I have to say that for a first build it is excellent, very fluid, it really surprised me a lot. And the bugs are the same ones already mentioned, because I did not find another bug, if it has some other, it is very insignificant, because it happened to me unnoticed.
Overall, thank TeamMex for this work, it started very well and has all my respect.

It was expected that it was not working, it is not a build for daily use, as it was described, are testing, as well as who installs, it is just to test the new feature, interface, nothing beyond that.

Hey guys,
I've installed the latest official SLIM7 with the stock OpenGapps.
When setting up the phone for the first time, google services keep crashing and the phone gets stuck on "just a sec...".
Tried re-flashing a few times, didn't help.
What should I do?

Thanks

F.A.Q:
What is the base of ROM??
A: As you can see in the OP, it's based on LineageOS
Is it the ROM pre-rooted?
A: No. It's necessary to do the flash of Magisk or SuperSU
How about CMActions?
A: Not included yet. I'm getting problems while building with CMActions included in device tree (see attached files). While I don't solve it, you can go using GravityGestures. Included! Update of day 08/30 or newer have it.
About the bugs/issues we have in ViperOS, how much of they we have?
A: You tell me. But PLEASE search before you post. If you don't found a solution here, post it, and remember to get a logcat.
I have a issue with Modem. Any solution?
A: Yes. Try to flash the clean_modem_status.zip and see if returns to work (Thanks to @bhb27 to provide us this GPS fix)
How to get a logcat?
A: Check it here. If you're using BHB27 Kernel Adiutor, it's so much simple, go to Logs section and press the "logcat" option.
Is it the BHB27Kernel working on this ROM?
A: Yes, it's working.
Xposed works?
A: Yes it's working, as Scrluiz said (Thanks to @Scrluiz for check it)
I have a bug and I have installed Xpos...
A: Stop. If you want to report a bug or anything like that, uninstall Xposed first. I won't give any support until you uninstall the Xposed

Another one! Quark is not dead guys!
Just loaded on my Verizon droid turbo.
Do we need to flash super user?
Edit, ha ha just saw the answer.
@Hlcpereira I want to say to you and everybody that's using/testing ViperOS now... ROM is compatible with Xposed Nougat (Unofficial), I tested and it's working on first boot including the ROM itself, GApps and Xposed flashable zip (by PurifyOS)! I don't know if you already know it, but I'd like to say it in another forum from here, it's too soon to tell about the ROM, but it's very stable and I love this black theme on settings!

Thanks for your great work I am going to test
Hello Hlcpereira really enjoying the ROM today. Had some problems last night with Google not syncing my contacts and getting SuperSU properly installed.
But retried this morning and got it all worked out. Thank you very much for sharing this with us. Really enjoying it, and look forward to running for quite some time.

Try reflash the GApps. If its FC after that, try flashing an older package of same variant. Check it here. And remember to get for 7.1.
Don't know if this is a bug or not , but last night and then again tonight if I open map's my phone shuts down.
It will restart and I can use any app but map's.
Here is a pic of it dropping down to zero and back up to 34 after reboot.

Here it's all right with Maps. I don't know if its because I'm using BHB Kernel, but anyway try uninstalling and installing Maps again. If don't solve it I'll check it better in this weekend.
Probably just the same deal as with all the other 7.1 Roms phone shutting down before it should.
I've had this happen before on other ones but when it happened on those it wouldn't reboot until I put it on the charger.
I did as you suggested though.

