My Tilt 2 has been connecting to my Linksys router with no issues until yesterday. This was even after I flashed a new ROM. It has been painless until I lost my internet connection with AT&T and had to reboot my modem and my router. Since then I have been unable to connect at all. I have other wireless PC's that are connecting to my router with no problems. I have spent a lot of time going over and over the internet wi-fi settings. The phone is picking up the router, but never connects. I do not have any security running so this should not be it.
Any ideas?
I have been using Note 2 N7100 running 4.1.1 for a week now but only a couple of days ago started experiencing WiFi connectivity issue at home. The problem I have is it would lose Internet connection and then disconnects from my wifi router. When I opened the wifi menu it says my router is not in range. Turned off wifi and then on again and it connected just fine. However, after a while I lose Internet connection again and then router connection as well. In addition, my PC and other mobile devices started having connection issues. So, I restart my router and everything seems to work normal again until I turn on wifi on my Note 2. The problem reoccured again until I decided to turn off wifi on my Note 2 and so far my wifi connection is stable. I did try to use static IP and for a moment it seemed to work fine yesterday but today it messed up again right after I got home and turned on wifi on my Note 2. I also reset my router to factory setting yesterday and I don't want to reset every day.
I remembered that I did a software update at work on my Note 2 two days ago but it's an update from Samsung. I forgot what the update was for. Is there any chance to undo this update just in case it caused the wifi problem but without having to root the phone?
try to add the ip and mac address of your note 2 into the router.
Hi Guyz,
I am observing a strange behavior (really) and not sure how to debug the problem.
I have a Beetel 450BX1 ADSL2 + Router running in my home. I have a Yureka device. Previously Yureka was running CynogenOS version and I was able to connect to Wifi to above router.
Recently I upgraded my Yureka with "lineage-14.1-20170407-nightly-tomato-signed" custom ROM. After the upgrade, as soon as I click on SSID for connecting the Wifi, my router is rebooting. I am not seeing this problem with other mobile devices connecting to the same SSID.
Note that, it is not the mobile device rather router itself getting restarted. Any pointers on troubleshooting this would be great.
I am suspecting that mobile is sending some command/information to router for connecting to Wifi and this seems to be causing some issue (may be crash) on the router. But I cant get any pointers for this.
Thanks

Hi Team,
I was able to debug the problem and found the root cause. I was using WEP encryption key for my WiFi SSID. This seems to be causing the problem. I changed it to use WPA-PSK and how I am able to connect from my Yureka running lineageOS to the Beetel modem.
I am not sure whether there is a way to close this thread. If so, please suggest me how I can do it as the issue is resolved.
Thanks

Hey everyone,
I've a strange issue with moto z play wifi.
Whenever i connect it to my home wifi, it always say "no internet access". Than restarting the device solve the issue. It occurs everytime.
No other device in my house has any problem connecting to my wifi network.
But it connects to my office wifi without any problem.
This is so frustrating. Please help.
My device is on 7.1.1 ( october 2,2017patch)
Since I've purchased the note 10 +, I've had some wifi connection issues. The phone never stays connected, or will drop wifi frequently. Normally once a day. Now though, it is much more common, and it is for longer periods of time. I'll be casting something to my tv, and then the video will drop due to the phone trying to "reconnect" to the wifi. Has anyone else seen similar issues?
No issues here with WiFi. Do you have any other devices that exhibit this issue? What have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting?
I've tried resetting the router, and doing a factory reset on the device. Also, I've tried it on another wifi network and it does it there as well. No other devices that I have on my wifi exhibit the same behaviour. I was hoping with a software update it would get better but it is getting worse.
Do you have a case on your phone?
Any settings made in advanced wifi settings?
Tried app like wifi analizer? Both to check the received wifi strength and also possible wifi congestion...
Are the problems only while casting to TV or also when streaming of Internet?
Did you try change in wifi settings in router, like extended lease time or assigning fixed ip-adresses to both TV and phone, change of wifi channel, switch between 2.4GHz and 5GHz?

The wifi network is fine. Both in signal and congestion. The phone is set to be on the 5 ghz. And I've never had any issues with it on any other device. I lose signal frequently. I only used the casting example to help people understand what's happening.
Now there is a problem with many routers. Even expensive models may not solve the problem with an Internet connection. I also had problems connecting to wi-fi. The phone was disconnected from the router once every few days. I called the guys who connected the Internet to me, but they said that everything was fine on their part. They sent me a master, he looked, but could not do anything except how to change my router. A few days later, I realized that the problem was not solved and started Googling the problem on the Internet. I came across a forum where they advised me to enter this ip 192.168.1.1 and after a couple of manipulations, I was able to fix my problem.

Are you just talking about the programming page of Netgear's routers? Netgear also has apps for that...

How did entering your router's default IP address fix your issue? What changes did you make to your router's configuration?
Just saying that you entered that IP address and making a couple of manipulations doesn't help the OP.
