Simple Kernel
For 4.4.2 stock based roms and stock variants
- Based on Stock LG 4.4.2 Kernel
- Thermal control (Bricked)
- Mpdecision replacement (Franco Mako Hotplug)
- A single, well tuned interactive governor based on CAF source, not bloated with tons of govs. Still contains performance gov for users who need it
- Tuned frequency control, cores will not max, boost or turn on unless needed. This saves battery without losing performance,
- CAF touch boost driver (Will ensure cores do not go crazy when touching screen like stock)
- Voltage Control
- Many improvements (see git)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
FAQ
Can you add "x" governor?
I will not add additional governors. The goal of this kernel is a simple, fast smooth kernel with one well tuned governor that works as intended. There is no advantage for me to add additional governors to my kernel, only downsides.
Why are 2 cores online all the time?
The hotplug I am using uses 2 cores online. Leaving 2 cores online while the screen is on is more efficient on both battery and performance rather than having the second core hotplugging nonstop.
Warning on undervolting - It's not worth the stability loss. Since LG introduced the 4.4.2 kernel they switched the power drivers and the new drivers are much more sensitive to reduced voltages. If you undervolt do not report stability issues or reboots. This was not implemented by me, it was done by LG in our new kernel.

I have not looked into this bug at all so I'm not familiar with it, I need to research the problem. Haven't noticed anything weird on D801.
Testing on d800, just downloaded, flashing, and will report back tomorrow
D802 version working good for D806. First custom Kernel for Stock Kit Kat, congratulations!!
Is Interactive the best choice for Governor? Let's see...
I see "Multicore Power saving" set to "2" by default, wouldn't that setting degrade our phones performance? Could not find the exact effect for that one, but stock kernels use to be "0".
Thank you dr, much appreciated!

Hah, this interactive is really good, the freqs are controlled very well and don't jump all over. It also doesn't turn on additional cores if they aren't needed. I had to remove LG's cpuboost driver to have stable control of gov's in general on 4.4.2 kernel. I'm not sure why they added this driver anyway it makes freqs go crazy.
As for multi-core its "ok" when you use a standard hotplug with 1 core online. Mako hotplug has 2 cores plugged on with screen on so the change actually works out well, you are free to experiment with turning it to 0 or 1 but I have found 2 to work best with no performance hit.

Kernel working fine on d800.
cloudypro 2, v1.2, bootloop on d800. For some reason the first time it booted fine, everything was working well except Ultimate Dynamic navbar couldnt be triggered, so I rebooted, and it threw itself into a bootloop. I thought maybe it could be Xposed, so I used the recovery method of disabling it, still no go. Could not get a logcat.

Could be xposed, need more testers. Had d800 confirmed working here and by PM. The kernel wouldn't stop your navbar from working.

It didn't stop the stock navbar - It stopped Ultimate dynamic navbar from being triggered when i swiped from the bottom of the screen. It was strange. I'm going to do a fresh install and see if that changes anything
Does it support F320S?
I only found F320K from the download link.
What do I need to provide if want F320S get support? Thanks.

As far as I try, I can't make init.d support for enforcing samsung official LP OA7 to work by editing its ramdisk.
Even using term-init.sh for universal init.d enabler on official rooted OA7 enforcing and prism barebone enforcing, will not work.
Have u tried to enabled it but fail?
I think, maybe becoz your kernel boot at enforcing state.
If you completely remove enforcing and set permissive or disable selinux only, its different story
I'm sorry for my bad english.
If I disable selinux , the kernel would not boot ( I tried doing that ) so I'll see what I can do about booting in the permissive mode itself
And then maybe the code for init .d in the ram disk may work

OP updated with second release
changelog :
using LZO compression instead of XZ , kernel is heavier but execution is faster (eg; booting time is less) also this should fix the high battery drain
Kernel boots as permissive
PS:
1) The code in the init.rc does not get executed for init support ( ill work on it soon after my exam in a day or two )
2) Please test the battery life and performance on this one
Thank You
What are the two frequencies available?
The min and max
BTW I found that on some apps the frequency can't be set
For example in aero control you can't set frequency but you can use memory tweaks like ksm on it
On the other hand in no frills you can use only min and max frequency
While on cpu tuner you get three frequencies min , max and 600Mhz
It's your call mate what you want

-Current miui 9 feels like 10-15% faster than last stable miui 8.
-Ram management is still abysmal.
-Slight lag and stutter is still there(I think it's due to "ondemand governor" bringing "Interactive governor" could have solved this)
Therefore my conclusion is "cm 11 r24 still best rom out there for redmi 1s"
Proper tweaking of "ondemand governor" changing "Internal storage I/O" to "deadline"
reducing zram to 160-210 gives performence almost like cm11 r24.
Debloating the rom gives more free ram.

Cm 11 r24 need to be tweaked using kernel auditor for best results. The new miui 9 beta too functions as fluid as cm 11 r24 after tweaking and debloating plus it has better animations, great battery life and material design.
The above short review I posted about miui 9 is that of the first day of my use without any tweaking and debloating.
I my self have shifted to miui 9 7.8.31 permanently today after testing it for few days

It depends on what you want. If you havent done the thermal mod, limit cpu to 2ghz max, or even less. Try undervolting it also, see how low you can go before it crashes. Also using noop as scheduler might (in rare cases, such as benchmarks) give noticeably better performance (2800 with bfq and 3250 with noop on antutu io score)
Tnx again i will test more
After some play with some roms , yes i love lineage its smooth but camera ...... this is with stock kernel , now im just flashing between Fulmics (great battery , i have some lag /heating in my games) , and Clean rom (im in love use with extra debloat its what i need but lags /heating). all rom used stock or with other kernels , still i try to configure a kernel like a pro for heating issue and lag but failed , now on lineage the heat its not there (or its very low) and the lag its 0 , still waiting for someone to give me some tips for setting kernel on fulmics or better clean rom , if lineage kernel it can do this why rest no ?

+1
If only raw performance your priority you can go with Jaguar.
If you like stability + battery Viper +heliox 10/7 +sun cooling 3.x is the way to go.
Overall performance + stability Citrus by Miju + official kernel/heliox 10/7 + sun cooling 3.x.
H2OS is also good for performance only downside is Cam2Api (or portrait).
Didn't tried OxygenOS.
Its viper indeed.Just have a try.
I see Zuk forums have lots of roms and the roms for nougat are decreasing compared to oreo. And i have treble los15.1 currently. I have used pixel experience, jaguar, cardinal,rr; all of them were great in my opinion. For gaming jaguar was preferable ( all in stock kernels & no akt). So is it gud to go back to nougat again..? Will i really get better stability (balance of performance and battery) than these already super developed oreo roms.?
