[APP] Working MIUI Camera Solution for LOS

Hey guys,
after getting very angry because no camera solution worked for me I finally found one which works perfectly fine. I just extracted the sagit.xml from the current global dev rom.
EDIT 2:
I ****ed up a little lol..just use this one and dont use any xml:

Edit: Seems not to work on Oreo based roms. Nougat is fine.
What is working for me:
- everything exept Portrait mode and that Bokeh effekt ( even manual fokus ) :good:
Instructions
1. Download MIUICamera.zip (a port from Mi A1 Credits to Miftahzy from MIUI Forum) and flash it through TWRP
2. Create a folder on SDCARD root named "device_features" and place the sagit.xml in it.
3. reboot and have fun

for LOS 14.1 or LOS 15?

I tried only on 14.1, of u try in 15 i would appreciate it

Thanks for clarifying this! So this solution aint work on Oreo!

Good news, I replaced another MIUICamera.apk that I took it from RR 5.8.5.
And I flashed it in AICP ver 13.0 released at 171106 https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=817906626617944462 and finally the MIUICamera work normally.

This has been tested and maybe work normally ONLY on my Mi6 running AICP 13.0

Well I found some bug. When you choose "Slow motion" mode camera will FC and when you open it next time it will show you "cannot connect the camera"

Is this for Oreo?
On LOS 14.1 I got no connection to camera issue with this.

does this work on the xiaomi mi a1 ?

It does not work with Lineage Os 15 Oreo. Is there a port opportunity for oreo ??

There are many a1 oreo ports on the xda. I've tried every one of them and still couldnt figure it out. I've really missed the miui camera. Can some dev could look at it ?

I was curious enough to the try the flashable ZIP on a Mi 6 with LOS 15.1 -- didn't work (like it's stated in the op). For those of you who also need to remove all files from add_MIUI_Camera_by_Verevka.zip try the attached removal script.

Work on lineageos15.1 official. İnstall zip then restart phone and give permmissions miui camera apk on app settings.

in my lineage os 15,1 work, but there is not the bokeh effect!

Based on Motorola releasing Official oreo somewhen in 5634 a.c. .... I can tell 4sho i dont care anymore. . got these custom settings by myself and system is running in almost perfection....
Lineage 15.1 latest build June.
No other Kernel....just Vaches Lineage.
Gapps Oreo Nano latest build.
Arnova8G2 Camera...whatever works the best for you...my case v6.
Titanium Backup...for that of saving Apps with settings only not rom settings.
Magisk v1604 with Safetynet working perfectly.
TWRP 3210.
My pals....this is working just amazing no issues battery performance outstanding....overall performance etc....and let me tell ya I got back device from brain dead....black screen full hard brick not being able to install any stock rom anymore but....the same....i dont care anymore it is working amazing!!!

Im using this with no issues at all

So you can say Okay Google with the screen off and it responds? I thought that this didnt work on any custom roms? I have tried them all except for Lineage and none of them have ever worked for me?

That is correct no issue so far altought barely never use that feature

How is the audio clarity and quality when compared to the stock ROM? I have stopped flashing any custom ROMs - be it Oreo or Pie just because of this issue. Also, could you please share the full camera version that you are currently using - is that without the Portrait mode? Also, how much screen-on time are you getting?

Hello there... this post got my interest too. I have jumped back and forth between stock and custom. It is sad "for me" that it seems most devs have given up on supporting / maintaining Oreo 8.1. Everyone is trying to iron out the bugs in a Pie custom... however, I simply want the stability to be there... especially with the camera features and battery life. I am not a gamer either, btw. With all of that said, I have a question or two please.
1. Why did you quote using an older version of Magisk? Is there a compatibility thing that I should be aware of?
2. With the Gcam mod you referenced, does stability work smoothly while recording video? I have found that in many custom builds the stability mode can be jerky and no too smooth.

