[Q] Update my ascend P6 B124SP01 firmware to kitkat

Hi, I have the P6-U06V100R001C00B124SP01 firmware in my phone. I want to know what firmware i have to use to update my phone. Can I install the B111 from the official site and then get OTA updates? or I have to install another firmware?

hello, first you must update using dload method to b132 firmware, wich you can find here on the forums, then update to other version like b512 b512 b513.

the only firmware version i know that use ota update is b125, it updates to b510

Thanks for ur post..but i think the version 5.3.27 is official and downloaded from miui server but the other version links shows the armani links.......and if possible give some screenshots...

1.Download this update.zip

2.extract update.app from the zip
3.place it in dload folder
4.power off device
5.hold volume up + volume down + power button simultaneously
6.It will start updating after update it will restart
7.download this Update.app from the link

8. Repeat procedure from 3 to 5

Make sure you have the correct model (BLN-L22C675)

Guys don't flash by using this method because its not full update. B340 has august security patch and emui version is updated to 5.0.1. Wait for official update or if u want to flash now then flash full ota from firmware finder using dload

2- from B330 to B340

Since you are on b330 it should be the second one but, I don't know if it'll work 100%

Is it ok if i download B150-B340 update.zip?

Yes download it via firmware finder. Its size is about 1.4gb

While in FF, I tried the 2nd update which is of 400+ mb but it says package authentication error. So I guess I should flash the full ota. Will I lose my data after flashing this? Cant wait to see the camera improvements after this!

Latest Magisk does not work with August Security Update

Dear All,
I have tested rooting SM-A505F with August Security Update but did not work. Magisk rooting worked with July Security Update. Is any body rooted A50 with August security update? Let me know please.

Ha, didn't think it was you lol, I used your original video to gain root back on the old updates, thank you and glad to help

[MAGISK] Patched 10.5.5 + 10.5.6 AA & BA image

I used payload dumper to extract boot.img from the 10.5.5 and 10.5.6 zip AA and BA for OP8 Pro and patched them with magisk manager. I'm now rooted on my AA running 10.5.6.

Its only required when you first get your phone and want root.
once you rooted you can just update to new version and patch via magisk manager

Not everyone rooted their device as soon as it came out of the box

Yes and every time I reboot the phone are turn it off and back on i loose root and have to fastboot flash the patched.img again
