H810 10o MM kdz or modem img - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I successfully unlocked by UsU thanks to steadfasterx. But I overlook the q&a and that was I must be on MM before unlocking....ahhhh I was on L.P.. I'm now searching for mm kdz for h810 10o. If anyone have pls share. Twrp successfully installed. Gpt compatability is h811. Arb is 2.

You will have to extract in SALT to determine whether arb 2.

Thanks for reply and links. I've already try this file as described in thread. OTA starts and phone reboots into TWRP., don't know what to do from here. Luckily u gave me an idea to check in SALT. Do i rename the file as .kdz? Meantime i'll try it as kdz in salt.

File from this link(dlpkgfile) rename to dlpkgfile.kdz and in SALT, extract KDZ after some seconds this error
"This KDZ has: an ARB of: arb-detect-error" So renaming to kdz is not working. What other way in SALT to recognize? do u have any idea? If yes pls let me know.

OK, sorry I didn't download and extract it. Doesn't look like a complete kdz file. Do not use that thread process or any other app other than SALT to extract a proper kdz file to get the mm modem image.
I would then, in that case, google search for:
LG H81020 KDZ
with a version letter closest to o, e.g., LG H81020p; LGH81020q ... etc.
and then extract in ONLY SALT to determine whether arb 2.

Ok thanks i'll try to find one and post the results afterwards.

Searching for files but not on the net there is any file. It's look like as O+ve or O-ve blood is rare, now 10o MM is also rare...

Solution: Downgrade from MM to LP by using lg up

first of all i want to say that i already seen similiar thread like mine but it is all about using tot method but my thread is all about lg up .
First of all it"s not my work, full credit goes to autoprime. On autoprime thread in the first page i dont see the updated dll file,he gives the update few page later. So i think people face problem during downgrade like me, So thats why i am opening this thread but if moderator thinks its not nedded, please delete this thread.
so here are the Steps
download kdz for your phone from here http://lg-firmware-rom.com/
install dll file from attachement
installing lg up and how to connect your phone...follow the instruction from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/lgup-install-kdz-mm-lp-t3249803
make sure you install dll file before lg up.
Open LGUP on your computer, click on upgrade and point it towards your LP KDZ. Close LGUP and re-open LGUP and select refubrish.. Make sure you select REFURBISH this will do a full wipe, tick BIN file. Press Start. Now you are done and hope it helps people, who are face trouble during downgrade like me also don't forget to hit thanks if it's helpful to you.

How do I register the DLL file? I am running Windows 7 64-bit and I get this error when trying to register using regsvr32 in both system32 and syswow64 folder.
The module "LGVS985_20140620_LGFLASHv160.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found. Make sure that "LGVS985_20140620_LGFLASHv160.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again.

Thank you for your help, much appreciated. I have been running into this problem when trying to refurbish 47a or 48a. When LGUP is waiting 120 seconds for restart (about 80% in LGUP), my phone just keep restarting without completing the installation. It keeps bootlooping and then LGUP keeps waiting for my phone to restart. LGUP will say 100% but my phone is just bootlooping constantly.

LG D850 partition.txt? Need it for BoardDiag.

Hey, guys.
I was wondering if you know how to get the partition.txt file from an AT&T LG G3 Stock ROM .tot through LG Firmware Extract? I recently bricked my phone is this is the second to last step, but the one I'm having the most trouble with. I have the .tot file as well as the .dll file, but I can't seem to find partition.txt from either of them.
Putting the .dll file in the program just gave me an error, the .tot file basically extracts all the files EXCEPT the one I'm looking for. I tried doing it in BoardDiag as well; it came up with the same results. I'll try to redownload the stock firmware and see if it was incomplete, but I don't think that's likely.
Anyone have any clues?

Ok.Download the .tot file of your stock rom.Kdz not work thats why you neef the .tot file then open boarddiag. At the end of boarddiag, you need to select the bin (in which select the downloaded .tot) and then select the output destination folder where you want to get partition file. Note : During process boarddiag will stuck and the pc shows not responding on boarddiag, dont worry keep it continue until the boarddiag says that the extraction is completed.
If i really help you then you can give me a like ☺☺.

