Yes i did.
Then you would not have regular recovery, you can only have one at a time.
What method did you use to root? What recovery did you use?

SuperSU says.....There is no binary installed, and super SU cannot install it. this is a problem! if you just upgraded to android 4.3 you need to manually re-root. Any clues on what to do?

It wouldn't matter because you've already tripped the warranty bit.. but that is how you reset the count before 4.3..

Glad it all worked out.
For reference, Recovery Log is stored in /Cache/Recovery folder.
hello everyone, i have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Note II(GT-N7102 Daul sim) that i got from a friend of
mine. im not sure if its a clone or not but im having hard time putting in a custom recovery. the odin
method will not work nor will it go into odin mode and yes ive tried several different ways and it simply
will not work. ive been at this for about a week now.
so my question(s) at this point is:
1. Is there a flash-able recovery zip file that i can install via stock recovery?
2. Is it safe flash a custom recovery using the skipsoft tool kit via sideloader in the stock recovery(ADB)?
or
3. is it safe to install a custom recovery through the Rom Installer App?
morale of the story here folks is i just want put in a custom english rom but i cant do that without a custom recovery. and if anything i just want Gapps to work on my current rom(for now anayways)
also this probably off topic but i would like to know if theres a way to tell if i have a clone or not
your help and wisdom will be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!!

Hi there,
I recently updated my S4 mini with the latest Milestone Cyanogenmod ROM.
When I did this, the process informed me that if I have a compatible recovery I could update the rom in an automatic process. As my recovery (clockworkmod) wasn't compatible I had to do the process manually.
Can anyone confirm wich recovery is compatible with this automatic cyanogen update?.
Many thanks in advance.

I use latest TWRP from the TWRP thread, it supports it.
I'm not sure about CWM, I never used OTA updates when I had it installed

You can, as mentioned above, however @ne0zone75 recommends using the tar.md5 file using Odin (think it's considered a little more reliable)

I have a problem with flashing the latest version of TWRP. Only 2.8.7.0 works. The others show a success message on the PC but when i select to boot into recovery, it just goes back to bootloader. Am using rooted stock Marshmallow. What could be the issue?
