Hi, ive read a couple of threads to unlock the sprint lg g5, in my case the hiddenmenu call apk doesnt show all the options, and i understood this may be because of my software version, is there some way of downgrade o change the software version? Is the ZVF the latest? Thanks!
Yes this is the latest security update, and there is no possibility to downgrade it

Hi Guys
I'm completely confused.
I'm on a H815 in the UK. My phone is an O2-UK branded handset and my latest branded software version is H81510E_00 (v10e). I'm currently using the EU open unbranded firmware which works absolutely fine.
However - around the forums I'm seeing versions V10F, G, H etc so now I'm completely confused.
What is the latest software version available for EU handsets? Is it E? Why are some people saying that D is the latest, or they're installing E but it's showing as version D.
What's the definitive answer as of today - 22nd September? Can we keep a stickied post at the top of the forum simply stating which official software version is the latest for which handsets?
Cheers
Nick

+1. I have the V10d european open unbranded but I noticed that some other people have a lot of different versions.
I came here to ask the exact same question.
The numbering is just messy. Look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62467663&postcount=77
The newest European system is 10E. You might find around 10F but it is only for AU (might be the same as 10D in EU) and 10G/10H again for different regions.
The phone was released with 10A. Then autoprime released a rooted 10B image but called it 10C because 10C was set in build.prop.

*note*
the original KDZ file was named 10B but build.prop shows 10C... therefore I am going with the 10C name for now.

Since then we have the above confusion. But you are good to go with 10E EUR. Even rooted images are available if you are rooted and twrp-ed.
is there a website which shows releases like samobile for Samsung?

Thanks! Still confusing as hell, but that's made it a bit clearer! Not sure how Apple can ship a world phone (i.e. one hardware version) yet LG/Samsung seem to have 5-10 different hardware revisions for different parts of the world!

Don't know if I should flash 10h which seems specific to Emirates..
I've an H815, unlocked and both hardware and software unbranded, but I believe its an O2 handset (V10e-234-10, if that helps). I also have the bootloader unlocked. I've seen an Android 6 update is available for certain UK and European handsets and I'm just wondering if this handset is suitable for update? The update center and LG Bridge both say that the phone is up to date.
Is there a marshmallow update available for my handset version?

Thanks for that CraigHardy. I've a little project for today now.
O2 are really dragging their heels with this. We're now 4 / 5 versions into Marshmallow and still no sign of it for O2-UK.
Mine is the same handset, I flashed the V20D firmware linked in the Android Development forum, but it threw a message on every reboot saying the version wasn't matched. I'm currently using the V20E (Orange Romania?) ROM and it's absolutely fine (bar the carrier name in the notification area).

So you reckon using V20E is the natural progressor to V10E then? It would make sense. As I said, ther is no branding on the phone except, and I just found this out this morning, the stock web browser defaults to the O2 UK mobile website. I normally use Firefox or Chrome and I don't know why the browser opened at all
V20E installed and working great. But I'm not seeing much difference between marshmallow and lollipop. Cheers guys.

Same as me, I'm on an o2 unlocked G4.
I have been running euro v20d and cm13 with no problems.
Funny enough my o2 branded g4 prompted me to download the V20d-234-10 update today.
Hi all,
I have an H815 USA version, which I got off eBay but expect to be from the USA G4 trial program, and I have a few related questions:
What is the most recent .kdz file that anyone has tested with this phone?
Is the most recent (6.0 if applicable) supported stock ROM the best, or does it have any significant known bugs, for example failing to send/receive SMS messages?
Does putting on another stock ROM permit any sort of unlocks that were not previously possible with the USA version firmware?
The phone came with v10b-EUR firmware, and would not update itself to anything more recent. However, I downloaded a Polish .kdz from here (H81510E_00.kdz): http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G4/H815/ and successfully installed it using the LG Uploader (2014 version) tool today.
This appears to have fixed all but one stagefright vulnerability. I am interesting in upgrading to one of the Marshmallow versions there, if it is advisable by the crowd here.
Based on a screenshot from this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/diy-h815-usa-variant-hardware-boot-loop-t3311623), it looks like user rogconnect may have a 6.0 ROM installed on this version of the phone, but I am worried about bricking my device or upgrading to a firmware that is buggy and not being able to revert.
I have boringly used an LG G4 for almost two years now. Just after a few months of using it, I had the bootloop issue, LG gave me another G4 which I've been using for more than a year. But I believe it is time to unlock the true potential of my phone. I've transferred all my pics and vids and similar stuff to my computer, so now it's go time. The only thing is... I don't know what to do.
Model number: LG-H815TR
Android version: 6.0
Android security patch level: 2017-03-01
Kernel version: 3.10.84
Build number: MRA58K
Software version: V20i-TUR-xx
These are the info I think are relevant. I have no experience in rooting whatsoever. What do I do now? (an up-to-date detailed guide also works for me)
Hey,
I still need help for this.
I've checked online and couldn't find anything for H-815TR v20i running Marshmallow.
Can someone come to my rescue?

It's very easy:
You can't unlock your device because LG allows unlocking of the 815 international version and 811 only.
Marshmallow can be rooted on unlocked devices only (so not on yours).
If you really need root you need to downgrade to lollipop.
Downgrading to LL requires a compatible anti roll back version. Search the forum for the code which displays your current antirollback version and the how-to for downgrading and rooting LL
.

Oh okay.
So I can't root my phone as is, I need to downgrade to Lollipop to do that.
Well I was thinking of flashing some custom ROMs and maybe underclocking for more battery life but given that this is my only smartphone I'd better stick to its current state then.
find the service menu for your phone. Google lg g4 service menu. call that number. check anti roll back version (last entry) if 0 you should be ok to downgrade, if not 0 downgrade will likely brick your device.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/lgup-install-kdz-mm-lp-t3249803
read carefully and ask a any questions before using LGUP if unsure
after that you can root with https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/lg-g4-100-root-success-directives-root-t3180586
or upload your img file and kindly ask someone to root it for you and re-upload it
Anti-rollback version is 0.

Not possible, as you could read in this active thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10+/help/downgrade-to-earlier-firmware-year-t4182683
Upgrade to new sprint fw with minimum same BL version of your current BL

It sounds good to me, but when I felt the impossibility of not being able to downgrade I was forced to sell it as a tmobile device, since for some strange and not logical reason, it did not register on the sprint network in any way and the only option that sprint gave me is to send it to warranty:crying:
