MTKDroid tools does not work for 820ts.
Why do you want to restore? Did you format your phone with SP Flash Tool?

yes i did , with option (format all + Downoad) because my 2nd SIM didn't work after I flashed lollipop ROM ,it shows "Slot2: no SIM detected" when the phone boot or when I insert the SIM .
So I thought it maybe solve it but it seems that it became more complicated .
is there any way I can restore my IMEI first then we may talk about the 2nd SIM ?.

Follow these steps: (Only works on Kitkat firmware. So if you're on Lollipop you'll have to flash KitKat first)

Send a screenshot of the MTK drivers you have installed
I attached a screen shot for the driver you told me to install (Gadget CDC VCOM) .
and I deleted the driver which i used with SP flash tool (MediaTek USB VCOM ) to avoid any mistake .
note : when I connect the phone to write the IMEI, it instantly starts up and boot in download mode and anew device
shows in device manager named HTC like you see and the attached image .

Actually both drivers are needed.
Use these drivers https://mega.nz/#!MoMEWRqA!57djmSN3BOimherVGBH3RxrmitdE0XJMwEcny_5wmwc
Install these drivers:
MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port
MediaTek preloader USB VCOM Port

and its working again .. after I installed all the drivers you gave me .
I'm very thankful .
can you suggest for me the reason why I suddenly cant use the 2nd SIM after I flashed lollipop
for the first time ?? it shows notification when phone start up "Slot 2 : No SIM card detected Please check if the SIM card is ready" is it related to flashing the new ROM OR it's hardware issue ,knowing that when I pull the SIM and reinsert it ,the notification appears again .
Note : I flashed many ROMs including the stock with variety options (format all + download ..)
and not worked .
again ,thank you very much .

First, Just to confirm were you able to write back the IMEI numbers?
And does Slot 2 work on the Kitkat firmware?
-Yes i was able to write back the IMEI numbers by folowing the steps you mentioned and installing all the drivers you mentioned an all previous comments .
-Actually No, slot 2 doesn't work with any ROM . Is there any software-related action i can do before starting hardware check for the slot 2?
-filnally after I did (format all + download) a few days ago ,
An error stars appearing between Wifi networks says"NVRAM warning : Err = 0x10" as a network !! As you see in attached screen shot .
My Apology for annoying but HTC is hard to work with .
I think that is likely a hardware issue. Did it start after you formatted the phone with SP Flash Tool?

no brother.dont need to flash developer room , if your corrent room is root.
just put phobe in diag mode.with command : adb shell
su (after enter this command , grant root access from phone)
setprop system.at-proxy.mode 1(1 for sim 1 and 3 for sim2)
after this command , phone connects to pc with android virtual port(in device manager , in ports , it will be shown).this way is just work in android 5.if you are in android 6 , you must downgrade to android 5 and try.port will be open with phone tool and it dont be freeze in settings(1/3).
about drivers: drivers must be intel soc drivers.in windows 7 you install that drivers normally.in windows 8 and 8.1 and 10 you must disable driver signature(search google for that).

