daily driver not sure about oos10beta tho cause i just got it today but it seems stable
Mainly I'd avoid custom roms cause I'll miss OOS features,no matter how good the custom rom is
I've tried Pixel experience only.
The battery life is more or less the same during normal use (if you play game, the battery will empty soon).
Derpfest rom
