Installation
Windows
Download the Zip file
Extract the folder
Make sure ADB and Fastboot are working well on your device and they're both on a %PATH% (C:WindowsSystem32 for example) folder
Run XiaomiTool.exe and enjoy

Linux
Download the zip file
Extract everything in a folder
chmod +x XiaomiTool or run sh XiaomiTool (The one on the main dir)
Insert your password when asked (see here why it's needed)

chmod +x Start.sh
Execute Start ( ./Start.sh )
>> If something goes wrong make sure you can execute adb and fastboot without root access, if not run sudo ./Start

Which one should I choose?
> Windows : it works on all windows-powered Pcs and on Wine, it only needs adb and fastboot
> Linux : if you're running a debian-based distro
> Unix : (mac) os X, *bsd and it may also be good on other linux distros where the linux one does not work (well)

This tool forces system to use art as default runtime but i am not sure if it will work on miui kk too

Not stable if you're are on 4.9.5 developer rom... Settings force close, security force close.. Some apps force close

Youtube vanced

i m having a problem with youtube vanced...after updating to china stable 10.2.1.0 rom on my whyred *picture in picture* feature of youtube vanced isnot working....only audio hv been playing on the background... i tried it on latest beta 9.1.1 too...the result is same...previously it was working superb...does the latest rom hv issue? some one plz help me...thanks in advance...

Go to setting>apps> YT VANCED> Other/advanced permission > enable display over other apps

Miui blocks displaying over other apps by default you can enable it from app permissions , you have to enable pip permission as well as display over other app permission

Just lock the screen and unlock, you'll see the pip

I have it installed on my Redmi Note 5 (China) 6 Gig 64 Not rooted
It works well
But I cant get it to sign in
I have the latest version of everything

Latest MicroG was installed first
I had OGyoutube before I know what to do while installing
but just wont sign in login to my Youtube account

No one has any idea what the above problem will be ?

PiP doesn't trigger with full-screen gestures. Switch to Buttons, or open another app from within YT Vanced to trigger PiP mode.
Edit: Perhaps it works in stable / latest dev, or I did something wrong when I tried.

Hi there
I also have Redmi Note 5 Pro and YT Vanced works fine but I can't find a way to log in. Of course I got MicroG but it said I already have it installed (so it must be installed by Xiaomi). I installed it anyway and there were no errors. It's not present on app list however (not sure if that's correct). YTV still claims I have not installed it and won't let me log in.
Any clues?

I'm running a custom ROM (Havoc) hence some of my build keys may be different:

Same with my device..Mi 11x 6GB version

Mi unlock tool showing 168 hours wait after already wait for 7 days

I tried to unlock bootloader of my redmi note 8 pro. I tried with mi unlock tool , then it's shown 168 hour wait time. After 7 days(i.e 168 hours) I try again and it's showing 168 hours more to wait. Help me to solve this issue.

1/Dont log out or change your Mi account.
2/Dont go to Developer mode if dont need (Press Add device again make you wait other 7 days) just wait and check time with Mi Unlock Tool.

this only works on mtk, I strongly advise against it, because with this you break the loader. (You can stay without IMEI, and so on)
Requires python 3.9+pip and git
git clone https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient
cd mtkclient
pip3 install -r requirements.txt
Download usb dk from here and install it.
Check the device connection using "UsbDkController -n", if you see a device with 0x0E8D 0x0003, then everything is ok.
Tested on w10/11
