S-off M8 stuck on Kitkat stock - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an M8 with the following system setup:
M8_UL PVT SHIP S-OFF
CID-11111111
HBOOT-3.16.0.0000
RADIO-1.15.2133156.UA12.5mv
OPENDSP-V38.2.2-00542-M8974.0311
OS-1.54.401.109
It's running Kitkat 4.4.2 and if I check for software updates there's none available.
I imagine I can run an RUU to get the latest updates, but will this render the phone S-ON?

Hi, Swell6...
No, you can't lose S-OFF by running an RUU.
Once you have S-OFF, it's permanent. Or until you run this fastboot command...
Code:
fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
Good luck and hope this helps?.

[Q] How to have S-off without ROMs?

When I've flashed some ROMs to my One V earlier, they've been usually successful. On the other hand no ROMs have booted due to my phone has never had S-off, and no way I've found to have S-off my phone.
So, do you have some scripts, batches, or anything to have S-off of my phone without ROMs?
u cannot s-off one v yet... but u don't require that to root or run roms..

Please Help, Broke my HTC One

So yesterday i bought myself a new HTC ONE phone from Egypt, the original owner used it for just 48 hours then sold it. When i received it i found the SuperUser installed and the OTA updates were not installing sin11ce the phone has been modified.
I followed a tutorial on XDA about getting back to stock rom and after flashing custom recovery and moving the stock rom to SD card i flashed it from recovery and it failed in the process.
Now the phone just boots into recovery, can anyone please post me a quick tutorial on getting the stock firmware back? i would really appreciate it.
Here is the info from the recovery:

My bad. Didn't realize it was international version.
DO NOT follow the link above to return to stock!
You do not have a Verizon HTC One.
You have an International model and would find more relevant info in your specific device variants forums here.
Sounds like you flashed a Rom not meant for your variant.
Good luck! :good:

How can I update my (ViperOne) Custom Rom (questions about firmware updating)

Hey,
I'm a bit confused on how to update my ViperOneM8 Rom to the newest version.
When I got my One, I rooted it, unlocked the Bootloader via HTCdev and managed to get it to be S-Off.
I installed the ViperOne Rom Version 1.8.0 and since then, I haven't touched it.
Now I'd like to upgrade it to the newest version but I'm kind of confused about having to update my firmware and so on. Before I do something stupid and break my device, I figured it would be better to just ask for advice here
I'm especially unsure about which firmware (if any) I have to flash (considering that the device was bought in Germany and has had a Vodafone branding) and how to do this.
Here is all the information from the Bootloader:
" "*** TAMPERED ***

I'd appreciate it if you could help me.
Thank you

since you are S-OFF then you better update the firmware using NOWIPE zip file, you can get the info from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/progress-fuu-m8-t2813792
(make sure you choose the right nowipe zip file)
Then from the bootloader, go to recovery (it's installed by the firmware automatically) and install the Viperone rom 3.10 (make sure you put that zip file in your sd card before you start)
thanks

Is there anything that can be done please?
Flash an RUU to it. If its just a software fix this should make it work again.
