Sorry my bad
Is it not switching on at all

I don't think you can flash that memory block while s-on. And if I remember correctly, there is no s-off for the M8s?

[Q] HTC One S

Hi, did a search for my HTC One S on how to root and didn't find anything here. Is it the same as using the HTC One X rooting instructions for both from what I read? Any help would be appreciated, thx!

Pretty sure there's a HTC One S dedicated subforum on XDA with details on how to root, you're in One X.
Yes there is, i think you looked in the wrong way for a moment. I checked for you and i think you will find your answer here

Good luck
But please don't flash anything from here (htc one x forum) because you might brick the phone

Yes it does. If you did read there you can see there is no progress at all in converting a Android M8 to a windows phone !
So actually the thread holds the exact answer for you.
Crap wrong link......

Anyway.....it should be easy to find after all because it's pinned on top in the general section.
Cheers.