After months of researching on how to downgrade Nokia 8.1, i finally find a way to do it.
NOTE: You don't need to unlock the bootloader
NOTE: Do this at your own risk!
NOTE: I'm not an expert in this stuff, but I will try to help you all I can. If you find there's a missing in the steps, make sure to tell me ASAP
(Steps)
1. Download the firmware/rom that you want to downgrade on
- I downloaded this (Android 9 stock) ---> https://bit.ly/3q6t7Vv
2. Extract the firmware file (If its in ZIP format) to somewhere you can access easily.
- the firmware format should be .nb0 or .mbn
3. Install Nokia Drivers (Idk if OST Tool will install the driver needed automatically )
4. Find a Nokia OST Tool free account in youtube or in any platforms like google and etc. (BECAUSE OST TOOL CRACK DONT WORK!!!)
- after you find a free account.
- enter the given mac address of that account to ---> device manager / Network Adapters / (your network controller) my network controller is "Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller" / advance tab / Network Address / tick the value circle / enter the given mac address on the tutorial you find.
- after applying the mac address, go now and sign in the free account you got for OST Tool.
5. Install the OST Tool / OST LA version given on the video tutorial you find.
6. Open OST Tool / OST LA, (you can find it in start menu).
7. Type in, the free account you got.
8. You should be signed in now to OST Tool / OST LA
9. in Ost Tool, Click next
10. Click browse button and locate the firmware file you downloaded earlier. (.nb0 or .mbn)
11. then, set the update option to NORMAL DOWNLOAD, and ERASE USER DATA
12. Turn off you phone
13. once turned off, connect your phone to pc/laptop through the original charger cord. OST Tool should automatically detect your phone and set it to download mode. (If not make sure you install the drivers carefully, or do a computer restart.)
14. Click Next
15. Your device should now downloading the firmware from OST Tool
16. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE DEVICE
17. once done, your device will reboot
18. Congrats for successfully downgrading
19. make sure to set you mac address back to default.
NOTE: I'm not an expert in this stuff, but I will try to help you all I can. If you find there's a missing in the steps, make sure to tell me ASAP
Does this tuto would work on downgrading from 11 to 9 with lock bootloader and oem greyed out ?
While trying to install a Custom ROM, all went wrong with a hard bricked Redmi Note 8T as result.
Have been able to revive the phone in EDL mode (Test Points method). Now running again on MIUI Global 12.5.5 (RCXEUXM).
However, the IMEI's are nulled, can't activate a SIM card. Only WiFi works.
A first, essential step in the process to repair the IMEI's, is to open the diag mode. Found a few methods, but none of these methods work.
Not via *#*#717717#*#* (Open diag failed), not via adb devices // adb shell // su // setprop sys.usb.config diag, adb (Permission denied).
The phone is rooted with Magisk; recovery OrangeFox.
Does anyone have a helpful suggestion how to proceed?
Follow-on: Meanwhile, I've been able to open the Diag-mode. Apparently, one or two switches in Magisk had masked the rooting of the phone.
Now on to editing the qcn-file with the correct IMEI's. First,I have to figure out the location of the two IMEI's, and then to correct these into the correct values.
To be continued...

I have had the same problem with my previous Redmi Note 3. And I tried so may ways to re-write the IMEI number. Finally I found a little software on the net and using my computer I was able to re-write the IMEI number to the phone. I was a long time back, so I dont remember the exact name of the software. It was something like IMEI writer (root). Connected the phone which was also rooted. Then opened the software on my PC and the software asked for superuser access, which I granted on the phone. Then there from the pc using the software I entered the IMEI numbers for both sim1 & 2, and applied then reboot phone. After reboot, the phone then detected the simcards and the imei were back.

My current problem: I can find a .qcn file and have to edit it with the proper IMEI's. Found a Qualcomm IMEI Rebuilder tool, but that tool doesn't work. With a Hex-editor it is difficult to find the proper location. Found the location of one IMEI and then saved the file with a different name. Loading that file into the Rebuilder tool indeed shows (one) correct IMEI. Have installed that file with QFIL, but when I check with *#06#, it shows a completely different IMEI...
Meanwhile, I've searched for IMEI write (root). Found IMEI Tools (ROOT)_1.4_apkcombo.com.apk.
Prooved incompatible for my phone.
Then found qualcomm-smartphone-write-imei-tool-v1.01.apk
Tried that out, but couldn't establish communication with the diag-COMport.
In fact, I can't activate the diag mode any longer... Tried and re-tried, but all in vain.
When I enter the last command ('setprop .... etc.), communication via the USB port is also stopped. Re-establishing that doesn't make a difference. No COMport appearing in device manager or in QFIL...

UMT works with dongle? Price?
I tried Hydra, but got a Trojan Horse warning, and therefore broke off installation.
Umt needs dongle.
First restore original qcn(unedited) then try flashing ENG firmware.
