[Q] Port Note 3 or Note 10.1 2014 ROMs?

So the Galaxy Note 8.0 is currently stuck on Android v4.2.x, which sucks if you want to keep the TouchWiz features.
The Note 3 and Note 10.1 2014 Edition have both been released with more updated software, and an updated TouchWiz - I'm really curious as to why we haven't seen any ports of those ROMs over to the Note 8.0. I tried searching, and came up empty. Anyone?

Using the rom porter app from here on xda, I ported the note 10.1 2014, but have been afraid to try it as I have only had my note 8 a month, and had a hard time with gaining root.

Hi I would test this for you but my note is the n5100 not the /5110 what you have got could you port it to mine then I could test mate

Also what ROM porter method/app are you using?

[REQ] MIUI on 4.3/4.4

Request to the amazing developers of Note 2 to make MIUI latest available on android 4.3 or 4.4 version.
Hope my request will be kept to fulfill the dream of the MIUI lovers of Note 2

Will the Redmi note 8t(willow) get the new miui 12 update?

From what I see the 8T will not be part of version 12 or finally you might have time before seeing it coming! I am in the same case as you and for my part it will be either Havoc-os or Bliss rom.

It looks like xiaomi are more interested in releasing loads of handsets rather than working on up to date software

Theoretically yes knowing that on the hard side the two models are identical but the NFC would be unavailable. Now it is not recommended to do this so to see!

Of course it will come to 8T, it was confirmed time ago. I'd be surprised to see it not coming to this phone, as essentially it is the same as 8, but with NFC and no notification light (from what I know).

Frankly if we summarize for the 8T situation, Miui 12 is slow to come and late for the arrival of Android 10! Beside that in custom roms the beta of Android 11 has emerged! Now wait? For me I will go directly to A11.
