Has anyone successfully moved their Sprint Galaxy S9 to Verizon? I'm being told it's not possible.
Sprint has told me they are unlocked and I have paid for the devices in full.
Thanks in advance!

Since Verizon does have BYOD, have you tried putting your IMEI in over at Verizon's checker?

I have, but it says not eligible. Though, I'm not sure that really means anything aside from it not being in their database. When attempting to port over in-store, their order app says "device not found".
I would think they just need it to be added? I have been told by numerous Sprint agents that the device is unlocked and when looking in the phone settings, the UICC Unlock status is: "Your device is unlocked for any SIM card.".

Got a used N7.
Works fine with the AT&T SIM from my phone.
Does not work at all with any T-Mobile SIM that I tried (even went to the store to where they gave me a new SIM to try).
With T-Mobile, I always get the error message:
"Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network"
... and on the lock screen it says NO SIM CARD
Can this be fixed?
T-Mobile customer support gave me no issues activating the tablet data plan on the device (i.e. IMEI is good?)
PS: Also - when I check the IMEI on swappa it shows as activation ready/clear for Verizon. But the N7 should be unlocked? And it DOES work with AT&T ....

Check imei status for tmo. Here http://www.t-mobile.com/verifyIMEI.aspx
Only time I've seen that error is when device has been blocked on two's network. Even if the website shows clear go to a Tmo store and ask them to run imei and let you know.

IMEI is supposedly not blocked by T-Mobile.
Since it is a "non T-Mobile" device they blame the device and refuse any help.
The Asus Nexus 7 obviously is sold unlocked by Google, so that leaves me in a pretty ****ty situation.

Guys,
I got a Sprint Note 10+ from one of my friend who was leaving for good to a diferent country. He is on Sprint. I am on AT&T. What's the process to flash this to make it work like a Note 10+ on AT&T?

Sure hope he got Sprint to unlock it for you before he left. Because if not, you'll have fun getting it to accept your att sim card.
If the unlock is done already you should be able to factory reset and insert your sim card and it should detect and customize for att settings.

He didn't. Any one that can provide unlock codes for a reasonable price?

Moving across the globe won't prevent your friend from getting a hold of Sprint and requesting the device to be unlocked.
Try getting in touch with him and ask him to take care of it. As long as the device qualifies for unlocking with Sprint then this shouldn't be an issue.
Do i have to flash ATT firmware ?

Is the phone network/sim unlocked? If it is then the process on how to do this has been covered indepth already. Be aware though that some features will only be provisioned to phone's that AT&T sells (they determine this by an IMEI whitelist). This also has been discussed extensively on the forum.
If your phone is not sim/network unlocked then you will be wasting your time as it will only work on the Sprint network. At this point get a hold of your friend who gave you the phone and ask him to get a hold of Sprint. Your friend will need to ask Sprint to unlock the phone, provided the phone qualifies to be network/sim unlocked by Sprint.
I bought my phone from Verizon and OEM Unlock is grayed out. Is there a method to make this active? Do I need to switch carriers? Do I call Verizon and ask for something specific? Am I screwed? From what I've read, I feel like I'm screwed.

There's nothing that can be done if you purchased a Verizon model except return it if you can and get an unlocked/non-Verizon model.

Okay, thanks.
Huh, I hadn't thought of that, switching carriers and getting unlocked. I'm taking my family to T-Mobile this weekend. I just cannot afford Verizon anymore in this economy.
I had a phone unlocked previously (going from T-Mo to Verizon) and it required the device to be paid off and then a phone call to the carrier before the option was available. I'd recommend a quick call/chat with Verizon, I'm pretty sure there is no reason you can't unlock the device as long as it is paid off.
Verizon does not link their SIM unlocks to OEM unlocks. There is no conversation to have with them.

What @LLStarks said. Verizon devices simply cannot be bootloader unlocked.
Wondering if anyone else has went through this. Pre Ordered my S22 Ultra directly from Samsung and paid for it in full. I was a T Mobile customer at the time. AT&T gave me a better deal so i decided to Switch. The At&T rep submitted a request to port my phone number over to At&t which killed my T Mobile account instantly. I Put the AT&T sim in my phone and received an error, Not allowed to use this sim, go to settings and "Network Unlock this phone. When i try and go to the settings to unlock the phone i get another error. "Couldn't Unlock Your Phone, Your Phone isn't eligible to be Unlocked, Reason Code: 116. I called T Mobile and in their system my phone shouldn't be locked since i purchased it from Samsung and paid for it in full. I've been getting the run around for the past few days, is there any way to Network unlock this phone my self??
You need to speak with T-Mobile T-Force via Twitter. Error 116 indicates it's locked to T-Mobile.
Sooo, to get this resolved, i had to do a 3 way call with T Mobile, Samsung and At&T. Finally got it unlocked. It was kinda of funny, T Mobile kept blaming Samsung and Samsung was blaming t mobile.

please sir, I must know who ended up unlocking the phone. i am going through the exact same thing, literally. i have spoke with both tmobile and samsung on 3way and still have yet to resolve.
Sim Locking is still a thing in US? It's illegal in EU AFAIK..
Oh man, I'm not on here much. So, i believe AT&T was able to unlock it once it was in their system. My thoughts are, once my t mobile account was killed while the phone was network locked that was what caused the issue. If i had network unlocked it before my T mobile account was killed i think everything would have been fine. My thoughts anyway.

How'd the end up unlocking?
I am curious as well.
I'm in a similar situation where the carrier and Samsung are each saying the other is at fault.
Hi guys, does anyone know if there is a solution to this kind of issue?
So I saw a listing of a used Verizon S22+ on OfferUp, asked for IMEI and used that IMEI to ask Verizon rep if the phone was clean and can be unlocked. To my surprise, the rep told me that the phone is clear and its already unlocked. So of course I bought the phone (got a good deal too, only $140 in great condition), but when I pop my MintMobile sim card in, it keeps saying "This phone cant be activated on another network" or something like that (I havent tried other SIM cards from other networks though). I contacted 3 other Verizon reps and of course they all told me that the phone is unlocked??????!!!! I have tried flashing different ROMs (U1/XAA, U1/VZW) and factory data reset with no luck. Anything else I can do in this case? Third party unlock is so expensive.
Thanks for reading

Probably. At least try to figure out why it is not working. If anything, they can pop a Verizon SIM to test it. If a Verizon SIM works, but other network SIMs don't, then the phone wasn't unlocked. Verizon unlocks its devices after 60 days. It is possible, that the device was unlocked by Verizon, but because it not on its network when at the time of unlocking, it may not have finished the unlocking process. If that makes any sense.
In a nutshell, if the IMEI is good on Verizon's end, then the phone may not have "gotten the memo" because it was offline at the time. That is probably a poor analogy.