It would help if you were more specific about what you are trying to do.
With that said, are you talking a stock kdz or a rooted system image? If a rooted system image you can do it with TWRP-in-FiSH, provided you can obtain the one you want from a member who provides his own TWRP-in-FiSH system image backup but you can't do a stock KDZ. Cross-flashing any different model firmwares, at this stage (until steadfasterX completes and publishes his boot loader unlock process), runs a high risk of a hard brick.

Hi Sdembiske, I read about the unnofficial bootloader unlock: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/bl-unlock-unlock-bootloader-proof-t3648288 and it seems H812 is not fully tested yet (see Proofs section). I'm not brave enough to try it on my phone until it has been fully tested. I know if everyone thought like me, there would be no progress... Thank god theres some brave people out there....

Thx. I was provided a tot of genysys with Twrpinfish injected. Just thought there might be a way. Also, itd be neat to flash my kdz or tot from the device
Thx to @the_naxhoo for this tot
Also there seems to be easy ways to edit a kdz with hex editors apps than winhex for example, which requires a hefty priced pro add-on. BTW I've flashed different region kdz with LGUP without issues.

Being able to flash different region kdz's is very Model specific - e.g. H815 International/Europe version plus a very limited number of other models and only one or two with locked bootloaders (most of which have issues from what I can tell). Some models, like the H812 are locked up tighter, running a very high risk of hard bricks screwing around with other model/region firmware flashing- So again, you have to be specific.
Apologies. I own a H815T and have flashed H815 kdz's , so my question is- if there is any way to zip a kdz for flashing, extract correct partitions for the zip , edit the kdz for flashing from the device etc, i think it would be a pretty handy tool
Just a thought.

Sorry if I'm asking in the wrong place but I followed your guide to bullet proof method to get started with SALT - FWUL 2.5 persistent.
I get to the welcome screen but when I press enter on 'FWUL 2.5 persistent' it says no such directory.
I have chosen -linux ,arch linux32bit (64bit wasn't available on my laptop) after following steps to create the .vdi drive in VirtualBox directory
Nevermind ,I had to use x64 arch Linux.

We should move this over to the FWUL thread.
First, confirm you have downloaded only from this location in the FWUL OP for the persistent versions (my concern here is that you have downloaded a forgetful version):
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=214529
Make sure you are running the latest version of (Windows) VirtualBox and that you have installed the Extension Pack as well.
Even if your Windows PC/laptop is 32bit, the VirtualBox drop-down menu should allow you, in the 'New' setup menu, to select Linux and under that entry, the 64bit Arch Linux OS (it should be right above or below the 32bit version in the drop-down menu) - that is what FWUL is based on ... i.e., it doesn't matter that your PC/laptop is 32bit.
Ensure you are matching your .img file name in the conversion command exactly to the persistent .img file name you downloaded, extracted and moved over to the VirtualBox original install folder to run the conversion command. Copying and pasting the conversion command from my post, is the most error free way to do it, provided the file name matches exactly to the .img file you downloaded.
Important: Insure you have enough available hard drive space on you PC/laptop to install the size of FWUL .vdi disk you created, in addition to the .img file you downloaded.
Check the following two locations on your PC/Laptop hard drive for the .vdi file you created from the conversion command.
C:\Users\Your_User_Name\VirtualBoxVMS
C:\Users\Your_User_Name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\
If you need to try again, remove the FWUL install and delete all FWUL related files - double check the two file locations above to make sure there are no FWUL related files there whatsoever.
Any further questions, please post to the FWUL thread.
Thanks dude. It worked :good:

Glad it worked - had me concerned there for a bit as I thought I laid everything out pretty succinctly in my original post, to avoid errors.

Yeah I downloaded 30GB FWUL.

KDZ to TOT, or .TOT of my model so I can recover it from hard brick.

