After unlocking bootloader and flashing Kryptonian_kernel on my Z1 Compact (because it promises to have CWM) when I boot into recovery (with keys or adb or any method) a black screen will appear but adb says I'm already in recovery, but I can't do anything
I use an Xperia Z1 Compact D5503 with official based kernel on Lollipop 5.1.1
Also adb, fastboot and flashtool works wery well but I can't see any recovery.
At all, I have a Mac (but if needed I can use a Windows laptop)
Please help me because I don't know what to do:crying:

[5.1.1 - .236][Kernel][v1.0] Kryptonian-Z1 Kernel Advanced [18-04-2016], Kernel for the Sony Xperia Z1 It syays "Z1" not "Z1 compact" there also is another post on page 1 that says "its only for z1 !! not for z1 compact !! " Anyway to install recovery you need to unlock bootloader, then flash stock rom with emma and then install the recovery with adb. Thats the way I did and the only one I know

if you get this "bootloader unlock allowed no" then afaik there's no way. Readed over there that you can ask to get free operator ( free sim ) and then send to Sony support, you also can try this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896553 all that is theory, sorry I cant give you a better answer

If i am sure Xperia S and Xperia SL are the same devices, only difference is Cpu clock(S-1.5 Ghz SL-1.7 Ghz) So i think its the same relock way as with Xperia S.

I am pretty sure that the relocking ftf file over here works for S and SL - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159
Also, before you relock, just be sure to flash stock ics first with Flashtool and then flash the relocking ftf file.
Btw, you can still update to official JB with an unlocked bootloader. Once someone receives the update in his/her country, the ftf file will be made and released here for everyone. Also, Sony has their official Flashtool for unlocked bootloader devices.

Yes. You Can Flash Relock ftf. Both Are Same Device With Different Clock Speed.
It should not create any issue.
USING FLASHTOOL
First Flash The ICS (Exclude TA in Options)
Then, Flash The FTF Relock (Include TA in options)
Hi Everybody !
I have sony xperia SL (LT26ii) !
Which recovery tool may be suitable for this handset? I think TWRP is more versatile and user friendly than CWM? And I just want to install TWRP without unlocking bootloader? Is it posible?

Hi, today I tried to update my Xperia S to 6.2.b.0.211 using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2302631
But I got a brick which put my phone on a bootloop like the sony logo wouldn't disappear. So I used PC Companion to repair it and now I'm at 6.2.b.0.200 without root.
What I'm asking: Is there any way to root/flash a pre-rooted rom or whatever to have my phone rooted?
Thanks in advance.

Hello guys, u dont need pre-rooted rom or use the old .200 rom anymore
just get the .211 stock rom and u can root it!!
Seems the .211 rom is not available in many country, including Hong Kong (where i'm from)
u can just flash the .211 rom with the ftf file with flash tool in your XS
u may download it here : http://goo.im/devs/DooMLoRD/xperia_s/LT26i_6.2.B.0.211.ftf
u can flash it in without wiping data or cache (while the pre-rooted rom will wipe data)
then root it with doomlord easy rooting kit : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327473
hope it helps

Here is very easy and wonderful way !
1. Unlock the bootloader ! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1560613&nocache=1
2. Download flashtool and install it. http://androxyde.github.io/
3. Download doomkernel and SuperSU-1.25-Busybox-1.20.2-UPDATE.zip - 1.43 MB http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2305591
4. Now flash the doomkernel via flashtool and restart the phone. Now when you see cool doomlord logo, pressing at 'volume +' you will get CWM recovery and pressing at camera button you will get TWRP recovery. choose any one of them and flash this 'SuperSU-1.25-Busybox-1.20.2-UPDATE.zip - 1.43 MB'
ALL THE BEST !

I'm not sure if it's region free but i can instal in on my Hong Kong version Xperia S so i believe it can be installed on yours
i believes most languages are here too
but there's only xperia international keyboard by default
seems other keyboard can still e added in setting
but the Xperia Chinese keyboard is missing and i have to flash it myself
if u dont like this version, u may look for another ftf file

btw, doing this will make u lose your bravia engine
u can root official . 200 FW. Your device must be UL, flash with fastboot doomkernel v5 and then you have CWM and root.

You need to flash the kernel. It should be flashed automatically from the zip, but judging from the Sony logo it's not.

Thankyou for the answer,
i have installed the rom ROM][Z1C][5.1.1][LB/UB][.236]|X Features|Mx ROM|V8.5.0|☆Best Battery|☆[23/7/2016]☆
And the recovery is phiLZ Touch 6.59....0 ClockworkMod v6.0.5..1
No problems so far. I test the rom now .
You should be careful with that ROM. Haven't checked myself but some users reported it had malware in it.
Sent from my D5503 using Tapatalk
Yes, it has. After install mx rom you have to uninstall some malware apps.