Sound and gcam not work

A stable Miui 10 with everything working like stock cam,IR could be worth giving a shot as a daily driver..

cant install on top of EUI..should i install the JUI first??? im using a leree le 3 by the way...

First, overwrite your current TWRP with modified one by Cuoco92. Then, install JUI by Simby. From then on, you are free with switching ROMs.

It's here… On this forum, in this section. Go back a page to "Coolpad Cool1 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Development" and find the thread "[C103/Leree][Oreo][Android 8.0.0] JUI". It's written by SimbyOS. Download the rom, install it and you're good to go

Maan, all these ROMs here can be installed only on top of Android 7 or higher. That's why you got an error. I got the same. You don't have to use COOLPAD ASSISTANT. This is modified version of JUI. It is used only for upgrading the Android version.

TWRP by Cuoco92 and JUI by SimbyOS from here: and yeah, you can do that with no problem. I faced that problem too. It took me couple of hours to figure out the solution. You can even install the roms that are not officially on XDA. There are a few on the web. Just google them.

But the problem is SimbyOS himself told me that i need to install the JUI via the Coolpad Assistant first before installing the JUI that you just refered me to.
Im using a Leree Le 3 bro.

I already have the Cuoco92 TWRP 3.1.1 installed on my Leree Le 3. So you mean to say that if i have installed the Cuoco92 TWRP, which i already did, i can install the JUI by SimbyOS??

For those that wish to test lineage 15.1 on their unlocked Mi8 here is a working verison.
This thread will probably mutate into a thread for Dirty Unicorns or something else depends what I decide on.
For now here is a working version of Lineage 15.1
Please make sure you are running the latest firmware before flashing this: 9.6.7
Otherwise you may get some services crashing as Xiaomi added some to the vendor image in the latest updates.
Bugs? I'm unsure of all so far.
USB file transfers: The only issue is the driver shows up funny. You need to go in device manager for now and select it to use a 'portable device, then mtp usb device' and everything works.
This is fixable just not a high priority as it does work...
Bluetooth audio - working now thanks to bgcngm
Camera - working. GCAM also working (the generic 845 one from OP6 gcam thread)
DT2W Fixed
GPS - FIXED!
Speaker - Fixed
Fixed wifi and RIL.
Added lots of stock blobs.
Wifi display etc etc etc.
Some notch support. (Added all that lineage 15.1 had available)

Speaker doesnt work in calls yet. (Unsure if at all) Handset does work in calls.
Fixed wifi and RIL.
Added lots of stock blobs.
Wifi display etc etc etc.
No display optimisations done yet for notch or DT2W but thats easy fixes for tomorrow.

This works for both variants yes.
Probably fails the checks as your device is unlocked.

just flashed it. Everything seems to be working really good! Only notch is not working as supposed. I applied the overlay.apk but notifications are still buggy. But other then that, really nice, looking forward for next updates!

Fix freezes front Gcam whit Kernel Overclock

It happens that I have installed a Kernel OC, KangarooX to be more specific, everything works fine except the front camera of the Google Cam that freezes.​

Oh yes, me too! But with PureCaf instead. It's strange because in the telegram group I seems to be the only person with this problem, and actually it never happen to me with previous version of the same kernel. I test kinda everything except a clean flash. The only thing I know for sure this is a hdr+ problem, if I turn it off cam work normally, and (at least for me) if I switch to front cam with hdr off and only then I turn it back on it will work fine. It's a really strange and unusual problem.
Some question, if you don't mind:
which firmware are you using?
which rom are you using?
do you use microG?
do you use some xposed modules? If yes, did you install the yahfa or the sandhook version, and which modules have you installed?
which magisk modules are you using, if any?
is your phone encrypted?
I flashed the latest firmware and I'm using the latest los from srfarias (and his latest purecaf too), I use microG, I installed Xposed YAHFA version and using xposed edge and xprivacylua, I'm using nanodroid and quickswitch magisk modules, my phone is encrypted.

I had the same problem and I solved it by flashing latest Illusion kernel 5.8
