[Guide] Lenovo Vibe Z (K910) - Stock Firmware & Upgrade to VibeUI 1.5 (4.4.x) /w Root
I was having trouble rooting or installing CWM after upgrading to VibeUI/VibeROM 1.5 on my Lenovo K910 and after searching the chinese forums it appears that the bootloader becomes locked and there is no way to unlock it or install CWM recovery.
Finally found a method to upgrade to viberom 1.5 while maintaining root and able to install CWM recovery & gapps.
http://mir.cr/YH4CSDNB
Download this and follow the steps. There is a text file which contains links to stock firmware and vibeui1.5 update as they were too large to include in this package itself.
sorry for the short intro but i hope the package is self explanatory once you unzip/unrar it.
Thanks for this precious information!
Any other feedback on this semi-guide? How does this KitKat update run on the phone? Still littered with Chinese deep in the rom?
Thanks

Hello, i'm new here ^^
Anyway, i bought a moto z play in december of last year and i decided to root it with twrp software. It worked fine. Well, the android 7 nougat released and i really wanted to update my cellphone, but not by OTA. I removed the root using supersu and flashed a stock ROM hoping i would be able to do the update. I was able to download the new version but not install it. Later i discovered that the ROM i installed was a custom one so i cant update the android version anyway. I looked up for a original rom to flash in motorola's website but there's not roms to the moto z cellphones. After that i looked up for official stock rom 6.0.1 xt1635-02 on google but none of the sites looked like they were trustable. Can anyone tell me if there's any official stock rom for moto z play dual chip and a quick guide how to flash it using adb minimal fastboot?
Edit: I am from brazil, i just found out that the roms are different depending where you are from

As for using ADB there are threads under the Guides section.

No official signed ROM is available for this device ... So no official ROM
Though you can download stock ROM unsigned from the above given link
Hey guys,
a friend of mine has a moto z play which I modded for dual sim usage according to the guide here on xda.
Unfortunately the phone is kinda pushy with trying to get updated (currently there is 7.0 on) and I would like to know if the Dual Sim Mod would be possible on the 7.1 update and/or linageos based custom roms?
Please someone answer - otherwise I'd have to just fully disable the update annoyances .. but he would prefer to have a custom rom or at least the 7.1 update.
Thanks