Hello,
I have a LG G3 (D855P - Made and sold in Brazil) that I bricked while trying to root it with LGUP (actually to downgrade it first). It won't boot normally neither enter download mode anymore. When I plug it on windows it says "Quectel QDLoader 9008". Yes, Quectel, I assume it's supposed to be QUalcomm. Software version is V30A. So yeah, I'm trying to find the .tot for it because I could only find the .kdz file here:
*I can't post it because I'm new* Remove " dot " and add ".". And don't forget to add the http thing in the beginning.
pkg02 dot cdn dot gdms dot lge.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FWDCCTI972GMA1Y8685CZCL/D855P30a_00_0118.kdz
Question is: Does anybody have the .tot file for it?
Can I use random D855P .tot file or some variant? If so, which? Like 10A, 20A, or 30A. OR, 30B, C...? Since mine is 30A.
thanks and HELP!
Edit: managed to get Qualcomm thing. But no TOT for it Also, If it try another random tot for D855 I get "No AP... try pmic first".
I believe this tool will extract a TOT from a KDZ

It still misses the partition.txt needed in boardiag.
Perhaps this may help: https://web.archive.org/web/2015111...how-to-create-partition-txt-file-kdz-t3109859
I am not exactly sure because this is for a D502, but perhaps the theory will help.
Hopefully someone else can help out here.

LGUP Oreo DLL File for V30

I had this issue last night so thought id save people some trouble and share the the file needed incase you need to flash over 20D's KDZ file either to go back or forward.
Please unzip and put in C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model\common
Works with LGUP 1.14

I installed LGUP 1.14, USB DRiervs, etc... Download and uncompress uppercut 1.0.0.0. I downloaded the patched DLL 1.0.31.9. Even if I copy that dll on the uppercut folder or wherever i copy, the version shown on LGUP is always the 1.0.28.9... SO I cannot flash the latest Oreo KDZ
Help please?
thx in advance
you have to run lgup.exe not uppercut shortcut.

Hi, has anyone been able to revert back to N from O, please? I upgraded my H930DS (Hong Kong) to the Open Euro 20d ROM, but haven't been able to go back to N using either the patched LGUP or UPPERCUT (… I'm not happy with the limitation on the use of the dual SIM). With the phone in download mode, the error I get is "DLL for H93020d is invalid. Please install valid DLL package(*.msi) for the model". I get the same message if I try both methods with the phone in its normal operating mode. Thanks for any help.

Yes. I saw a report yesterday of someone who had downgraded. Just flash the KDZ:

to downgrade just use the new oreo lgup_common.dll and you should be able to flash previous N KDZs again in LGUP.

ROM or the KDZ? You probably mean the stock open European KDZ.
For the KDZ, go to the thread. Instructions are there.

Thanks, but I think the operative word in that quote is "should". I've tried that method with the phone in download mode and with it in its normal operating mode, but LGUP no longer recognises my phone model. I can get the LGUP pop-up with the serial port but the pop-up shows the phone as an unknown model, which I guess is the issue preventing the firmware update.
The version of LGUP_common.dll that I'm using is 1.0.35.3, which should be the latest. Its digital signature is dated ‎Tuesday, ‎19 ‎December ‎2017 3:33:29 PM. Its MD5# is c3df15812c1294028bfd330eb725519b.
i doesn't work for me on my ls998 v30+ sprint. do i need to make new folder (common) in the model folder? i tried with and without...
Looks like there's no going back...

Here is the reply I received from LG about reverting to Nougat (I asked them to do it for a fee):
"Dear Peter,
Thank you for contacting LG Customer Support. I apologise, but please be advised that we cannot put back your the previous software of your phone.
We suggest that you perform Factory Reset to your phone. This will not restore its previous software, but can fix issues of your phone. However, this will delete everything saved in your phone memory. You may back up first your files.
To reset:
Go to Settings
Select Backup & Reset
Select Factory Data Reset
If the issue will still continue, please let us know so we can assist you further.
Thank you. Have a great day ahead.

… However, I was able to flash my LGH930DS to Oreo for the LGH930DS using LG Bridge after a few attempts (I couldn't get UPPERCUT to revert my phone to Nougat), resolving my issue with using the dual-SIM with the cross-flashed firmware and thus obviating my need to revert to Nougat.
Looking for some guidance please & thanks.
I have a H933, converted using the Frankenstein method to a US998. Then Unlocked BL, TWRP and rooted. Upgraded to US99820d
I would now like to flash back to stock H933. I have installed the Patched version of LGUP. I have extracted the DLL here into a common folder inside the model folder. I put the phone in Download mode, plug it in and then launch LGUP (patched). it finds the device but then errors saying the DLL is not valid for US98820d and to get a compatible DLL.