How to post
Reports without logs or step to reproduce are useless (read contribute).
Substratum is officially not supported into Lineage.
You are welcome to post your review: what is working, not working, etc... Check into know issues before.
You are welcome to report any typo, error, etc...
Try to keep thread clean as a dev reference. Thanks in advance.
How to report problems
How to get logs
Here you have some info about how collecting log. It is always better to include reference to the Installed version. This guide is really detailed and explained everything about bug reports. How to contribute
Code is like hieroglyphs for me:
No worries you can contribute anyway! Install the rom, do tests, read failure logs, look at internet for potential fix/similar users experience, is the biggest part of debugging. Then collect all of this and write your results here.
Code is like hieroglyphs for me and logs are worst:
No problem, collects logs the right way if you can, explain how you encounter the problem: detailed step to reproduce could be enough: explain exactly how you encounter the error/problem, it should produce each time someone repeat your steps. Then we will be able to fix it.
The hype train has arrived

Works great!
I flashed opengapps and was stuck on Setupwizard searching for updates forever. I fixed it by adding "ro.setupwizard.mode=DISABLED" to build.prop to skip it completely, in case somebody has the same problem.
Good job xkeita
It would be nice if we can work togehter again
both builds will improve so if you want write me at telegram

win win. i like this thread already
Please keep the link to the sources more recent. The linked manifest points to cm14.1 branches.
Regarding the kernel: Any of the sources you have linked to not have the fix for the BT vulnerability. Since I doubt that you expose your users of this risk, please link at least these sources. The GPL obliges you to do so as soon as you release sth. derived from it.
Besides that, one more word about keeping your device tree for yourself: Ofc, you may do that as they were released under the Apache 2.0 license. Nevertheless, it is kind of egoistic to do so as other developers are opensourcing their device trees as well and I am quite sure that you are or will be taking parts of them. Furthermore, the repos that are the basis for your work (where others have invested countless hours) were provided with openness and collaboration in mind. Using this work while completely ignoring these principles is not a good style.
I really hope that you will reconsider your decision to keep your sources closed and return to collaboration instead of competition only.
Camera work sms not work.. but as someone sends me sms it works ringing too ... package installer does not work ... thanks for the work!

If you're having issues and want to submit a report (Logcat) please make sure you are reporting from the stock kernel, not a modified kernel. Modified kernels can break or fix, even improve things. It depends. I can't get a full clue of the issue when you're not running the original kernel.

Your bug report MUST contain the following information
Code:
Phone Informations
*CypherOS version
* Gapps version
What you did:
* Wipe data: y/n
* Upgrade from previous official cypher build: y/n
* Restore with titanium backup: y/n
You're using (if yes write which one) :
* Task killer
* Phone cleaner / Battery enhancer apps
* Non-stock kernel

Bug info:
Along with that IT MUST contain log files. if you don't know how to take them then follow this
If it is a random reboot, grab kmsg/dmesg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

Nice to see AOSCP in the table. Thank you!
Alex your tester? I think I am hahaha
Thanks for CypherOS, Ayan!:good: I hope the performance on my titan is matched by this ROM. I don't think live display is fixed for any Athene ROMs, so comparison is baseless.

By live display if you mean the color of the display being orange at night, we have night light and it works in 64 bit ROMs

I'm sorry, I misspoke. It is implemented, but it causes severe
lag in Athene. It works for sure. In Titan, it never lags that much. It's not a criticism, just an observation. Thanks for investment of your time :good:
the ROM is excellent, but I have a problem they are not synchronizing the contacts of my gmail account, try other gapps and it happened the same install another ROM and the problem is not, you could solve this because this ROM is very good I just love it that's why two bugs can not be used

You'll need to give a proper bug report at this moment since both my tester and I have tested and night light has no lag unfortunately. Also if anyone is else using it kindly if they can also confirm it'll be helpful.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway. All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

What you mean with HWC? Sorry about my ignorance, i read something about (https://source.android.com/devices/graphics/implement-hwc) but I would not be understanding how this affects to the user interphase. Thanks in advance and regards from Argentina

Maybe su binary from official lineage16.0 works try flashing it. But it won't have app like magisk or supersu.
Is the mic quality good? I was thinking about flashing this rom but all aosp roms I tested had poor mic quality, even after flashing the mic gain fix zip
Magisk is working here j710mn but safetynet check shows ctsProfile is false therefore isn't play protect certified.
The mic sound is a low.
